Been going to this location for 10 years but cancelled my membership this time as the fees have gotten obscene. My annual pass cost went up 20% this year when I went to renew, and almost was the same spike last year. Enough is enough! Goodlife offers no customer loyalty service or fixed pricing for long-term clients - the rates just go up and up and up. There are other decent gyms in town that cost less than half! They have lost a lot of regulars and trainers since covid which makes me think they are losing money and will close eventually. So long to the Good Life!

I have been a Goodlife member for 3 years now and really enjoy training here. The staff are great and the gym itself is very well equipped. Change rooms are great, could use a sauna though!

Very friendly staff; great trainers; not a gym where people “show off” but a friendly community of regulars. Great place to get fit at any age, any size! Never too busy. Very clean. Awesome classes with very dynamic instructors. Free parking. (I wish there were posters asking/enforce people to use 1 machine at a time and not use machines as a seat to chill & do texting. )

Edit 2- The Manager Drew Todd is a wonderful professional person. He resolved the issue with a refund finally. 4 stars 🌟 now (just for Drew)👍 Edit - From 5 Star to 1 Star I won't recommend this facility - Stay Away. I cancelled my membership and I have been told that everything has been processed but I noticed that the account has been charged again after 1 month. The person at Front desk told me that it was a mistake done by part time job employee and he will pass it to the manager for resolution. The Manager did not even bothered to call me back. When I called them back to enquire, I have been told that my account is still in effect and I need to pay $99 to cancel my membership. 👎 so please avoid this facility and do not fall in their membership trap.

The people that work there are very friendly and nice. I am visiting for a couple weeks and they know my name by day 2. The equipment variety is good but it has only 1 of each except power racks. They have more power racks than most gyms. It is a clean and the layout is not bad.

Really like this location. Use it when in town visiting family. Great selection of equipment (much that isn't at other locations) and not overly busy when I have been there. And very friendly and helpful staff.

Written by Paula Mitchell. I attended a personal training session with Derek Feuchtwanger today. I felt it was important to review the equipment and my fitness level given I have been away from the gym for 18 months. I found the session extremely helpful. Derek was very knowledgable and professional in his approach and focussed on helping me find ways to deal with a shoulder injury going forward. I left the session with a good practical approach to what I need to do to accomplish my goals. I would highly recommend Derek as a personal trainer or a resource at the club for fitness advice. He didn't pressure me to invest in personal training sessions based on my injury and current goals. But I would recommend him as a personal trainer based on today's experience.

Awesome selection of equipment! 4 squat racks, 4 Olympic lifting stations and plenty of free weights. Not usually busy too (maybe because of membership cost). I don't mind paying extra for clean, bright gym. I've read a lot about PT sign up being pushed on members but I haven't experienced it. I signed up at the old location though. If you want a gym where you don't have to stand around waiting for equipment (eg. Steve Nash FW) and U can enjoy a nice view I recommend. Only Con is price The staff are great but don't expect to meet many friendly fellow members!

Great location in downtown Victoria. It was a bit tricky to find how to get in before the mall opened (mall entrance off of Fort Street). It’s not the biggest and most equipped GoodLife I’ve been too, but it still has a good variety of equipment. I went early in the morning and there were no issues waiting for equipment. Friendly staff at the front desk.

Relatively small gym but got enough equipment for a good workout.

Friendly staff, good selection of equipment. Doesn’t get unreasonably busy at peak times. Lots of free weights, squat racks and even weightlifting platforms.

Really impressed with this location! Visiting Victoria for the first time and glad there was a nice GoodLife to go to. We came before the mall opened, parked in the underground lot, went up the parkade elevator to level 1 (inside the mall), then switched elevators to one that goes up to 4th floor where the gym is. It’s easy to find up there. Oh and free parking for 2 hours, just register your vehicle on the tablet at the GoodLife front desk. The change rooms are across the hall from the gym entrance, a bit abnormal but totally fine since it’s locked, and the front desk staff buzz you in. And the change rooms were great, newer and cleaner than other locations I’ve seen before. The front desk staff member Laurie was so nice, the nicest I’ve encountered at any GoodLife location, so shoutout to her for making everyone’s day brighter!

Nice goodlife inside a mall. Lots of squat racks. After hours entrance on View St. Free 2 hour parking in underground parking lot below the mall, entrance from View St.

I was visiting Victoria and wanted to try out this gym location. Interesting setup (workout area is a cross the hallway from the change rooms and showers, staff need to buzz you into that area each time you enter) the treadmills at this location seemed a bit outdated compared to the other locations I've gone to, and it always felt like I was on an incline even though I removed the incline in the treadmill... The TVs/connection were also poor. This location was a bit cramped given the layout so distancing was a bit difficult at times. Nice thing about this location is that there is a bit of a view of downtown near the cardio section, and they have different (arguably better) equipment compared to the other locations I've been to ( legs, glutes, core). Change rooms/shower areas were clean.

Pros : Great equipment and staff. Gym area is clean. Cons : The shower area isn’t the cleanest and now the fixing of showers keep getting pushed every week.

Solid goodlife with a nice view. The changerooms are located outside the gym as it's in the mall, but other then that decent gym with a good selection of equipment

Huge, very clean and welcoming gym. Lots of workout options and assistance. Took my very first Zumba class yesterday with Kumi, wow! She should get the prize for best fitness instructor for sure! She makes it personal and sooooo fun!!

I really enjoy this gym. I usually just do a ton of cardio and they have lots of machines. It seems like there is never more than 10 people at the gym, even less on the machines. I usually go in the afternoon before 3pm so that could be the reason. Staff seem friendly, they haven't bothered me since the free orientation/fitness ability test thingy. Parking at the mall for up to two hours if you're a member of the gym.

Good experience so far (1 year) Friendly, helpful staff. Five (I think) squat racks. Other members are considerate, at least when I go and I rarely have to wait for equipment. No complaints!

🫤 I want to start off by saying how much I liked the people in the gym. Both those that worked there (for the most part), and the people I met. 😠 I was interested in this gym since it is in my neighborhood, but the staff were so rude that I'm not giving them my business. I'll keep going to a saanich recreational centre instead.
