Cozy place to chill out and listen to English songs. Friendly staff. Plenty of seats available, but can get crowded.

We been guests of this pub located in the heart of Vienna for a couple of years. We got to know the owner and often had nice chats. The quality of drinks and dishes has always been satisfying. But since Covid and the accompanying changes the Flanagans encounters a loss of quaility. Especially the waitress today could really improve her abilities concerning politeness and service. 5 minutes after entering the pub she asked for our vaccination test very roughly, then she disappeared for about 15 minutes although the pub had to serve about 15 persons. As I went off to ask for ordering she got unfriendly... Food and drinks were quite good as usual... But also lost quality.

Oh my, such a golden gem in Vienna. The prices are excellent 4.50euro for a pint and 5.20 euro for a Guinness. The bar tenders are excellent, and the crowd is very nice and very chilled. Nice seating area outside and has the good rustic vibe inside. All in all, great prices, great atmosphere and great service. Obviously, they had Welsh, Irish and Scottish flags with no English flag...after all it's an Irish bar 🙄

Ordered the famous fish & Chip but when it arrived i was a bit disappointed not the same as it was a year ago. I got two small pieces and the chips where very small and burnt, the fish was not cooked enough as it was still raw ( I believe the COD fish was frozen). The only good thing on the plate was the peas and a piece ol lemon 🙈. The waiter that served was friendly but they might need to do something with the kitchen chef. I am being generous and giving them a three starr even though it should be less.

While not the most glamorous inside it’s a nice drinking spot and has friendly staff. The place is huge with tables for all group sizes, a bar downstairs and lots of standing room. The number of TV screens throughout makes keeping up on the various sports a breeze and the prices are reasonable too, with card payments accepted at the bar like a traditional pub. It’s a decent place which I’ll return to!

The Guinness is super, the Red is great, the tosti is good, the fish is ok, the chips (should be fried potato) .... Mmmm, I for sure hope that the Irish can survive this 😉. Boiled 🥔 in 🛢 . On the other hand, we loved the 🐔 wings.

Service was fast. We had to wait a bit for a table outside, but not too long. Had the best Fish&Chips I ever had. The next day we were thinking of going back again to try some others foods! Also the drinks were good too.

Nice bar, great atmosphere, food and drinks were very good value for a city centre pub. Staff are excellent. Guinness is cheaper than in most bars.

We frequent this pub as it’s just right of the corner where we live. We enjoyed the food, the service, except for one waiter who always looks like he’s being bothered and is too irritated to serve.

As an Irish Pub, it is a great place in Vienna. They offer numerous of draft and bottled beers. The tables outside are limited so you are lucky if you find one to sit at. The inside is huge (including the hall downstairs reserved for events) and you will never get bored. The service for beverages is fast but you have to be patient for foods.

We had a quick visit into the lovely Irish bar, well known by the looks of things it was very busy. Good beers and a fantastic selection of Whiskeys. Stephen Brown recommended the 2015 MVR and he wasn't wrong one of the best whiskeys I've ever tasted. Phenomenal friendly service he's a great asset to this bar and will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

As always I really good place for beers and fish and chips. Not the best one I got but it was fine. My friends got the hamburger and they said it was good. The place was full due to champions league match and it was super fun. We will come back

We had the vegetarian burgers. I had one with blue cheese. It was fine, it was sad the cheese was not yet melted else it would have gotten a much higer mark. The bloody mary's were great. Service was lovely, super friendly. And I liked being surrounded by people who are watching sport. It gives a nice vibe.

Great service. From the moment we walked within 20ft the staff had already said hello and waited to seat us. Ordering was instantly and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave suggestions. It’s just a simple Irish pub but the service and caring makes it great. (Nice cool breeze on a hot day too)

Been here many times when stopping into Vienna. Beers are cold and the Guinness is poured to perfection. Friendly staff. Good pub food. Gets busy late at nights. A good old Irish pub.

A real pub, with good atmosphere and service, a wide assortment of beers. Simple food, though no gourmet

  • 4/5 Atlashrugger 1 year ago on Google
Irish pub with sports on TV showing soccer and a bit of NFL which is why we came in on Sunday night. Only one channel of the game and NFL RedZone on tiny TVs opposite the bar so this is definitely not a sports bar for American sports but the raucous atmosphere makes it fun. We did end up ordering some food as the kitchen stays open till 11. If you're starving it's fine but I would stick to beer. The fish and chips looked ok but were soggy and tasted like frozen fish. The BLT we ordered was more like an English Bacon sandwich on a baguette with thin layer of not crispy lettuce. Not what we were expecting at all. I like bacon sandwiches just fine but if you call it a BLT, it needs to be a different style. Anyway beers were good, many selections on tap Bartender was friendly, all 👍

It is one of the best Irish Pubs in Vienna, with staff who actually come from Ireland!! For me, an Irish Bar/Pub/Restaurant, is somewhere you go and get real Irish ales & beers, whiskey, and more importantly, Irish food. Flanagans has all that, which is why it's one of the best places to go.

We ordered the wings, sausage and chips and also the fish and chips. The chicken wings was good and I did enjoy it. For the sausage and chips, it was your standard banger and there was plenty of chips. More than what I could finish. My wife had the fish and chips and she was disappointed as the fish and the batter was soggy. She did not enjoy the dinner.

Good for sports and Guinness. Table service is super even during matches. Menu fairly limited, mostly just deep fried for main meals which wouldn't be my first choice but expected for pub grub!

Accidentally found this place while walking back to our hostel. We loved the place so much we came back the nice day. One of the best pubs I’ve ever been too.

What a great rugby bar!! Showing Romania 🇷🇴 Samoa 🇼🇸 when nobody else was! We and the Vampires were cheering Romania from Vienna, gateway to the Balkans, but Tonga prevailed. So much fun, great spot!

It was absolutely amazing 👏 😍 🙌. The Guinness was perfect 🥰, the whiskey refreshing, the food 😋 delicious 😋 and I enjoyed the noise, laughter 😃 and the atmosphere. The service is incredible 👏. You can't go wrong selecting this pub - it moves like a well oiled engine 👌. I would also like to add the attention to detail was outstanding 👌 - how the bar staff & waitresses kept an eye 👁 on all the tables. I am beyond impressed.

Great pub! Our go-to spot in Vienna... Beers are affordable, atmosphere is always lively. There is a private cellar in the basement for a quieter experience. Friday nights it's usually completely full so book a table in advance.

Authentic pub with a simple and cozy atmosphere, a warm and welcoming place in the middle of central Vienna. Staff is nice and attentive, food goes beyond standard pub offers, including salads, vegetarian wraps, veggie variants of pot pie and burger. Prices are excellent, 5.2 € for a half liter of Guinness and food also fairly priced. Lots of beers on tap and more by the bottle, even mocktails, and waiting times were short. Only thing we missed was an Irish cider on draught (they offer Stowford). We'll be back as soon as we can.

Overcrowded and no longer welcomes dogs inside, even with a muzzle. I remember coming specifically to watch a football game listed as showing on their website and the bar man changed the channel over to rugby at half time despite there being more than one screen. Ill be taking my money elsewhere from now on.

Excellent Irish pub with good food. I had the beef and Guinness stew with apple crumble. Filled me right up! Staff are friendly and service was prompt, empty glasses regularly taken away and plenty of beers on tap! My only gripe and hence the 4 stars is they have 4 TV screen and they do show Premier league football but they only show one game on all 4 screens. (I didn’t ask but I think it’s because they only have one sky box but plenty of TVs screens). I came to this pub specially because of it’s proximity to something i was going to after the game but had to stream it on my phone. (I don’t support the teams that were being showed) Regardless, excellent pub to spend a few hours in you need a cold one!

Cool place for an evening beer. Not as crowded (and possibly not as cool :)) as the nearby 1516. The staff is very friendly. Toasts are basic, but tasty, and do the job well.

Great food for great prices! They also had a nice selection of beer. The waitstaff was very friendly and fast. It seems like a popular restaurant for tourists.

I was looking for some fish 🐟 and chips and I know for a fact that British, or Irish or Scottish have the best ones. So I found this place. I was also excited about my favorite beer ..Ale... Fish and chips was very tasty. Cod fish is my wife's favorite. And all the Ales were simply refreshing. Memories from my trip to Oban(in scottland) came back. There is so more to try. We will keep coming back for sure. Thank you team Flanagan

If you're Irish don't go here. Typical tourist Irish bar with non Irish customers. Bar staff rude and service terrible. Better bring ID and your covid cert. They seem to pick and choose who they ask for these. My opinion, give it a skip and head to the nearby Billabong Aussie bar.

Location is very good in the nice quiet street near Center. Service was ok but other than that the Pub didn’t have any special vibe. I was expecting more of the atmosphere. Anyways it was Wednesday evening so maybe there’s more going on on weekends.

It's a really nice pub with okish service, but I find it a bit lacking on the food side. They have a British breakfast/brunch, it's okay. Other options also seem a bit limited. So if you go for food, you may feel disappointed. However if you go for a pint of Guinness, you are in the right place. The waffles are really good too, a bit sweet but good.

Had a really great time there. People full of joy, polite stuff lot's of beer! Not really a fun of beer though but the Stiegel hell one smelled beautifully and tasted nice. Really glad we found such a place in Vienna, everything was so quiet!

Very good place. The waiters and waitress are very nice and the place is pretty cool. The prices are average. Food looks good too but we havent tried it yet. Maybe later. Very good discovery!!!

Great staff and fun. Very basic Irish bar, didn't sample the food as only drink and service which were great, Room for improvement are better cocktail choices, had all the ingredients for other combinations but not within the remit if management could allow at staff to be a little more flexible, great fun though

We visited twice whilst in Vienna. One of the times we sat outside and the other we watched the Champions League Final. It has a good beer garden which is great for sitting in the sun and the inside is very big too. It was extremely busy for the final, which was to be expected, so it was hard to walk around but meant the atmosphere was ace. The servers/bar staff are polite and accommodating. Only marked 1 star down as we didn't eat here and the food I saw being served didn't look like anything I would like. But overall, a great pub for a drink and it shows the football.

Nice place to hang out with friends and have drinks and snacks. If you are going in a group of 3 or more you can try the party platter.

Nice pub near the center. Drinks are reasonably priced (a large beer and a coke for €7.40) We didn't order food but it looked nice. The waiters and waitresses and really nice here.

😐 The pizza was so good! I’d definitely recommend the place for the people around the area. The atmosphere and the waitress were too nice. The only negative thing about it was the waiting time for someone to come and take my order, and again for someone to bring me the check.
