The portions of Wiener Schnitzel are huge! You can even share with another person and the price is really nice 👍🏻 The mixed salad is so good with the Wiener Schnitzel!! I strongly recommend this restaurant:)

We had Wiener Schnitzels at this restaurant for lunch, and they were big and very tasty! The products are not overpriced and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place has fine authentic atmosphere and is located near the Mariahilferstaße and thus is easily accessible.

I visited Schnitzelwirt in Vienna during my vacation for lunch on a weekday. It was not crowded, they managed to find a table for all seven of us in our group quickly. We tried their famous Wiener schnitzel. The schnitzel was thin and crispy . It was delicious. The potato salad was tasty too. The service staff were really friendly. Great atmosphere. Just a heads up, they only accept cash.

I had the most amazing Schnitzel ever in this humble establishment! They serve the best Schnitzel i ever had. No frill restaurant. Interesting to have a staff (Presuming the owner) working around in lab coat. The beef goulash is too salty for me though but i realise everything tasted pretty salty in Vienna. The green salad was interesting. When served, it was just a simple bowl of sliced vege but it was seasoned (which is transparent hence i thought no seasoning was added). Went very well with the Schnitzel. Very cosy place. Staff friendly. Lucky i went in earlier at 12pm. By the time i came out, queue has formed. Due to limited seating, they may ask you to share table with others which is fine with us.

I returned to this place after ten years and I was glad that the food is still tasty and authentic. Prices are reasonable (8.5€ for very big portion of wienershnitzel, 4€ for fries/vegetables, 4€ for large beer) and the service is very fast - we were served in 5-10 minutes. Interior is old school and the atmosphere is nice, staff is very helpful (special thanks to the Serbian waiter!), the only bad thing is that you will smell like a fried meat after you leave, so be prepared for that. I will definitely come back.

Authentic Viennese schnitzel-place packed with both locals and tourists. Delicious schnitzel with a potato salad is a must. Low prices and big portions. Recommended!

The right place to eat good schnitzel in Vienna. You have to wait in line a bit but it's worth it. The portions are really big. We tried two different schnitzels and they were delicious. There are pork and turkey options. The place gets very full. There is a possibility of sitting with others at the same table. But this is not a problem at all. I recommend it.

Food was fantastic, service was friendly. Busy place, you might share your table with strangers if you’re a small group or alone. To be noted they only have pork or turkey schnitzel. No traditional veal schnitzel. Food was inexpensive and very tasty. Definitely worth going

We went for dinner on the 7th of December 2023. We had to wait for about 40 min outside, because there were a lot of people waiting to eat as well. When we entered eventually, the waiter put us at the same table with the ones waiting behind, as we were 2 couples, which was quite weird, but acceptable. Everything was so fast-going, we barely had time to choose what to eat. The waiters are comedians wannabe, they are trying to make jokes, but not all of them are funny, though :) We chose 2 portions of Wiener schnitzel with potato salad, a glass of Coke and a glass of Apple spritz. We paid 35 euro + left a tip of 5 euro. We weren’t sure how big the portion was or if it included the side dish. BUT!!! IT INCLUDED. The schnitzel portion is made of 2 bigger than hand-size schnitzels and it includes a side dish of your choice ( potato salad, french fries or rice). Everything seemed freshly cooked and had a wonderful flavour! We loved it. The atmosphere isn’t the best as it is really crowded, but I guess this is normal for any popular restaurant in touristic place. DISCLAIMER: THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH!!

Amusing dinner experience. Cash only. Be prepared to wait. Take a breath and accept chaos, lack of organization, and no real waitlist list. [As a mfg process improvement person, partially drove me crazy!]. With that said, go in willing to wait 10 min or an hour. We (2) got to the restaurant and encountered a group forming. Went indoors to give them out names/see the wait. Waitlist didn’t exist. The head waiter asked for our details and I guess mentally stored the details. Due to the chaos, we went outside to wait. After a little, we decided we should grab a beer and drink while we wait. When waiting to order a drink (the servers were constantly running around, no one available to ask for a drink), the main server re-saw me, confirmed my party size and told us to follow. Key maybe to stay visible? Would he have found us outside? Was it lucky timing? Fate. We were seated with another couple. It was an amusing experience. Fun to each with strangers. Added to the experience. Food was top notch. Highly recommend if you don’t mind the chaos. I thought it was worth it.

Incredible eatery. I've been eating here since 2002. Still never disappoints though my visits are very infrequent as a resident of Utah, USA. My go-to is the chicken cordon blue. It is A LOT of food and worth every bit of the cost. Important note if you are a single traveler - If they aren't seating you in a reasonable amount of time you will benefit from pairing up with another single traveler in line. 4 groups of 2 and 4 people sat before me though I was ahead of them in line.

The restaurant was a wooden traditional cozy place. I took one schnitzel, one boiled potato salad and one large beer (0,5lt) for a total price 17,10€. It's a really nice traditional and not touristic place where you can enjoy your meal like a local. The schnitzel was huge and for a price of 8,8€ it's one of the best to try (value for money), especially if you take into account that the prices of schnitzel in Vienna centre are between 17-20€, without salad and beer. One thing to take into consideration is that this is not beef (veal) schnitzel but pork. Something I didn't like is the fact that you can only pay with CASH. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

We wanted to try traditional Austrian 🇦🇹 schnitzels in a cozy yet historic atmosphere and was very happy with the choice. Excellent quality of the food for a very good fair price. Large portions of food quickly delivered, good and fast service. We have visited twice in the same city break as we were very happy with this place, would definitely recommend a visit.

If you like schnitzel or want to try it, this is the place to come! Portion sizes are massive and great value for money. A portion of schnitzel costs just EUR 10 and comes with two adult sized pieces. Unless you have a mega appetite, I'd highly advise ordering just one portion of schnitzel and a couple of sides to share, this should be enough for 2 people. Whatever variety of schnitzel you order they come up freshly made, crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, just declious! At peak times it can get very busy so be prepared to queue and share a table with others. Staff are very friendly.

If you are aware of what you are getting into, then fantastic! An absolutely authentic Austrian pub atmosphere. The schnitzel is from pork, freshly made and super tasty! For 2 people with 2 large beers 40€. Recommendation! Get there hungry!

The service was super friendly and the wiener Schnitzel with cheese and ham was absolutely amazing. Crispy through the end and the cheese melting and flowing out of Schnitzel the whole time:-) it was really the best. I ate three times more than my usual portion to finish as I just couldn’t stop eating! The best of the best! :-) Please don’t miss!

Probably the best schnitzel I have ever had. Ordered the one that comes with rice, and garnished with ham, red peppers and mushrooms; although switched the rice for the potato salad.. Which was great decision! Paired it with a very chilled Grösser bier. Service was also good. What was not so good was the cleanliness of the place. I sat inside, and was bothered by a fly and a few crumbs on the table cloth. Still a great experience. Highly recommended!

we ordered one plate of their special schnitzel, which cost 10 euros. It was really tasty, just fried chicken but fancier. The restaurant had a cool traditional vibe, and we had to walk a bit from the entrance to find a table inside. One thing to note is that they only accepted cash.

10/10 schnitzel and fries. Was skeptical about the cranberry sauce, but even that was a very nice combo. Equal important, it was very decently priced compared to most Vienna restaurants serving schnitzel. Also, be careful if ordering the schnitzel only for yourself, as the plate in the picture shows one portion, which we split between 2 people as it was huge.

One of the best places to eat Schnitzel in Vienna district 7 they are serving since 40 years!! the portion per person is huge can feed you for lunch and dinner and it was delicious. We payed 39€ for x2 Schnitzel x2 Salad x2 French fries x2 Cola. On the other hand i had 2 cons First you have to pay only with cash. ATM is located 100m in case you want to withdraw money so it was not a big deal. Second is that there was no AC not even a fan which i believe is very essentials now days due to Global worming we were there for like 30m we could not stand the heat!!! i cant imagine the workers there how they can manage.

The best place in Vienna to eat Schnitzel! Best relation quality-price ever, we paid 8,8 for each Schnitzel fries apart and the ladies working there are super nice! Also the place gives you an Austrian atmosphere! We will come back ✨

The picture doesn't do the dish justice. The Allerlei is absolutely massive and each type of schnitzel is equally delicious. Insane value for money. A local Viennese friend brought me here and all I heard around me was Austrian German so I'd guess it doesn't get more local than this.

Good restaurant in Vienna. You can eat the traditional Wiener Schnitzel steak for 8 euros. It comes with a lemon. It's very good but it's nothing to write home about. Large portion. Good customer service. They don't let you pay by credit card.

We had a delicious schnitzel here! Very tasty. We didn’t realise you got two schnitzels when we ordered the wiener schnitzel so that was a lovely surprise! We also had the boiled potatoes which were nice. Wait wasn’t too long when we were there, maybe 15 minutes. Friendly staff, would definitely go again.

We were there at around 1230pm on a weekday lunch. The place was crowded but still have table for 2. We ordered their best sellers, wiener schnitzel and cordon blue. Both were nice but we like the cordon blue better. We also had the liver dumpling soup, which my wife liked the soup but she was not a fan for liver. The schnitzel was thin as it should be with a freash fried layer of bread crumbs. The cordon blue was much thicker with cheese and ham. And the service staff were very friendly. One of them saw us taking photo outside their shop n offered to help us take. I saw them serving familes with kids in their prams and they were cool with that.

We got seats right away and the waiter was very fast with taking our order. Had our food in 10 minutes. The atmosphere was very noisy so not that cosy if you prefer that. Me and my mom could easily share one portion of schnitzel and one bowl with fries. Recommend recommend!

We found this local Austrian restaurant in Vienna while strolling around the centre. The food was amazing. We tried both beef and chicken schnitzel which comes with tasty potato salad.

I have eaten in so many places schnitzel and I think this is unbeatable! Even if you order the wiener schnitzel without any Sause it is sooo tasty. Prepare yourself for huge portions! Really tasty! Also have in mind that no reservations can be made first come first served. Be patient and you will be seated. Friendly and quick service. Also have in mind to have cash with you! No credit cards are accepted. Whenever I come back to Vienna I will definetely come back here

This traditional restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way! The portions were enormous, ensuring I left completely satisfied. What surprised me most was the affordability without compromising on quality. The express service was a pleasant bonus, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant truly delivers a five-star experience with its delicious traditional dishes, generous portions, and wallet-friendly prices. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors

One order of Wiener Schnitzel has two pieces of Schnitzel. If you're hungry This is the best place to come. And also the most affordable. The meat is thin and tasty. Order also potato salad, amazing. Beware that they dont accept cards, ONLY cash. Service is really quick. In 10 minutes max you'll have your order in the table.

Perfect Schnitzel, one portion is enough for two people. Great potato and cucumber salad, comes with a lot of black pepper. French fries were average. We sat outside, the tables are very close to each other, but was not a problem. It was a hot day but was ok being outside. The service was not good, the waiter would shout in german and didn’t even tried to understand what we were saying. Payment only by cash.

Very good schnitzel and good prices. The schnitzel had a perfect texture and taste. I really likes the potatoes and the rice. The only downside is that you do not get any sauce. But maybe it is not custom here in Austria.

Perfect place to try Wiener schnitzel at a very reasonable price. Ours were €10 each. With 1 order of potatoes and 1 wine our total came to €26. The staff was really friendly. The food comes out really fast. You could definitely share the Wiener schnitzel but you can also take it home wrapped up.

  • 5/5 Ran Y. 11 months ago on Google
Absolutely amazing schnitzel, comes in huge two pieces. Crunchy on the out and very soft and moisture inside. Potato salad (a cold dish) is very surprising, goes great with the still remaining hot schnitzel. Better make a reservation or try your luck before closing time.

The most delicious meal. I got the Weiner schnitzel and potato salad. You get 2 large schnitzels and the potato salad was a big serving too. They were both very good and great value for price! Would highly recommend!

For me, it was the best schnitzel/ cordon bleu I have ever had, so I have been coming back there almost every day during my stay in Vienna. Good prices, huge portions, friendly staff but no air con inside, so I have always sat outside. Amazing!

  • 5/5 Joy W. 7 months ago on Google
Schnitzels were on point. Perfectly fried, great temperature when on the table (not scalding hot), sides were superb, portions were massive. Can’t get any better schnitzel than this. Note that it’s cash only.

A very popular Schitznel House. It has plenty of tables inside. We had Schnitzel and Goulash. Both tasted really good. Unfortunately, there is No Veal Schnitzel served here but Pork Schnitzel. Price is very affordable.

Simple homey place with excellent prices in a cosy atmosphere. Over a dozen schnitzels on the menu, all with one thing in common..all are HUGE! So try to share. The house white wine is excellent value. The interior is kind of like your eclectic aunties dining room complete with fake plants hanging from lights, but somehow it works.

I ordered children’s portion and It was super huge. Lunch cost 9 euros. Schnitzel was tasty and big enough for me. Very pleasant service. the gentleman who served us even said a few words in my language because he recognized. Lunch came in 5 minutes

If you don’t want to pay so much in Figlmüller, visit this place. Amazing, tasty and big schnitzel, good prices. They only take cash so have some prepared. If you are a group of 4 max you get a table in max 10-15 minutes, but we got one right away. They serve super fast. Highly recommend!

  • 4/5 Sabine R. 1 year ago on Google
Prices here are very appealing. If you’re a backpacker or traveller on a budget you can have a sit down meal here that you can afford. The service was a bit curt but the prices and portion sizes made up for it. You could definitely order one schnitzel meal and eat it between two people. My girlfriends and I each had one to ourselves and only ate half. The salads are great too. Just simple and good stuff but I got the garlic schnitzel and it was like jar mashed garlic just plopped on top which wasn’t super great but the other dishes my friends got were good so overall I’d recommend it. Pictured is the 3 piece garlic schnitzel and the feta and ham schnitzel with a side profile picture to show how thick it was 😂

If you look for a Schnitzel experience this is a great place! As they say 80% of their menu is this Austrian speciality. Delicious food and very fast and good service. We could only eat half of each portion. The rest we took away. Worth revisiting to try another kind of Schnitzel. There are at least 7 different ones. The prices starts at about 8,5 € for a very big serving of Vienna Schitzel.

Great food experience. Never thought can be so many schnitzel variation and all so tasty. Service at table can be a little bit improved, but definitely you are not waiting for your food to come. Challenging to find a parking place, but worth the effort.
