The
food
was
amazing,
but
the
service
was
one
of
the
most
horrifying
experience
I’ve
had.
As
a
tourist,
I
gave
the
waiter
the
benefit
of
the
doubt
that
maybe
language
is
the
reasoning
towards
his
behaviour.
However,
when
my
friend
asked
for
some
spread
on
his
pancake.
There
wasn’t
extra
spread,
but
there
was
jam
-
forgetting
it
would
might
be
extra
cost.
Thus,
we
wanted
to
confirm
this
and
called
the
waiter
back
just
to
clarify.
Before
I
even
asked
the
question,
the
waiter
stated
“you
need
to
wait
for
the
jam
to
come
from
the
kitchen.
I
just
punched
it
into
the
system
and
it
takes
time.”
I
was
shocked
on
how
he
assumed
we
were
rushing
on
our
order,
then
I
responded
with
“that
wasn’t
what
I
was
inquiring
about.
I
was
wondering
whether
the
jam
incurred
extra
cost.”
Then
he
looked
surprised
and
said
“of
course
it’s
extra
cost,
why
would
you
think
this
is
free?
It’s
on
the
menu,
it’s
1.80
euros.”
Then
I
responded
with
“sorry
I
just
wanted
to
confirm.”
Then
he
repeated
“I
don’t
know
why
you
would
think
it
would
be
free.”
I
was
quite
humiliated
as
everyone
in
the
restaurant
stared
at
me
as
he
was
quite
loud.
I
thought
this
interaction
was
over,
until
he
went
back
to
the
counter,
got
a
menu,
and
came
to
my
direction.
He
threw
the
menu
onto
our
table
and
pointed
at
“Jam
-
1.80
euros”
then
walked
away.
Needless
to
say,
I
sat
there
blank
because
I
didn’t
know
how
to
respond
the
treatment
I
received
as
a
customer.
