Good location and nice historical building (inside/outside). But nothing more. The stars are for the building itself. Considering a 4 star, we are greatly disappointed on the quality of the staff (reception and breakfast) and the quality of the room (signs of asthma, dust allergy, after a 4 nights stay). The chief/boss at the breakfast can handle stressful situation with lots of people. Very appreciated, and thanks to her we stayed for other breakfasts. And the breakfast has a "vegan" corner. But the rest of the staff was most often dissapointing. Either cold, unhelpful, or not attentive by walking around but not asking if you need a drink. Asking a cappucino with oat milk, we get a "pfff" expression (are you kidding me?!) from the staff one day, and a capuccino with normal milk the next day. No one show you to your table during Saturday morning high rush, such that you look around yourself in a crowded place, only to find that nothing was left at the buffet. These are a few examples to illustrate our negative experience with the expectetion of a 4 stars hotel experience. We booked on booking and were expecting a normal 2 people bed, maybe king size, with the traditional style. We had the traditional style. But we ended up with a two single beds, not connected/attached to each others, with very small blankets. The quality of the mattress was also questionnable. The bathroom has lots of moisture problems all around, giving a strange feeling for a 4 star room. The standard of the room felt like a 3 star. After our 4 nights, giving the key back, we only had a "thank you have a nice day". The minimum, no friendliness, and no question of how our stay was. If you read this far, we suggest to be very careful on booking there.

We recently stayed at this hotel and have a few observations to share. Firstly, the older staff members lacked warmth and weren't particularly welcoming to non-German speakers, both at the reception and in the restaurant. On the other hand, the younger staff members were more open and understanding. Breakfast was served in a small room that was nothing special. Unfortunately, it wasn't refilled, so after 9 am, it felt like we were eating leftovers. Luckily, we hadn't included breakfast in our booking. One aspect that bothered me was the undisclosed €30 deposit. The staff failed to clearly explain its purpose and didn't bother to discuss how certain amenities worked. This lack of transparency was disappointing. While I appreciated the vintage interior of the hotel, the cleanliness was questionable. The sheets didn't feel fresh, compared to other hotels. The pillows and sheets are of lower quality. Despite claiming to be a 4-star establishment, the service did not live up to that standard. Overall, the hotel is acceptable for short stays but not suitable if you plan to enjoy Vienna for a week. I would recommend finding a modern hotel in the city center instead to ensure you get your money's worth.

Nestled in the heart of Vienna, Hotel Regina is a historic establishment offering elegant accommodations and old-world charm. With its Art Nouveau architecture and refined interiors, the hotel exudes sophistication and character. Located near Vienna's iconic landmarks such as the Votive Church and the Vienna University, Hotel Regina provides a convenient base for exploring the city's cultural treasures.

On our way back home to US, we had a long layover in Vienna so we thought it would be great to take advantage of it and see the city. I looked for a hotel in the city center and this one popped up so I booked a room for one night. When we arrived, I asked the front desk if I could get a room with a view and told them, I was ready to pay extra if that's what it takes. I was told there were no rooms with a view but the room I booked was a great room because it was a superior room. Well, their superior room turned to be not so superior. Small and outdated for a "superior" room. It did had a mini bar and a coffee machine but you had to pay extra even for coffee! I thought it was ridiculous so I called front desk to double check and sure enough, it was 2 euros extra for one coffee! Really? We stayed at hotels before in different countries but this was the 1st time we had to pay extra for coffee and tea! My advice, charge a little extra for the room if you have to but include your mini bar and coffee/tea in that price. The only thing I liked about this hotel was the location **Had to comeback to add to your reply. For your info, most of hotel this days use capsules coffee machines and most of the people have one at home too. I know how much capsule coffee cost (about 50 cents each or less). You're a hotel not a coffee shop! Charge for rooms not for coffee.

The hotel is well located close to the ring. An old style hotel that needs some renovation, decorated with old red faded carpets and dark old style furniture. The bath is new and clean but rather small. Please Note: I took a single room, which was very small, (8.5 sqm ) and on top of all, had a single 80cm wide bed. Well, I didn’t see that coming. The overall is ok, but I wouldn’t want to repeat the experience.

Stayed here during my very first visit to Vienna. Beautiful decor. Would be better if the staff made it explicit that you have the option between a very nice view from your room, and a banal view (to a wall), and let you somehow choose rather than constantly try and deceive you.

The hotel is located very centrally , near the metro station. The historical building looks very nice from the outside but is very shabby inside. The room we got first didn’t have any window to outside only one to the air shaft. I insisted that we couldn’t stay in such a room. After two denials we went down to the reception desk and received finally another room. The room itself was small, the toilet and bath separated and unbelievably small. The room service is also very shabby, they didn’t clean well. Only the Silvester dinner was nice, the service at the restaurant perfect I wouldn’t book this hotel a second time, it is not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We loved the historical vibe of the building and the rooms a lot. Very kind room service, they even gave us a cute little shampoo kit for our baby. Breakfast was also fine.

the Regina hotel is a beautiful historic building restored not many years ago located near the beautiful Votivkirche. its location is central and it is possible to visit the city on foot. the large underground car park and the nearby public transport stop make it very accessible. the building maintains its historical and sumptuous characteristics on the outside as well as inside. the service is excellent and the staff is always available. the room I stayed in was clean and tidy with a really nice view of the city. the breakfast was rich and plentiful. the restaurant combines tradition with innovation in its refined dishes. truly a great experience!

I stayed 2 nights in Hotel Regina last week and here are some informations: - The building is splendid on the outside (a bit outdated on the inside) - The location is fantastic (near everything). - My room had a bathroom where I could barely fit inside, the beds were small and uncomfortable and the interior was so outdated that I felt like I went to my grandma's house. - The breakfast is not good and the it was crowed. The room where the buffet is and the room where you can sit, are too small. - No vanity kit (i forgot my tooth brush) which is unacceptable for 4 stars hotel. - No redbull at the bar (which is a big minus for me :-))

The staff are caring, personable and helpful. The room is OK. The bathroom is small and my shower gel was empty on arrival. It took three days for them to fill it up, but I blame that on poor communication - it happens. The food is very good as is the decor. The bedroom is spacious and has lots of cupboard space. The bed was hard, but not uncomfortable at all. My double room was comprised of two singles pushed together, but the duvet was only large enough to cover one of the singles. The location is top notch, very close to public transport which will take you all over the city.

We stayed With friends here for 2 days, the service is very good. This included the breakfast buffet depending on your room. Package is well worth doing lots of different foods and very good tasting. The view from our room was awesome. We could look right down the street for the street. Cars very convenient and close to the underground and trams. Beautiful hotel inside... no parking on site recommended use transit in vienna

Cozy hotel. Both breakfast and food is delicious in the hotel restaurant. Friendly staff. Located right next to the Votivkirche church! Only downside was our room was extremely hot although it wasn't warm outside and the AC didn't seem to work properly.

Stayed with a family. They had a crib for my smaller child. The service was friendly. It's an older place and had a bit of a smell when we entered (which I got used to almost immediately). I think it is reasonable value but there were 2 things which were occasionally annoying: the AC was not very powerful in one of our rooms (the other one was good, perhaps too powerful) and the Internet gets pretty slow during peak usage times.

The location is beautiful. You can either be lucky and have a great view from the room or terribly unlucky and have a window facing a wall. Breakfast is good, but you could have bigger variety of cut fruits. Just Some watermellon not looking particularly good and a salad of mainly apples was not impressive. Staff very helpful.

The room had a city view, and it was clean and wide enough. There are no disposable slippers in the rooms, you'd better take it with you. Its location was very central and walking distance to many of the museums and restaurants. The breakfast was satisfying, especially the cheese and sausages were delicious.

A very nice hotel to stay. Location was fantastic. I booked the Vienna sightseeing hop-on /hop-off bus and it was located on all the lines except the yellow so I could make use of it including going to Landstrabe to take airport(CAT) train. Very close to shops and restaurants. 15 min walk to Stephenplatz which is the centre. Loved the traditional look and feel and a very good breakfast buffet for 25 euro

Regina Hotel with beautiful architecture and charming atmosphere. Friendly and polite staff, good service and delightful breakfasts. Right in front of the hotel is the beautiful Votive Church. In general, you will not bother to see the sights of the city because the location of the hotel is very good. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel very much. 👌🏻

Amazing view from the room, however quite small room and the coffe machine in the room is the worst coffee machine i have ever tried. For this price they could be less cheap and buy a decent one

Staff were excellent and more than accommodating. Location is excellent with restaurants and coffee houses nearby. Close enough to walk into the heart of Vienna and removed enough to avoid tourists.

We stayed 3 nights in Hotel Regina over new year. The hotel is classed as 4 star but I would describe it at best as a 2-3 star. We paid approx 760 euros for 3 nights and I would have certainly given the hotel a higher ranking if it wasn’t that expensive. Pros: - attractive building - convenient city Center Location - I asked for a coffee and the friendly staff brought me a nice tasting cappuccino Cons: - dark rooms - outdated 1920’s interior - small uncomfortable beds - very low quality breakfast buffet. The food offered was of very cheap bad quality. The orange juice wasn’t fresh but rather sweetened tetra pack juice. The fruit tasted like it was canned - the conditions at the breakfast buffet were unhygienic - most of the hot food offering was cold and the eggs were so undercooked they were almost raw - hotel was overcrowded - there was anarchy at the breakfast buffet as people were fighting for places and food

The hotel should be a 3 star hotel compared to other hotels in the city. The location is very convenient for people on a budget. When I arrived at the hotel there was an argument happening between one of the staff and the guest. It wasn't the staff's fault at all, it was the guest. However, the staff lost their temper and cursed. I understand that they are also human beings and sometimes they have to deal with difficult guests. However, I think management should train staff on how to handle these situations. I booked a single room at the hotel for 5 nights. I expected it to be small. However, the room was very cramped and there was no fresh air so I had to open the window to get fresh air. This resulted in so much noise. I checked out after 2 days and moved to a high-quality hotel. I personally wouldn't book this hotel again nor recommend it to anyone.

From the outside this hotel looks impressively grand. On the inside the lobby, dining room and reception rooms also had an impressive if faded grandeur. The bedrooms though need a little restoration to match the public areas. I think we were lucky to be given a 4th floor room overlooking the church and park. The evening view from the window of the sunset over the church spires was sufficient to justify the cost. I have given this review 4 stars though it could easily have been 3. A few things grated like the double bed being 2 singles zipped together, even having separate duvets. The coffee machine had only 2 pods. But the room was large and so was the bathroom. The large dining room when busy created a confused queue in the small buffet room. The breakfast was ordinary considering the Austrians are famed for their coffee and pastries. Twice I had to get my own coffee pot as table service was slow. That said, the location the view and the architecture overcame any reservations. We found taking an Uber from the airport at €35 was about the same price as 2 CAT train tickets to the main station and then Metro to the hotel and an awful lot easier and quicker if you have luggage.

I was order a Deluxe room for double with big bed for two and great view but it was a 2 beds moved together with out view. For the price what I pay its not acceptable. Also the baththub was small for 1 person only but its should be bigger beacuse its Deluxe for two. The room looks like usual room it was not Deluxe as on pictures in Booking, I was deceived. Also its must be a 4 star Hotel but its not. They just paint the stars ander the door. Rooms are not compileble with stars rating. No halats, no cosmetic, tea and coffe cost additional 2 euro and its from capsule machine. I am not sure if its even can be a 2 star.

Stopped here to pick up tickets to the Scotland v Austria football game ... had a beverage and the food others had looked stunning . Expensive but worth it situated right next to a beautiful cathedral and busy shopping area of Vienna. Lovely

Perfect location and close to everything. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Overall, a terrific stay!

Might be bad luck, but the room at the top floor was not worth the price, even though I have the feeling we didn't pay cheap. Apart from this it's a classic hotel, with a great breakfast buffet. Location is top notch.

Not the best place in the area or price. It's nicely located but better options nearby. The room they gave us was small and somewhat dark due to minimal day light exposure. The air conditioning unit leaked water all night and the bathroom light wouldn't turn on during the night, alao had some issues with the shower. They did change us to a much better room for the second night which did make up a bit for the first night but overall I felt it was overpriced. The rate did include a nice small breakfast buffet so that's a positive aspect. I do like the location of this hotel and the staff was helpful but next time I would shop around a bit more before choosing this hotel again.

It has been a stay of two minds. The 24h reception and the staff are absolutely delightful, the rooms are incredibly clean and the breakfast in the morning is a delight. The location of the hotel is also stunning. But all guests in our party were a bit less impressed with the beds. They're hard and uncomfortable and it had impacted our time in Vienna. One of the guests even chose the couch in the room over the bed to sleep in at night. For the price you pay for the rooms, this really could use an upgrade. We were very happy with the rest though.
