Four stars for the four star hotel. The spot is really nice just by the river. You can have endless walks or runs on the riverside road and it is really nice to do so. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is really good with plenty of choices and the bar is open most of the day, really nice too. The building and the spot are really great in general. The metro station is a five to ten minutes walk. The one and biggest problem of the hotel is staff's friendless. Half of the reception staff was great, half were not even looking at you when you entered or went out of the hotel. The cleaning ladies were impolite to rude. Not all of them but most of them. I asked for a second roll of toilet paper and she came in my bathroom in order to check if there was only one as I was saying. Even if there were two, why not give an extra one? They never smiled once, never greeted once and they kinda had an unfriendly vibe. I visit hotels for over 30 years, it was the first time in my life that I didn't tip the cleaning staff and even if I am uncomfortable with this, I dont regret it. The manager of the hotel has a lot of work to do, regarding the hospitality of the staff. Mr manager, you host people, not robots.

The best hotel experience in my life! Very nice spacious rooms with sofa and desk, good large beds and a very nice view. The bathroom was also very good and has everything you could possibly need. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room was very clean when we got in the first day and they cleaned it again twice. We stayed there for 4 nights and the price we paid is very low in comparison to other hotels. We also ordered 2 clubsandwich wraps with fries which were very good but overpriced and the fries were cold. The TV isn't the newest model but works just fine. Breakfast was great. They basically have everything. Coffee, juice, pancakes, croissants, corn flakes, bacon, eggs, fruits, different breads, honey, tea etc. and they change it up sometimes. It's a 15 minute ride from the hotel to the centre by car. The parking is 22€ / night. Overall I recommend this hotel and would visit again.

Had a one night stay here. Vienna is not a small city and maybe this hotel is not in the centre, but it has its own lovely perks. It is quite and the rooms can have a nice view on the Danube river. It has all the services that a nice Hilton has, wellness centre and executive lounge. From these you can have a nice view and have a nice rest. The staff was very nice and also helpful. Enjoyed our stay and I so believe the pictures speak for them self.

Set away from the city center along the Danube, the Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront was a good hotel to stay at for one night before flying back to Washington, D.C. Here's why. 1) Location: We prefer to stay more in the center, but we've done that in Vienna. This trip was short and we had an early flight so the location was great- not too far from the center or airport. 2) Rooms: Being a Diamond Member, our room was on the sixth floor with the executive rooms. Our came with a river view and lots of room. 3) Amenities: Sadly, the outdoor pool and the executive lounge were under renovation, but they set up a little replacement lounge in the restaurant with light snacks and drinks.

Staff was incredibly helpful. This was my first time in Vienna, and the staff was an amazing resource for information about this beautiful city. The location was ideal for convenience. Getting there by car was not difficult; using public transportation from there was very easy. The hotel restaurant is not that great, but I can overlook that.

Very poor customer service in a whole. Very expressive hotel but not even a bottle of water in a room to welcome you with. It's might be different for you but for me and my family, it's will never be one of a choice the next time we return to Vienna. A tiny bottle of water cost almost 9 Euros ( not even at the airport will you pay such a price) Parking is 24 euros. No breakfast. Poor wifi connection. One tall room service man will walk around and question you like he's a security man. Instead of him offering to help us locate a room, he questioned us "why have you been moving around here". ( That was his first approach). Well, Sir it's my first time here and I am trying to locate my room number. Last option to choose--this hotel. The location is great but it's not the only hotel at such location. We later found out after we've checked in and were driving around the area. Need better service for you money, then not this option

I stayed here for two nights (after a different Vienna hotel stay) and they have (centralized!) A/C! The room was relatively large too. In addition, nice view and sittings in front of Danube. Breakfast was good and extensive enough. Nice walk to metro station.

Room was spacious. Pool was nice but the water was always cold even if outside temperature was about 26 degrees.Staff can be a bit more friendly. Bar was understaffed and took them forever to bring a drink. Bar food was average. Beer is a good deal.Good spread of breakfast buffet.

Overall, good. Reception wasn’t welcoming enough. Nice new rooms with little nuances such as low water pressure shower, lack of light in bathroom, no toiletries in rooms nor bathrobes. No smart TV. Why did you disable youtube and other apps? Air conditioning didn’t work properly. It was quite hot in our room. No shower gel all the days. Average snacks selection in Executive lounge. Breakfast was good but overcrowded. Guest service was absolutely useless. Called them twice for bathrobes, no reaction just promises. Very close U Bahn. Nice Danube views and quiet.

I travelled for work and spent one night on the 7th floor. The rooms was large and clean. But I expected it being Hilton and expensive to have the minimum in the room but no coffee/tea, empty minibar, no bath accessories, pillows are impossibly soft. There is a shop where you can buy snacks downstairs, but who wants to do that and isnt this a Hilton? Details go a long way in hotels and this one is lacking. The view from the restaurant and terrace is beautiful. Overall very basic hotel which is fine for one night work trip.

It's not downtown, but it is conveniently located near public transportation, a mall, and the Danube River. It is well equipped, with a waterfront bar and a nice lounge and gift shop. Very modern appliances in the rooms. We're very pleased.

Being located in the proximity of Danube, great service and easy accommodation, with a consistent set of amenities. Rooms are quiet and big, with a decent breakfast. I do recommend! P.S. using the ‘Hilton Honors’ you have the possibility to collect points and benefit out of their offers portfolio.

Giving 1 star as I cannot give 0. The room was very nice and the location is what it is, but all the rest.... I mean my fiancee literally found glass in his apple strudel... When notified the server offered to swap the dessert to a different kind. Given we refused he offered us our two desserts but when we asked for some proof in case there was a medical issue after, he simply refused, took the plates away and wished us good bye.... The check in was also a disaster. The lady was polite but could not have given less information. Real handy when you come for the first time. Finally, out of the 3 meals we had, an item was forgotten every time. I've known of Hilton's before as a standard however this one falls well and truly below the Hilton standard. I would recommend staying elsewhere if possible.

Service is nice and cleaning is good. But the building and renovation is at most early 2000. The wind literally makes noise through the window. The bathroom is at hostel standard. Furniture is something you could find in a mountain cabin and right below our window the train was passing. The ustensile at the breakfast was at cafeteria usage, although the food is really good. Breakfast is really nice! The name is Hilton, but not the quality of the building. Had a double room at 180euro/night Parking is 21euros/night.

This hotel is located in a very beautiful and cozy location. But is far from city center! And it will cause your trip by the complicated Vienna's public service! :( Very nice and helpful staffs. Near the train/subway station and shopping center. But this hotel has a big problem: it is not isolated and you hear any noises from the corridor or your neighbors! So, I couldn't sleep att all in this hotel!!!!!

First time at the Vienna Danube Waterfront. Enjoyed our stay a lot. Large rooms with a wonderful view (waterfront). Doors are unfortunately not soundproof, and the hotel was quite full with a lot of families. Nice but small wellness area with a sauna and whirlpool - a booking system would have been nice. Good but rather crowded breakfast. Executive lounge had fantastic food and drinks, although it was also taken over by noisy children on some days. Absolutely wonderful staff throughout but especially in the lounge. We liked the location at the river and took the underground into the city - the Stadion stop is less than ten minutes on foot from the hotel. All in all recommended, especially outside the holiday season, and often available at an unbeatable price.

Love the view of the river from the hotel room and was spacious enough to have my personal space and also had a little workstation setup to get my work done. Breakfast had a great blend of what we look for. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Would come back some day for sure (if not for anything, at least for the views you offer) ! It is worth a shot as it gives you the calm you need. The staff were courteous and helped with my queries on time. Definitely a little inconvenient if you would want to walk around as the city center or even the good restautants/cafes (as per ratings) are a couple kilometers away.

Nice hotel for a family weekend. Great view on the River and passing ships (kids love it). Nice pool and resto. Facilities include also fitness and sauna. Parking suitable if you have a van or a roof box. Facilities and staff 99/100: missed a cup in the bathroom. 2 bulbs in the room are out - non essential. Otherwise everybody helpful and friendly.

Tasty Bar Snacks good friendly service, lots of space in the rooms , they are going through an upgrade at the moment. POOL looks good ,( did not have time to go in.) International clientele, so wide breakfast buffet. Comfortable bed , Proper Hangers, Air con you can turn off and open a window for some fresh air. Only one down Never keen on those Glass /ceramic Table tops prefer less noisey wood.

Usually I would give 4 stars because the hotel is already a bit outdated but the service was really good - every single staff member I talked to was really nice and the rooms were really clean. Despite the hotel being older they are taking good care of it. The executive lounge was really crowded - but thats not the hotels fault… also got my traditional club sandwich - was a bit drier but Hilton average I would say.

Good hotel, but especially compared to other Hilton experiences, it's a mixed bag. Service is top and rooms are big. Most memorable downsides were the bathroom with a super low water pressure shower at the end of a narrow visibly old bathtub and no water in the gym.

  • 2/5 Dave V. 1 year ago on Google
What's in a name? Why does some hotels think we still need bathtubs to have a shower only? The pillows are dramatic, always a buzzing sound from somewhere when in bed. Room was too hot ( in winter time). Lowering the temp or shutdown heating complete didn't work. Had to open the window for cooling the room.

Not the best service i have received at a Hilton... the room was dirty, the bar made us wait half an hour before taking our order... all in all, the hotel messed with my mood during my trip to Vienna, even though I chose Hilton for my personal trip because i am used to good service on my business trips.

Great service and friendly staff. Rooms are fine, clean, newer, pretty basic otherwise. Definitely fit our purposes. Great breakfast service and nice little pool. 1km from nearest U stop and about 15 minutes from center in Inerestadt once there. Surprised in this day and age to have a TV that's not set up for streaming services. We ran into a few issues and they were always addressed promptly.

Love this hotel. My “go to” when in Vienna. Well Located with excellent services, view, breakfast, pool, parking staff and more! Great size rooms for families and excellent bedding and toiletries provided for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend it!

Felt more like the travel lodge than a Hilton. The check in was friendly and staff were nice but the hotel is tired. The “executive “ lounge that should be relaxed and quiet - it is temporarily on the ground floor full of families and children screaming. The bed was very firm and the pillows were very soft, ultimately becoming a pillow case.

We had a fulfilling staying in Vienna. The Hotel is right on the Danube bank, not that far from the center on the city. The closer metro stop is Stadium, half km walking. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the gym (little but clean), the huge international breakfast, the lounge bar.

  • 4/5 Lucas W. 9 months ago on Google
I stopped at the hotel during an event at the stadium just down the road, that being said it was very expensive for a night at €320 euros including parking and breakfast. The rooms feel a little dated but renovations are taking place, so the potential for this to be an excellent choice of hotel is there. The door to the room has an inch gap, so you can hear everything going on in the hallway, which woke me up several times in the night. I was very grateful of the air-conditioning as I visited during a hot spell in Europe. The service at the front desk was excellent as expected and the location is nice, having the danube next to you but I did need to get an uber to travel into the centre of Vienna

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was great and large enough for 3 people. The location on the side of the Danube is great. It's also close to a metro/bus stop but also a small supermarket in case you need anything else. The breakfast was really impressive and of good quality. One of the better Hilton breakfasts. One thing I would change is the plates that are just way too small, we can understand they are trying to save some money but they are just ridiculously small in my opinion. The view across the Danube is not exactly the most pleasant but not much the hotel management can do about it. A bottle of water in the reception costed 4.5 euros which is not exactly cheap but it was the only option on a Sunday night. Overall, a great experience and will definitely consider for any future stays in Vienna.

We spent a couple of nights at the Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront and we had a pleasant experience. We were updated to a junior suite (I believe) without even asking which was nice. The room was large and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is excellent, as one would expect from Hilton. The staff is professional and friendly, ready to help with questions and requests, The location is not ideal for sightseeing, but there is a U metro line nearby that takes you to the city center in about 20 minutes. We got the 48 hrs. Vienna ticket which allowed us to take advantage of the awesome public transportation Vienna has to offer. I would definitely like to return to this hotel again

  • 5/5 Daniel C. 7 months ago on Google
Thank you Hilton Vienna for making our stay wonderful. The team went significantly above and beyond during a difficult time, and reminded me why I stay with Hilton as a brand. As well as the team and the location, I really enjoyed the breakfast here, which was better than other Hilton's I've stayed at, and being able to have it sat next to the Danube was lovely. 5 mins walk to get to local transport, which will basically take you anywhere you need to go in around 15 minutes. Thank you again team.

Our family's stay at Hilton Danube Waterfront Vienna has been the most enjoyable. We stayed there for five nights and would definitely stay again when back in Vienna! We loved the breakfast which included a great variety of food, and great service, as well as access to the executive lounge. As our flight was very early in the morning, upon our request, the hotel had packed nice breakfast for us! The only thing I'd recommend (especially since the hotel seemed to be undergoing refurbishment) is to have bigger wardrobes as we could barely fit all of our clothes. Also, there was fluctuating water temperature in the shower which proved difficult especially for our children.

Lovely place to stay would recommend. The only unfortunate thing is the corridor smelled of paint. There are some refurbishment going on. Breakfast really great.

We stayed last week of this October and rooms are too big..but showers are disappointing as it is too small. Breakfast was good but everyday it’s same menu..we felt bored as we stayed for 7 days. Breakfast area was always crowded..Staffs in the front desk and restaurant were friendly..if we order food room service, they don’t pick the calls at all.. every night we struggled to get connected to room service. Also they charge 6euro for tray which was disappointing. And the trays were even not removed from the door even after 2 days..our room was 360 which was the last corner and no good view. No restaurants are nearby and the stadium mall which is 10 minutes walk has some shops and restaurants but they close early. The only good thing was the huge room..

Very nice hotel right on the Danube river. The rooms are well decorated. The linens were soft and the beds were comfortable. They provided toiletries that smelled great. The only issue I had was the room was hot. Even turning down the thermostat to the lowest thermostat setting did not cool down the room. The price of the room included the breakfast which had so many options from the buffet to keep one well fed until lunch. One benefit is that the breakfast starts at 6 am and ends at 10 am so it allows for sleeping in a bit.

The room is fine, but not as luxury as it should be for a 4 stars hotel. Also there is a issue with the heating during winter, only cole air coming from the vents. I stayed for three days without hand soap (nobody filled it - it was empty since I arrived)

  • 5/5 YOUNG S. 4 months ago on Google
We stayed 4 nights at Hilton Vienna Waterfront during Thanksgiving holidays from the USA. It is right on Danube River and you can see the river cruses passing by from room # 306. Excellent location and pretty close (7Minutes walk) to the metro station line 2 (purple) Stadion (Stadium). It was clean, comfortable and great English speaking front desk.

This was just a brief overnight stay as we tried to remain close to the Schwechat airport. We ended up in a room with a very nice view of the river, however the AC was not working. The staff was able to give us a different room, so we were thankful. The area was ok - there was an abandoned park a walking distance from the hotel with homeless congregating.

I'm a Hilton girl most of the time. My kids and I came here and loved everything about the room. Very spacious. Hotel was beautiful. The only drawback... the soap dispenser was broken in the shower. I called and asked to get it fixed. Nothing happened. I went downstairs and asked to get it fixed. Nothing happened. I ended up borrowing soap from a friend that he brought from home. Aside from that, there were no issues.

Very disappointed. Not a real Hilton - Hot water shower isn't working and the water is really weak during the first night we stayed. Made a complaint at the reception and they sent someone to confirm the issue. I was given two option: to change my room or wait for a technician at 8.30am the next day, but they cannot guarantee if the other room will have a similar issue. Is this acceptable to a paying customer? - The room is very hot without ventilation. Was told aircon is not working. - We decided to change the room. The second room also have similar issue with the water pressure, but is slightly better. - Despite all these, there wasnt even an apology mentioned for the inconvenience. I felt like I was given a "just deal with it and take it or leave it" attitude from the staff. - Only good is breakfast. - smart tv had no youtube or netflix app. Is basically a smart tv with all features locked or removed. Many other reviewers shared similar complaints on the room ventilation, weak water pressure and temperature. It seems like such complaints had been ignored or taken lightly by the staff or team as there seems to be no improvement. All these issues are still there despite they claimed the rooms renovation was recently completed. To be honest, the poor customer services didn't help to make the stay more comfortable at all, despite the inconvenience faced. The service desk should be more educated on advising the options for guests to reach vienna airport. There do not seem to know which u Line or VAL bus stops to take to reach vienna airport and simply asked to take a taxi.

Great location by the Danube river, amazing views, especially in the morning dawn. Friendly and helpful reception people. Easy connection to the center of the city, metro station in very close walking distance. We were not really excited by the very expensive breakfast or with housekeeping. If these would improve, it would be five stars for me for sure. The hotel is great and I would definitely suggest it.

The price-vs-value is great. The location is fantastic if you're interested in a marvelous view of the Danube and it's only a 10 minute metro ride away from the city center. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This Hilton feels like a Hilton, but its location is away from most everything. It is on the Danube, but that was not readily viewed. The service was passable, and the staff not particularly helpful. The carpets were worn and the carpet in our room was not particularly clean. The beds were comfortable, but we had to open the window wide to control the temperature in the room. All in all any other hotel more centrally located in Vienna would have been better.

Not the newest Hilton but still very good. Clean, big rooms, good wifi, big bathroom. Staff is nice and helpful. Parking right at the Hotel. Only one thing is that my mattress was crazy hard, not really Hilton like.. Location really good at the bank of the Danube. 👍

Truly top notch Hilton facility. The staff are professional and friendly. The breakfast was phenomenal. DIY fresh pressed juices was a nice surprise (ginger, orange, grapefruit, apples, carrots, celery!). The Diamond Member benefits also shine here. The lounge happy hour truly satisfied us for dinner.

Wonderful hotel, very clean and superb rooms and breakfast. The hotel is situated on the lovely Danube, however that meant that we had to take 2 metros every time to and from the city centre. However they are very efficient so we didn't mind it much. Very pleasant stay.

One of the best hotels that I have stayed at.. The hotel staff is really welcoming making sure that the stay is pleasant. My wife and I were here for our anniversary and the staff made sure that they make it memorable. If you are looking for a getaway from your day to day hectic routine and need to spend some peaceful time, this is the place to be. The hotel is placed at at Danube Riverside providing the most scenic views at different hours of the day. Special thanks to Stefan and Manpreet at the front desk for really making it a pleasant experience..

Excellent hotel, with generously proportioned rooms. Right on the Danube, and 500m from the main underground lines. We only ate at the hotel once, and the food was excellent although the service was slow. (Friendly, but slow.) That said, Covid-safe, great check-in and check-out experience, with smiling, happy staff. We will certainly stay there again.

Hilton Vienna Danube Waterfront is located on the riverside about half an hour from the airport, VIE, and 20 minutes from the city centre. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Metro station and restaurants and shopping. The hotel has a nice outdoor pool with great views over the river and riverview restaurant. The top floor has a executive lounge with complimentary food and drinks between 18-20 in the evening. The fitness center, spa and whirlpool is located on the 7th floor. The rooms are nice and big with sofas and working spaces and great river views. A great place to explore Vienna from!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May 2022. Our room had a river view, all the usual amenities (tea, coffee, etc.) and air-conditioning. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke fluent English. In particular the concierge staff offered help and advice on many occasions making our stay even more comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as somewhere to stay.

Good place to stay by the Danube. The hotel restaurant has river views which adds to the tranquil breakfast ambiance. The breakfast offering was good and I went with the Wiener Plate with the different senf (mustard) to get a little bit of that Austrian experience. The service was accommodating especially for me who checked in late. I even got a nice welcome gift as a diamond member.

Great hotel with excellent ammenities and a pool. We really enjoyed our final days in Vienna staying at this hotel and its a little out of the way which is nice because you can relax here without being in the center of the city. The executive lounge was good with a nice selection of drinks and food.

Wonderful place. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They are kind and patient. We took 2 rooms, and in both I can testify that they were clean, well thought of and in a good location. Will definitely come back when we can.

So, this is such a complex hotel to review. - rooms are spacious, which is great - however, service can be slow, Pool area is outdoors and open to lots of the public (coming to the restaurant etc., so not great for privacy) Jacuzzi is on a different floor and super tiny.. sadly Farr away from many other restaurants Not as central as publicized. So if you're simply looking for a beautiful and quiet place to spend a few days, this would work great. But if you want more and want to enjoy amenities as a guest with privacy, you may want to look elsewhere. Same, if you desire to be in the center of town.

I found this hotel to be great for my stay in Vienna. It’s on the river, which is beautiful. I also walked home from work & went running along the River. There are several restaurants & small grocery stores close. Vienna is a really safe city. I would note it’s important to have cash on you as it didn’t seem as credit card friendly as some of the other European cities. The gym was great too!

Fantastic hotel, stayed here for 4 nights had a river view room. Room was spotless with a fantastic view of the river, Breakfast was included as a Hilton gold member and was fantastic as was the food we got in the bar. There's a subway station within a 10 minute walk so ideal for heading into the city centre. Staff were really helpful and check in was speedy, Highly recommend

Everything is good except the reservation team's lack of knowledge and willingness to help about any child-age issues. The beds are old and uncomfortable, not suitable for the Hilton hotel.

Nice hotel And staff! Good breakfast. Clean rooms with view to Danube river. Parking for 24€ per day, additional cost for pets 40€ per stay. Nearby subway 🚇 5min by walk and 12min to the city center.

Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. The hotel is in a very nice location next to the Danube. The rooms were a bit dated, but the cleanliness of the room made up for it. We dined at the waterfront restaurant and were very satisfied with the quality of the food and service. Would highly recommend this hotel to those who intend to visit Vienna.
