The
staff
was
generally
very
nice
and
obliging.
I
got
a
small
single
room,
and
I
appreciated
that
it
was
full
of
small,
thoughtful
touches:
a
spray
of
lavender
oil;
a
moveable
bedside
stand;
a
dedicated
reading
lamp;
a
small
pamphlet
explaining
that
the
area
was
undergoing
construction
works
which
might
extend
into
night
and
weekends.
Amenities
included
easy
to
control
air
conditioning,
desk
and
chair,
a
small
sofa,
a
good
number
of
good-quality,
non-fiddly
wooden
hangers,
a
safe,
slippers,
bath
robe,
hair
dryer,
the
usual
selection
of
toiletries,
comb,
shower
cap,
and
cotton
pads.
The
only
thing
I
missed
in
the
room
was
a
small
kettle
to
make
a
cup
of
tea.
It
was
also
not
quite
soundproof,
and
every
half
hour
or
so,
the
air
con
(at
least
I
think
it
was
the
air
con)
would
buzz
loudly
and
oddly,
even
when
turned
off.
Another
less
positive
feature
about
the
room
is
that
the
shower
water
took
ages
to
warm
up.
Breakfast
was,
sadly,
a
disappointing
affair.
Not
a
whole
lot
of
anything,
poor
selection
of
pastries
and
fruit
(I
went
for
one
of
the
apples
one
morning
-
it
was
soft
and
wrinkly
and
starting
to
get
mould
around
the
top),
and
the
coffee
dispensed
by
the
automatic
machine
was
not
great,
but
the
worst
part
is
that
the
entire
breakfast
area
was
overrun
by
fruit
flies.
I
know
this
can
be
hard
to
control,
but
I
also
did
not
see
much
attempt.
I
sincerely
applaud
the
extended
breakfast
hours
(6h30
to
11h
on
weekends
and
to
10h
on
weekdays),
but
at
7h30
on
a
Sunday,
all
the
pastries
were
dead
cold,
which
makes
me
think
they
were
baked
the
day
before.
A
small
redeeming
observation:
you
could
ask
the
staff
for
eggs
cooked-to-order,
but
generally
speaking,
breakfast
was
the
most
disappointing
I've
seen
in
a
4-star
hotel
in
a
while.
Great
location,
literally
on
the
doorstep
of
St
Peter's
Church
and
less
than
5
minutes'
walk
from
St
Stephen's
cathedral
and
Stephansplatz's
underground
station.
