Nice location. Definitely not a 5 stars. The hotel is needing a good upgrade as it is old looking. Staff not the friendliest. Breakfast buffet was just average, not enough space for all the customers. We will go back though and give them another chance.

It might have been a 5 star hotel but 10+ years ago. Everything is clean and nice but when you walk into the bathroom you just know it's old. It just doesn't look good anymore. At least bathrooms should have been refreshed every couple years. Breakfast was just OK, too bad it was the same food everyday.

We got a pretty bad room firstly, it was narrow and the windows were facing a huge white wall. A pretty depressing room. Then we changed to a room facing the street, it was a great room, though it might be noisy for many people. Generally a nice place to stay, the people at front desk were all very friendly and helpful. Something I dislike here is the breakfast: it’s honestly not so delicious.... the scrambled eggs are too fake (I know they are made with powders and this and that, but other hotels can make it at least delicious), the croissants are not crispy. At the end we just skipped the breakfast in the hotel and rather go for something outside... Good when the breakfast is included in the room price, we wouldn’t pay 26€ for it.

It hurts to see a legend die in full public view...

An old style hotel with plenty of character and lots of chandeliers. Reception staff helpful and efficient. Room was clean and tidy. Lovely beds. Bathroom had a great walk in shower with lashings of hot water. Loved the blue curtains. Had breakfast included which was tasty and lots of choice. Great central location for exploring the city sights and only 5 minutes walk to the main Christmas market which is well worth a visit.

This is not a 5 star hotel, but rather a 3 star. The location and building are fantastic. You get to stay in a nice imperial looking building in a quiet area close to all the monuments. The bed was not made (just a duvet folded on top of a fitted sheet - which meant we had to actually made the bed at night), which is something I would expect at a 5 star hotel. Also, details such as toiletries and towels are expected to be nicer when the hotel has that rating. Breakfast was nice, but missing fresh fruit and not just fruit salad. The service was average. The servers kept rushing taking plates and cutlery out of the table even if not finished, and when taking cutlery they wouldn't replace it automatically even if there are more plates on the table. Also, the breakfast room was disappointing. Being such a nice building you would expect that room to match, but it was just a plain white room with blue chairs (some of them with stains) and a decoration of paintings for sale that were clearly not part of the hotel theme. Again, good location and stay but not worth the 5 star rating.

Not the best hotel experience I've had. Hotel seems very fancy on both interior and exterior. Rooms are clean and location is great. Breakfast was also very good and enjoyable. However, there were several problems that made the stay less joyful. First of all there is literally no Wi-Fi, you can get connection only in some places of the room and even there it is very slow. Then, shower was very narrow and it was very hard to have a shower without spilling water everywhere, plus the water was running very slowly. Lastly, most of the staff didn't understand or spoke any English, at all. Considering everything I'd give a 3 star review to this hotel.

Very good hotel. Close to the city center and well organized. Staff available and polite every time. The room was large and clean. Good the possibility to use the fitness room at the penthouse. Marvelous the breakfast, location and food, you should try it.

Very nice hotel. The draw for me , is how centrally located this hotel is. The metro , trams, and buses are just steps away from the hotel entrance. Very good breakfast buffet and good coffee. The rooms are spacious and very clean and simple. I would stay here , next time I am in Vienna. The hotel toiletries smell amazing.

Nice meeting with the hotel and the staff. Got upgraded room to junior suite on arrival at no extra cost, although we would have rather been without the upgrade. The room had two floors with an upper floor bed with open loft. The result was that the upper part became very hot even though we had no heat on any stoves. Air conditioning was not working and we asked in the lobby where we were told it was off when it is winter time. Little help for us when we had to sleep in 24 degrees Celsius. They gave us a table fan, which is not very comfortable to have on during the night. Some other small details too, such as that the shower head didn't stay up by itself, and we had to tie it up with thread unless we wanted to hold it by hand all the time. No place for soap by the sink, so it slipped into the sink every time we used it. Air filtration in the bathroom was clogged with dust, so the room stayed humid long after we had finished showering. Two separate toilets in the room, but both without a sink. Quite decent breakfast, although people often had to wait inline outside until there was room to sit and eat.

Superior rooms seems to be very basic without any lower categories. Are all the baths almost without enamel and showing the cast iron through what is left? Breakfast very good selection. Short walk to city centre. Junior suite was good once we paid extra. Lots of restaurants near the hotel.
