A very nice experience. I love literature and fell in love with this Museum instandly. The design, the flair, the staff, the special exhibition, everything was just right for my little literary heart. I found it surprisingly interesting that such an exciting place was not visited and therefore very deserted.

Wonderful. Most intriguing to me is draft of Wittgenstein's Investigations.

Great Place for Austrian Literature on 3 Floors. You will find interesting Facts from the Past till Nowadays. The Museum is part of the Austrian National Library. Events like Public Lecture are offered. Have a look at the website!

Beautiful old rooms with old furniture, the exhibitions is fit into the old wooden shelves! Silent place. I think it takes really quite some time to get through it all! I made a guided tour which was okay.

Anyone interested in literature is in good hands here. Texts, photos and lots of multimedia accompany you through the exhibition. Highly recommended!

So much to see here! If you are a lover of books, history, or Vienna you should check this place out! It deserves more credit than it gets! The current exhibition is also in English, but you can get a free iPad that will give you the English translation for the rest of the museum. I had to pick and choose just because there was SO much interesting information. It’s open late on Thursdays and you should definitely stop by!

It is a very interesting review of Austrian literature through the years. I would only recommend if interested in Austrian writers. It's mainly in German but they provide a tablet able to translate some important parts in English.

Very interesting museum for anyone interested in literature. You get a good overview of Austrian writers and also gain critical insights into the construction of, for example, foreignness or femininity. The toilets were very clean. Potential for improvement: - Install a museum shop so that you can take the authors' works home with you as reading material and souvenirs. - Be sure to adjust the soundscape, as you will repeatedly hear voices/noises during your visit that actually come from exhibits that you are supposed to hear using headphones. This should be easy to fix and visitors will then be able to concentrate better.

It was empty. There were two floors of exibition. I took very little time to see them. And everything was in German. Not a title in English. Austria has magnificent writers, among them, my favourite is Ingeborg Bachmann, a genius and they had a little tiny cornen dedicated to her, in the main literature museum of the main city of Austria. It was wrong. There wasn't much about other writers too. So it was futile visit.

Great museum, although it's entirely in German, so I don't recommend it for English speaking tourists.

Perfect way of presenting literature. Not a second boring.

Two floors of constant exhibition (chronologically organised) and a third one dedicated to a temporary one. Quite informative and surprising engaging even for someone with little to no info on the subject.

Very private, with many historical facts, very well organised and surprisingly cheap. A great way to spend time.

Museum consists of 3 floors and looks very interesting however only the 3rd floor had English translations

Only for German speakers. Totally disappointed as I paid for the universal pass and no one warned me about this. If you sell tickets to foreigners you should adapt your offer to them, even if it is a literature museum.
