Southern Spice is occupied by 4 floors with ground having a restaurant serving both veg and non veg and the rest 3 floors has a banquet hall for functions. The pictures uploaded here are specifically of 3rd floor (a mini-hall) which could accommodate 30-35 members. If you are planning for a kitty party or a small birthday party or any of such kind, this mini hall suits the best. Also, SOUTHERN SPICE arranges for buffet with wide variety of food items. So you do not need to worry about food. Make sure you book this space well in advance so that you may not get disappointed later. Best suits for family and friends. You can have an undisrupted party as it’s a closed AC room.

Good ambiance, friendly service by staffs. Tasty and quality food varieties are available. Ideal for friends and family dining out place. Non veg varieties are good, tasty and delicious. Biriyani we had, was good spicy but tasty. Rates are reasonable.

Not upto the mark .we had ordered chilli chicken,loose prawns ,butter garlic chicken ,appolo fish and shahi ghosh biryani and chicken spcl biryani .only shahi ghosh biryani was nycc rest all items are not upto the mark .

The photos I have posted below are the photos of mini conference hall in southern spice. This mini conference hall accommodates around 25-30 people maximum. If you are planning for a small party like birthday function, this place is a best place. Just book the place , walk in , party and leave happily. The price per plate for non veg dishes is 400rs /plate. This rate is all inclusive like hall price, electricity etc. The menu items were grape juice as welcome drink, rumali roti, chicken gravy, motton biryani with kaddu ka khatta , raita. In sweet there was bread halva and an ice cream.

Starters are very good. Not satisfied with the staff as they don’t have cool drinks instead they pretended they have them. In the end when asked for cool drinks we were given cool drinks which are opened from packing with out cooling. And the order of serving is also bad as they brought soup after serving starters.

Initially I rated it a bit high, but now that the quality of food and service has deteriorated I reduced the rating. Have visited this place quite a number of times. My first and second visits were satisfactory but the later aren't. Totally disappointed by the quality of food. Have purchased paneer curry on a Sunday night, I don't know if they have served the food from the previous day or that which was cooked in the morning, the curry was almost at the verge of getting rotten. I purchased an other set of vegetarian dishes recently and they were not good too. So I now got to know it's not just a one time bad experience but that they have compromised their quality and hygiene. I could see that the curry others than that displayed in the counter were stored in plastic buckets. Felt really bad on seeing it. Would never dare visit this place again.

Tried family pack chicken dum biryani take away.. Cost 800.. Taste was really good. Decent spicy, Ghee flavored.. Comes in 2 boxes.. With boneless chicken curry and 2 butter Naan. 3 people can have it fully. Overall 4.5/5

Food is ok ok and they will switch off the ac in the middle of the function and service is the worst, if go to bathroom vomiting pakka. Suggested not to book for functions.

Biryani just reminded me of Hyderabadi biryani ,which is hard to replicate in vijayawada , i have tried so many biryani places but none of them impressed me. The Restaurants in vijayawada simply don't understand what is dum biryani . In some restaurants they give you fry chicken pieces with basmathi rice which is plain bagara rice. But they assume it to me biryani. Its a pity. But this restaurant made my day. Authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani . Except for the Dal curry provided for you. Eventho we don't eat dal it brings a different feeling . Overall Very very Nice Biryani . But the pricing is on a big higherisde for one person .but if you have friends you can have best budget meal.

Food is Excellent but service is very very poor. If you order something in between you're having meal, probably it will come after 15 mins.

The place is too dark for dine-in not so great ambience. It's too dark that you can't even see flies around your food. We asked to change our table to a better lit place, and the staff immediately changed it.

We visited southern spice restaurant with lots of expectations but we got very disappointed by their food quality, taste and ambiance. Especially coming for service, not at all satisfied with their service. As we pay money not only for food but for the dining experience also, the ambiance was very bad..... I believe southern spice management would improve their service as well as food quality and taste.

Nice food. The taste and quality is super. I tried sambar and some of the fries ad curries. Better Atmosphere and good for immediate take away. The hygienic is Better.Overall it is a good hotel.

Management is very cunning. They collected 850rs per plate, and gave us cheap quality spicy food from cheap caterers. For functions they are not serving from restaurent but from out side caterers. Our whole function was failure. Guests got sick after eating food. Arrangements are very poor.

Southern Spice was once a famous restaurant in Vijayawada.. but now it seems to have declined a bit.Ambience inside the restaurant is not so clean.When it comes to parking, take some time to park.We ordered chicken biryani. take away It would have been nice to have a little quality like before.I think there may be more chef..

Today I brought a parcel of Veg Fried Rice. The taste of rice is so worst, it is better to make it on a roadside Street food. Rice quality also not good. Taste less food.

Taste was fine but I had food poisoning here when I are here on a weekday. Probably they are just giving food of few days back on weekdays and preparing fresh food only on weekends So I don't recommend this restaurant

I went with my family & friends taste is good, also snacks, meals & biryani all are very yummy n tasty nice ambiance reasonable prices when compared to other restaurants. It is very old hotel and items are tasty and delicious. From comparative with other hotels it looks very old. But taste vise is good.

Prices are high compared to other good hotels.Had mutton and special chicken biryani. Special Chicken biryani is biryani rice with small quantity of boneless curry, mutton biryani is waste of money not at all good.ambience is average.side gravy dishes are not good.overall not satisfied with this food experience.

We have ordered Fish starter and Chicken boneless biryani.. Fish is super tasty.. but biryani at its worst.. chicken is soo hard and tasteless.. I don't think I visit this restaurant again..

I have visited this place for my friend's daughter birthday function. Good ambience and affordable rates if you are looking for place to host 100 or 150 guests for mini functions.

the food is served hot when I am in train. They delivered on time. Disposable plates and spoons are provided. We ordered soup and fried rice. is provided. It is good , better than the irctc. Thank you for the owner and staff who has made it possible.

Visited after 10pm, restaurant was still open although avilable menu was limited. Speedy service, tasty starters and fried rice. Gravy curries were so-so. Overall was an enjoyable visit.

Used to be pleasant earlier.... now even though the taste was good....need to have more hygiene....and time to put lights on.....no need to keep dim light 😜 Saw a cockroach even in dim light in the restaurant.....

Fry pieces chicken biryani was not upto the mark. As spice in the name lot of spice added, due heavy chilli usage I was unable to enjoy the taste of the dish. Corn soup and chilly chicken was good.

Recently i visited with my colleagues. We had soup and a starter, finally with Shai Ghosh mutton biryani it was superb and delicious. The taste was top notch. For starters we had loose fish it was so soft and very tasty. Overall next level taste over here

Restaurant was very good, and food was excellant. Service was very fast, didnt have to wait long for our food. Plus, it is a very good price for what you get. I rather spend money on this place than any other place in town!
