Just spent 6 nights here and what a fabulous find. The lady on reception was extremely helpful and friendly and opened reception early to book us in. Spacious, private pitches, with good toilet and shower facilities and decent sized swimming pool. Location is great for bus stops and train station, however found paying a little more for the train to Nice is well worth it! Big supermarket within 2 minutes walk and 5 minutes walk to the beach front and marina with an array of bars and restaurants. Definitely recommend and will go back soon.

I absolutely loved this place, it’s in town yet you could be anywhere. The pitches were flat and of a good size, the facilities whilst beginning to date were always clean and tidy. There was a lack of toilet paper and some of the Lois were permanently closed but there was still plenty to go round. The washing machine and tumble dryer worked perfectly and proved very useful to us. The pool was brilliant and whilst it was busy there was never a time we couldn’t get sun beds. I’d highly recommend to anyone.

We spend two days in this beautiful city. Having this camping just by the beach was marvellous. We did not use the swimming pool but it was available. Very good prices. The lady who received us was very friendly. Thx

We stayed for 3 nights at Camping de l'hippodrome in our motorhome. It is easy to find and very conveniently located close to the main motorway; but not so close that you can hear the motorway, you definitely can't. It was full when we arrived and is clearly very popular. The campsite is very clean, well looked after and maintained. We stayed with our dog, who was welcome, and who unlike a previous reviewer who took their dog, she was absolutely fine, no health problems at all. I just can't see how you or your dog would get poorly at this site or any of those that we've stayed at for that matter. It is really close to not only the Casino Geant supermarket but also to the town, the seafront and a host of bars & restaurants. The tourist office is literally 50m from the main gate. The site doesn't have a bar nor a restaurant, but that's no problem at all. There are plenty of places to eat all within walking distance, from McDonald's and Burger King right up to Michelin star restaurants close to the port and marina. Camping de l'hippodrome is small and compact and the focal point is the lovely swimming pool. The pitches are of a good size, our motorhome is 7.2m long, there were longer ones on the site. We didnt have any problem in parking or pitching up. The site is nice & private, with a large boundary wall providing the privacy running around the perimeter. Each pitch has water and electricity and the grey waste with chemical toilet drain is one of the best and easiest to access of the sites that we have visited over the last 7 weeks. Yes there are the usual rules, trunks not shorts, don't move the sunbeds; buy they all help to maintain the standards. Standards' which means this 'open-all-year' campsite isn't cheap but it's very much on a par with almost every other site that we've stayed at. The biggest difference is that you get a better standard of site in France than we found you get in Italy (generally speaking). The walk to the supermarket is no more than five minutes. The walk, straight past the tourist information office, to the seafront is no more than 10 minutes, so it's really close. Everything really is within walking distance, there is no need to use your car or motorhome to get around once you've pitched up. Going back to the reviewer who moaned about the site. There tend to be those who use the Google review system to genuinely carry out a review, to talk about their experience, the good, the bad and the indifferent, and then there are those who rarely post any reviews and then use their review as a means to air their grievance, or their believed grievance, which is not what the review system is about, is it? We really enjoyed our stay and the privacy that we had on our pitch 😀 👍.

Do not go there. The place made my dog ill and I didn't feel great either. They must have some kind of hygiene problem. The management were also pretty arrogant and tried to overcharge me. I have been to 100s of great campsites but AVOID this one at all costs. Really nasty atmosphere.

This is just the best positioned campsite for visiting the Côte d’Azure. Family run and exceptionally clean site.

We paid about €27 per night for 2 people + electric in a 7m camper which I think is quite high out of season - but we really enjoyed our stay here, the lady on reception was lovely & friendly, having an indoor pool & jacuzzi was great as it rained a couple of days. Very easy bike route to the train station, less than 10 mins, with bike path most of the way & good connections to nice/Monaco/Antibes etc. Really close to the beach & supermarket plus a great promenade for running.

Firstly you need to Book. Very busy Campsite. Pitch is big and camping is in a great Spot. Very friendly and helpful Lady in Reception and speaks excellent English, as an Australian this makes it very easy. I would have given 5 stars except the Showers are not hot, luke warm and no hot water to Shave. With weather getting cooler the showers need to be hotter. But overall a Good Campsite.

The reception host was polite friendly and very helpful upon arrival. Facilities were very clean and tidy, I just wish the sinks had plugs... so bring a washing up bowl. In a town it was not that noisy. A good secure place and a good spot for the sea front.

Very strange. I called yesterday evening to ask if they had a spot for a campervan for 5 nights the next Day. Yes they had they said. I asked the man if i had to make a reservation on the phone and he said: no Just come tommorrow. So i drove more than 130 km!!!! To the camping and when i arrived i asked if they had a spot for five nights.. and suddenly they didnt.. and they only had spot in about 4 days.. i felt that this was not True and that they where judging by nationality

Polecam !
