We
stayed
for
3
nights
at
Camping
de
l'hippodrome
in
our
motorhome.
It
is
easy
to
find
and
very
conveniently
located
close
to
the
main
motorway;
but
not
so
close
that
you
can
hear
the
motorway,
you
definitely
can't.
It
was
full
when
we
arrived
and
is
clearly
very
popular.
The
campsite
is
very
clean,
well
looked
after
and
maintained.
We
stayed
with
our
dog,
who
was
welcome,
and
who
unlike
a
previous
reviewer
who
took
their
dog,
she
was
absolutely
fine,
no
health
problems
at
all.
I
just
can't
see
how
you
or
your
dog
would
get
poorly
at
this
site
or
any
of
those
that
we've
stayed
at
for
that
matter.
It
is
really
close
to
not
only
the
Casino
Geant
supermarket
but
also
to
the
town,
the
seafront
and
a
host
of
bars
&
restaurants.
The
tourist
office
is
literally
50m
from
the
main
gate.
The
site
doesn't
have
a
bar
nor
a
restaurant,
but
that's
no
problem
at
all.
There
are
plenty
of
places
to
eat
all
within
walking
distance,
from
McDonald's
and
Burger
King
right
up
to
Michelin
star
restaurants
close
to
the
port
and
marina.
Camping
de
l'hippodrome
is
small
and
compact
and
the
focal
point
is
the
lovely
swimming
pool.
The
pitches
are
of
a
good
size,
our
motorhome
is
7.2m
long,
there
were
longer
ones
on
the
site.
We
didnt
have
any
problem
in
parking
or
pitching
up.
The
site
is
nice
&
private,
with
a
large
boundary
wall
providing
the
privacy
running
around
the
perimeter.
Each
pitch
has
water
and
electricity
and
the
grey
waste
with
chemical
toilet
drain
is
one
of
the
best
and
easiest
to
access
of
the
sites
that
we
have
visited
over
the
last
7
weeks.
Yes
there
are
the
usual
rules,
trunks
not
shorts,
don't
move
the
sunbeds;
buy
they
all
help
to
maintain
the
standards.
Standards'
which
means
this
'open-all-year'
campsite
isn't
cheap
but
it's
very
much
on
a
par
with
almost
every
other
site
that
we've
stayed
at.
The
biggest
difference
is
that
you
get
a
better
standard
of
site
in
France
than
we
found
you
get
in
Italy
(generally
speaking).
The
walk
to
the
supermarket
is
no
more
than
five
minutes.
The
walk,
straight
past
the
tourist
information
office,
to
the
seafront
is
no
more
than
10
minutes,
so
it's
really
close.
Everything
really
is
within
walking
distance,
there
is
no
need
to
use
your
car
or
motorhome
to
get
around
once
you've
pitched
up.
Going
back
to
the
reviewer
who
moaned
about
the
site.
There
tend
to
be
those
who
use
the
Google
review
system
to
genuinely
carry
out
a
review,
to
talk
about
their
experience,
the
good,
the
bad
and
the
indifferent,
and
then
there
are
those
who
rarely
post
any
reviews
and
then
use
their
review
as
a
means
to
air
their
grievance,
or
their
believed
grievance,
which
is
not
what
the
review
system
is
about,
is
it?
We
really
enjoyed
our
stay
and
the
privacy
that
we
had
on
our
pitch
😀
👍.
