I
stayed
here
for
five
days
over
Christmas,
and
it
is
one
of
the
worst
hotel
stays
I
have
had.
First,
though,
the
pros:
cleaning
staff
is
prompt
and
excellent.
I
particularly
have
to
commend
them
over
a
sentimental
point
-
when
they
turned
up
my
bed
on
Christmas
eve,
they
left
a
wrapped
gingerbread
cookie
by
a
gnome
ragdoll
I
had
brought
with
me
on
the
bed,
which
was
very
cute.
The
bed
itself
is
very
comfortable,
and
there
was
nothing
wrong
with
the
room
premises
itself
besides
being
on
the
small
side.
Breakfast
was
also
very
good.
They
serve
almost
the
exact
same
items
every
day,
though,
which
might
be
an
issue
for
some
who
like
to
mix
up
their
breakfast.
The
staple
items
include:
scrambled
eggs,
fried
vegetables,
boiled
eggs,
pork
sausage,
cold
cut
ham,
pancakes
or
porridge,
fresh
chopped
tomato,
cucumber,
and
lettuce,
pickled
herring,
pickled
carrots,
beets,
and/or
sauerkraut,
cereal/granola,
yogurt,
varske,
waffle
batter
to
make
your
own
waffles,
and
both
sweet
and
savoury
condiments
(ketchup,
mayonnaise,
nutella,
jam,
dried
apples,
raisins,
etc.).
Location
is
pretty
much
in
the
heart
of
Vilnius
so
it
isn't
long
to
walk
to
hit
up
most
of
the
major
sites.
Now
for
the
cons:
While
the
hotel
has
great
noise
insulation
from
the
exterior,
there
is
almost
none
inside/between
rooms
and
even
floors.
There
was
a
guest
whose
noisy,
shouting
children
I
could
hear
clearly
and
someone
else's
TV
whose
noise
was
filtering
into
my
room
when
I
was
trying
to
get
to
sleep,
and
I
assumed
it
must
be
someone
on
either
side
of
me
-
but,
according
to
hotel
staff,
there
was
almost
no
one
staying
in
my
vicinity,
meaning
all
the
noise
was
reaching
me
from
one
floor
down
(or
possibly
even
more).
So
besides
hearing
all
the
other
guests
in
the
hotel
at
any
hour
of
the
night,
you
will
get
to
hear
every
door
slamming
in
the
place
as
well.
Had
I
not
bought
ear
plugs
my
second
night
there,
I
would
not
have
been
able
to
get
any
sleep
at
all.
As
regards
the
customer
service
staff
here:
they
are
very
unprofessional
and
outright
rude
at
times,
probably
because
they
all
look
and
act
like
teenagers.
That's
probably
by
dint
of
a
lot
of
older
people
in
Lithuania
being
unable
to
speak
English
well
if
at
all,
and
also
probably
from
the
better
hotels
in
the
area
snatching
up
the
professional/non-juvenile
hospitallers.
In
any
event,
when
I
called
the
front
desk
about
the
noise,
the
person
who
answered
was
argumentative
and
largely
unhelpful.
On
check-in,
the
reception
was
cold
and
did
not
explain
anything
about
the
hotel's
service
offerings.
When
I
came
down
for
breakfast
too
early
on
the
day
after
Christmas,
one
of
the
staff
snorted
that
I
was
too
early
because
they
were
still
on
holiday
time
rather
than
going
back
to
their
normal
weekday
breakfast
time,
as
if
I
was
stupid
for
not
knowing
that.
All
in
all,
between
the
noise
and
the
juvenile
staff,
I
would
not
be
likely
to
return
here
with
the
prices
they
charge.
