March 5th, 1992 I placed an order with Kung Food in Southern NJ. It was my first experience with Chinese Food. Since then I have been a regular consumer of the product, some would even argue that my love of the cuisine makes me an expert level critic. Over the years I have tasted the good the bad and the ugly. Fast forward to today, May 3rd, 2023. I placed an order at Hong Kong Gourmet for chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce. It's been a long time since food brought a smile to my face, but by golly did the good folks at HKG turn my Wednesday frown upside down. By far the best I've ever had....Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! Long Live HKG!!!

Food is excellent, maybe tied up with another for the best Chinese food around. Wait time is crazy. Especially when there's no one there and you are the only customer.

Been going down hill. I really liked this store for a bit. It became very noticeable that the quality of the food has went down severely and matches the attitude the lady that takes the food orders and money at the front. Several times the chicken wings appeared and taste as if it was frozen and dropped in oil that has not heated up enough . You can see it on the skin of the chicken wings. And this has been a consistent practice by this store. The lady's (manager) attitude on the phone is very intolerable. She doesn't like to tell you how much your order is or how much time it will take unless you deliberately ask. She will hang up on you immediately after she takes the order. A few times I brought food there and my car stank . Really stink my car up, scent coming from the oil they cooked their food in. I needed to be done with Chinese food for a very long time. And this was the motivation I needed. (Side note) On the other hand , the best and still the best Chinese food I ever had no matter what state I was in, will always be "Yummy " in irvington near the IHOP. Not the one across the bus terminal by thr same name. There is barely any good Chinese food in vineland

First time eating here. Ordered fried chicken wings and vegetable fried rice. It had nooo flavor and the chicken was not crispy! Beef and broccoli was ok Fried cheese wonton was meh too sweet and had a weird texture. Won’t be coming back :(

Best take out in town...we literally have been encouraging our friends and family to try here...and they have changed their favorite place to Hong Kong Gourmet!

The food was good but the woman who took my order was so nice and helpful they get 5 stars just for that. I highly recommend this place.

Great place. Never been inside however delivery is the best quick and food always hot. We get the same thing everytime we order . General Tsos Shrimp. Always delicious food is Amazing. The lady that answers phone is so polite and nice. Love that Place. That is the only place we order from. Very Kind People.

Excellent food & service. Friendly staff. It's a hit & run joint but easily accessed with curbside parking or delivery if you choose. Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed. They gotta eat too. 🥠

Today was the first time ordering here, and it won't be the last!! Everything we ordered was so good and tasted fresh! The workers were very friendly, and the one lady even ran outside to give my hubby a menu because she knew it was our first time ordering! We will definitely be ordering again soon!!

Absolutely delicious food. Got an order of fried dumplings ( dumplings cooked to perfection, sauce was great) , a combination order of general tso's chicken & beef with Chinese vegetables. Best Chinese food I've had in a long time, possibly best ever. 👌

The best Chinese food in this County!

Best Chinese food I've ever had. I was here 2 weeks for work and I think I ordered food around 10 times here, I can't believe how great it was every time! The girl up front was super friendly too, I miss it already

I love the food but today I didn't like the treatment that the woman from China gave me. She was with a very ugly attitude. That's not good because we are paying for the food. She's not giving me anything. I'm very sorry to express my bad experience today. I hope that next time she will treat the customer better.

I have eaten here so many times it's a shame! They have the best chicken wings in Atlantic City, if you like your chicken marinated in delicious Asian spices for at least a few days, then deep fried to a dark brown. So succulent that the skin has nearly disappeared. All the flesh to the bone is rich and full. The only chicken wings that can come close to this restaurant is on Dr. King Boulevard. They had the best deep fried chicken wings if you want a crust on your chicken wings. If you want the best Asian flavored chicken wings in Atlantic City there is no better location!

My soul knew better, but it was this or Crown Fried Chicken.... I should of went with the Chicken! TV

I went here because Best Food in Town was closed. I ordered pizza rolls which was hard on the outside and not cooked on the inside and steamed dumplings which were edible. I also got the chicken fingers but they looked like sweet and sour chicken. I thought the chicken was undercooked but the dog enjoyed it. My husband got chicken wings and fried rice. He was happy all Chinese Food establishment has the same hot sauce so he could drench his overcooked wings. I would not recommend.
