A fabulous place to stay. A splendid, graceful house of character sitting in the forest around Vizzavona gave us an unforgettable couple of days rest from the GR20. The front of house, Henri, aided by Fatima, gave perfect service and … the food. Wow. Henri is a great cook and created simple but glorious dishes that even four hungry foodie hikers couldn’t finish. The food was almost entirely locally sourced and home made. Nothing was too much bother and it was genuinely one of the most pleasurable hotel stays I’ve had in 30 years of travel. Definitely recommended.

We had a great night with Vincent and Henry, they went completely above and beyond and way above our expectations. The rooms are beautiful and quiet with lovely views of the forest. They cooked us a lovely dinner and breakfast all with local produce. Above all they gave us a warm welcome, a great atmosphere and lots and lots of advice for the rest of our trip. We'd definitely go back without hesitation to stay a bit longer.

We (2persons) are going the gr20 and sleept in the hotel after a tough 12h day. By far this hotel/guesthouse had the nicest people around, even when our france was a bit poor. The breakfast was just asthonising. Its not cheap (we payed around 120e together, sleep+breakfast) but definitly worth it. It was and will be a rememberable experience on the gr20. Thanks a lot for everything and all the bread for hiking, we really appreciated it and were very happy

Wonderful stay at Casa Alta, warm welcome, warm rooms, super staff and fantastic dinner and breakfast - highly recommend, especially when looking for comfort amidst the GR20 trek.

We have stayed for 2 nights, the owners are both very friendly, rooms are cosy and clean. Lovely historical building, walking distance from English cascade. It is a great place to stay!

Wow! My stay here at Casa Alta was fantastic! I highly recommend staying here!!! The food is absolutely incredible, and the rooms are clean and beautiful. I would also like to note as a young female, traveling alone, I felt completely safe, and at home! I hope to come back here in the summer.

The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Henri and Vincent were very helpful when we wanted to extend the stay and also do some laundry. Also, as non-native French speakers, we found it very easy to understand and converse with them which was much appreciated. Would thoroughly recommend.
