Love that quirky hotels like this still exist. Eclectic mix of wonderful paintings everywhere, family ownership and an attempt at being modern. The dinner is great, lunches less so. The rooms are good, with one wing having newly refurbished rooms. Worth it for a quiet evening in Volendam after the busloads of tourists have finally departed.

Great location with own parking. Decent breakfast with limited choice but good quality overall. Our room was in the old part with crooked floors which made for a very different and interesting experience. Modern bathroom, nice soft bed. The room was decorated with old furniture and lots of paintings and pictures. I would go there again and would recommend it to my friends.

This is a must-see hotel restaurant. Artists stayed for free and instead contributed their artwork, including drawings directly on the walls. It's a beautiful, sumptuous experience.

We were eating here with a small group on a voucher. Though the staff was friendly, the food was really bad! We particularly asked if the chickendish was chicken breast or thigh. They told us : breast. It was not. Also the fish was not fresh. For extra fries they charged 4,5 for a small side portion, and 1 euro extra for each small cup of mayonnaise or ketchup!!! On the final bill , the price was not correct. They charged 6,5 for the fries!!! We will never get back to this place.

The room (modern) was clean but simple. The history/art in the hotel is amazing. The breakfasts were mostly continental except for cooked on Sunday, but good.

More than 80 euro per night, there was no soap in the toilet, lots of mosquitos and 4 spiders next to the windows. Staff available and ready.

The hotel has an old, quirky charm to it and is right by the sea. The staff were very pleasant. I have no complaints and could definitely see myself staying there again.

Neat and tidy rooms. Great place to dine in. The hotel has got great sea view. If you are tired with city life and want something cool and calm, you would love it.

A very nice hotel, but very expensive. I paid over 120 euros per night without breakfast.

We had a great time, our first time here, the front desk staffs were extremely helpful and efficient, specially, Mirjam, John, Wesley and others, overall all the hotel staffs we interacted with were extremely customer oriented, professional and extremely helpful ... We definitely planning to be back and for longer stay ... By the way, the restaurant was great and the wine was delicious ...👍👍👌👌

I haven't stayed in this hotel, just had some desserts and coffee They were excellent, but the main highlight is of course the pictures and statues all over the place They are AWESOME. Even if you don't feel like eating there, just visit the place for the arts. You will not be disappointed.

Greetings from India , I remember staying at your hotel in September 1983 along with my grandparents. We were traveling on a Cosmos holiday coach tour. It was my first visit to Volendam & we’re told it was one of the oldest wooden hotels. Lovely stay & beautiful memories 🙂

Extremely nice hotel in the city center with ancient atmosphere, where even the dust and spider's Web are "holy" and nobody touch them. The table lamps, if there was a place to turn them on, worked in their own mood. Probably this is part of the hotel's strategy to take you back, in time for a while. And although we were not allowed to eat dessert in the restaurant, because the table was "reserved", we had a great time. Point of view

Definitely recommending it to people visiting Volendam! It's got a great historic atmosphere and the food is good too. We didn't stay the night (just had lunch), so can't comment on the hotel facilities.

A small cosy hotel. Breakfast is good and hotel employees are friendly. Highly recommended for a short stay.

The food was tasty and the prices are average. But the staff was very confused and we had 3 servers so they mixed up our order. First we got only one glass of juice instead of two. And in the end they gave us a bill on which was our and the next to us table’s order. And they didn’t even apologize.

Staff (Lucas) was so kind and nice making us sandwiches at 12 am because everywhere was shut. Hotel is clean and lovely. Would love to come again.
