This pavilion houses the Museum of the East. I was at the Roerich exhibition. I didn't like the exhibition. The trellis hanging of Roerich's watercolors is simply depressing. I didn’t like the DPI exposition either. Everything is in a pile, there are no signs. There is no indication of the years of creation of items. It's a pity!

Here is the Museum of Oriental Art and an exhibition of paintings by the Roerichs. Oriental exhibits are piled up in a heap, it is impossible to examine or find out what they are. It seems that they were simply moved into a corner to accommodate the collection of paintings. And the paintings were stuffed all over the walls up to the ceiling. It is virtually impossible to see them properly. I can’t even imagine how many were not exhibited. In general, a profanation of the museum. There isn't even a toilet. But the ticket costs money. By the way, if you are over 90 years old, but you did not take with you a document certifying that you are a pensioner, you will not be given the right to a discount - everything is only in accordance with a piece of paper, not a fact.

A very interesting place because of the exhibition of the Roerichs. Beautiful paintings. It’s a pity that such honored people were given so little space after the destruction of their non-state museum. Otherwise, the exhibition is more reminiscent of a junk shop corner due to the piled-up exhibits from the collections of the Museum of the East. The Japanese and Chinese exhibits are very impressive. The huge vases from there are magnificent. As well as elegant woodwork with fine inlay. Overall I highly recommend it. But I assess the work of the Ministry of Culture as barbaric.

(Translated by Google) Today, a branch of the Museum of Oriental Art is located here: the Roerich Center. In the building you can see paintings by great artists: Nicholas and Konstantin Roerich, see objects of oriental life: all sorts of figurines, vases. That is, in essence: the Oriental Museum simply squeezed the building from the Roerich Center, and in order to clear conscience a little, the management decided to make a sort of dump of objects (they are all far away under glass, the inscriptions did not even bother to attach) and paintings (most of them were arranged high above the ceiling, which will not be visible to people with low vision). Of course, it’s good that the entire collection was not put under the hammer, but it’s a shame that in this country they are so barbaric about art.

Now there is part of the collection of the Museum of the East. In particular, Chinese household items and weapons of the East are presented, and most of the exhibition consists of paintings by the Roerich family. I’ve seen these paintings many times, but I couldn’t resist and went to the exhibition again. The Roerichs are excellent artists, these bright colors capture the imagination. The caretaker could not answer the question about the presence of one painting (which I remember from childhood), from which I conclude that if you want to learn something, take a tour. Apart from this caretaker (they are angrier at the Tretyakov Gallery😄), this is a very interesting exhibition. I recommend to everyone. And yes, I found the picture. And I took a bunch of photos of her.

In pavilion No. 13 “Healthcare,” guests of the country’s Main Exhibition can see the large-scale exhibition “Preserving Culture. Museum of the Roerichs at VDNKh”, which was opened by the State Museum of Oriental Art. More than 600 works represent the entire spectrum of artistic creativity of Nicholas and Svyatoslav Roerich. The exhibition includes paintings by the Roerichs, works of oriental sculpture, Tibetan icons (thanks) collected by Nicholas Roerich during the scientific and artistic expedition to India and Central Asia, which the artist undertook in the mid-1920s. The paintings of Nicholas Roerich presented in the exhibition cover 45 years of his creative life. The theme of Ancient Rus' runs through the theme. The artist’s brushes include famous paintings: “Building Boats”, “Idols”, “Dove Book”, “Slavic Land”, “Yaroslav the Wise”, “Svyatogor” and the so-called “architectural series”. The series dates back to the early period and gives an idea of Russian architecture. The exhibition features famous masterpieces, including “The Last Angel”, “Miracle”, “Armageddon”, as well as many works from the “Himalayas” series. Built in 1939. Architects - K.S. Alabyan, S.A. Safarian. Reconstructed in 1962 according to the design of S.A. Safaryan. Name change Until 1963 - “Armenian SSR”. In 1964–1966 - “Food industry”.

Museum of Oriental Things N. Roerich. There are interesting exhibits. Some of them apparently took months to make - carved furniture, paintings and statues. It would be very difficult for me personally to live in such an environment)), but there are lovers)). The kaleidoscope of paintings by N. Roerich himself seems endless - and they are all different!!!

I am very glad that the Museum of the East has another exhibition space. Most of the pavilion is occupied by an exhibition of paintings by Roerich, which migrated from his museum (the museum is currently under restoration). It was a great pleasure for me to see the open storage! Finally got the opportunity to see so many wonderful items! In addition, there are no explications, so you are not distracted by the text, but simply enjoy the beauty.

Is this really a museum? I agree with many previous reviews that it looks more like a warehouse or junk shop. Stunningly beautiful objects are piled up in “cabinets”; there are no signs, even by country. The screens in the center of the hall provide little information. The pavilion building is most likely not very suitable for such a museum.
