We are on our third stop at this wonderful site and we will be back for more! We stayed for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago and again now for another 4 nights as part of our trip exploring the Loire. Why the high reviews and repeated visits? We have visited many sites across Europe and this is our favourite because not only is the location great for bikes on the Velo, not only is it near Tours and Amboise, not only in Vouvray town really nice but the site owners are the nicest people you will ever meet; the site is spotless with countless personal touches that make it unique and loved. They are so helpful and will do their best to make your stay fabulous. An example of their care is that our dog slipped its lead when walking nearby and the owners got so many local people to help in the hunt for him, it took us all two hours to find my dog and Dmitry, the owner, didn’t stop for a second or give up looking. So, look no further - book here, you will love it

A gem of a campsite - Laura and Demetri run the campsite with love and attention to detail. Facilities are spotless, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. It far exceeds its two star rating and his exceptional value. Just a short walk away from the village and the bus stop for Tours, but also with plenty of cycling opportunities from the site. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend the site.

3stars for rooms only because we brought our own (caravan)! Really nice camp site, very well laid out with hedges providing pitches with some privacy. Immaculate toilets and plenty of showers. Most if not all pitches seemed to have water taps and electric hook up (10A). Very fast (~200Mb/s) free WiFi at the reception area.

Excellent simple campsite. Adult friendly without lots of noisey children or swimming pool etc. Very affordable with private, shady pitches and excellent local wine on offer. There's a nice Italian restaurant 100m from the site. We stayed for one night as we were passing through and had not made a booking and they were happy to accommodate us. Toilets and showers were clean. The water temperature was perfect for the hot weather so no complaints there. Easy to recommend staying here.

The welcome was friendly and pleasant. I hardly speak French. Communication took place in English. Young owners who have a heart for the business. The entire campsite is well maintained and clean. There are even "toilet seat covers" available Owner walks around regularly to clean or clear up any waste. Tours is easily accessible from the campsite. The road leads through a number of streets and then via a cycle path along the Loire that leads you directly into the city via a bicycle/pedestrian bridge. Top campsite that is more than worth a visit and that for a low rate as far as I am concerned.

Love this campsite. Our second time there and we’ve booked for a further four days after a little break in between. The couple that run it are absolutely lovely. Pitches are generous, shaded and full sun. Facilities spotless. A little about the area - for those UK with dogs, there is a new veterinary clinic on the corner - 2 dogs for worming for AHC currently 83 euros for both. There is a fantastic Eleclerc 13min cycle away. The boulangerie in Vouvray is spot on. The Velo is practically on the door step. We used it every day - 10k to Tours, 30 mins( flat ALL the way) and we also cycled to Amboise ( again flat but do the route on Google maps, don’t follow the VELO , takes about an hour each way through pretty side roads). Cannot recommend this site enough

Beautiful small quirky campsite, facilities were top class (was just lacking hand soap). Run by a very friendly and helpful couple. Nice and peaceful, you can slightly hear the road, but mainly drowned out with the sound of birds. Dog friendly. Thanks for such a great stay!

Great little campsite for exploring the area, the young couple who run it are perfect hosts. Good showers and all the facilities you need. I would definitely stay here again. Bar and restaurant 5 minutes walk and quite a good supermarket in the village.

My wife and I stayed on this lovely site as a stop over on our way back to Jersey The site has lovely big shaded and unshaded pitches separated by bushes most of which are nice and level . The facilities are good and kept very clean , It’s a very short walk to the the nice town of Vouvray , which has a supermarket ,butcher ,Boulangerie ,and an Italian restaurant. The couple who run the site are very friendly and helpful , and are rightfully very proud of their campsite and the local area . I would definitely like to stay here again for a few days and explore the Loire valley Andy

Like some have said I’d rather you didn’t know about this great little site! Kind and smiley owners and not pricey . Pleasantly quirky around the camping. Even out of season, I’d advise getting here early as it is popular. Not the end of the world, as there is a well equipped aire literally just up from the entrance.

Rarely have a campsite so well maintained! The manager offered us a very friendly welcome, clean sanitary conditions thanks to his passage several times a day despite the weather which was a little rainy, large mowed pitches separated by well-trimmed hedges. You can find everything you need in the village a few steps from the campsite. THANK YOU We will definitely be back.

Excellent site and very helpful staff.this is our second time to stay here. 'Well kept and good sanitary facilities. There should be a note on the washing machine stating the duration of the cycle as it's not operated by a jeton as is the case in most sites. This is just a small inconvenience.

Great site for motorhomes and caravans, it is a small site and it was often full by early afternoon when we visited. It is probably best to book. It is important to have a positive and smiling reception in my view. Lona speaks excellent English and was so welcoming, a real asset to the business. We used the local bus service to visit Tours, the local Auchan supermarket was fine and the town boulangerie is excellent. We had a beer at the Le Vouvrillon but the manager seemed to be having a bad day, so we didn't stay. A lovely campsite and we really recommend it.

A pleasant little site with generous sized pitches, with hookup and fresh water. The amenities block is very clean with hot water showers. A great site for a stopover or visiting the chateaux of the Loire valley. Highly recommended.

Beautiful campsite, close to riverbank cycling route. Efficient, friendly reception. Fantastic value for money (€24 per nighy). Hot showers, beautiful, level, landscaped fully serviced pitches. Definitely worth a visit if in the Tours area.

Exceptional service, great location and very clean facilities. Very well run camping ground. We loved the little details as well, the flowers, the animals and the installations. Stayed there for a week in a campervan and will return.

Two Star Site With Three Star Facilities. This is a lovely site and much better than many with a higher rating. The facilities are excellent and are kept spotlessly clean by Dimitri and his team. Pitches are spacious and you can select sun or shade on arrival. There is a bus stop within 100 metres of the site with a regular bus to Tours that costs less than 2 euros. We could only stay for 3 nights due to family commitments but will certainly be returning next year! Super site!
