One of the worst Universities in the whole country...it brags about its performances but the courses are outdated for a couple of years. Most of the professors don't give a damn about you and even they try do keep you down for their own fun and amusement. The professors imply to use programs which require a licence and the programs used are pirated. I would recommend to evade this place for your own safety and your own wallet since this "thing" wants your money and does not give you anything

If as a foreigner, you're checking them reviews because you're planning on studying in this particular university then you should absolutely NOT even consider. Here are some reasons: Students are too geeky to establish a connection with. There are some cool professors, though for some of the others they might degrade or say some humiliating stories about how foreigners are behind every bad thing in the world (stealing jobs, stealing money and even creating illuminati :)) ...) Studies are so... Outdated. If you signed up for a foreign language, don't even bother you will study in Romanian . If you're investing the savings of your life in this university, simply don't! I'm sure you can find something much better if you keep looking.

One of the biggest universities in the country. It has lots of specializations but the teachers here are rather old, both as age and in their teaching. Investments are done and can be seen all around the campus. The atmosphere is given by the young students.

worst 4 years of my life. so called teachers see themselves as godlike figure. easy for them to just talk & u taking notes. exams that do not reflect the true knowledge, but rather focused on how much info you can store, and erase the second you get outta exam room. irrelevant courses. ignorant secretary ladies. please just don t

Proud student at one of the most important state-owned university in Romania. A technology-rich place filled with amanzing teachers and students. I love it in the spring where the entire university is full of freshly grown grass and trees

Spent 11 years for my studies. 3 different faculties. 3 degrees. Politehnica is the best technical university in Romania. There are plenty new laboratories for research and the subjects are updated to keep up with job market. But you need to learn. It's not easy to pass all exams. Very easy to get an entry-level job or internship once you graduate. Excellent volunteering opportunities for students and international experience due to Erasmus and Summer Schools. Highly recommended.

This review will only touch the campus part of the university, as a visitor. Great campus, with lots of trees and green spaces. It's basically a park. It has uphill and downhill. You can go for a walk, or go for a bicycle ride, or rollerblading. Place it's pretty big, however it lacks some benches (but again, it's a campus). Place is now opened, encourages Covid precaution measurements and social distancing.

My experience at the University was, overall, a very positive one. I gained a great deal of knowledge that has made it possible for me to progress toward my goals. Everyone is so supportive, easy to talk to and open for anything really.

Having Grigore Moisil on the same page (Notable Alumni) with Dragnea and Iliescu is not appropriate. Let's show some decency and respect for one of the greatest minds of our country (I am talking about Moisil!)

It was founded in 1818 as "Academic School for Philosophy, Mathematical Sciences and Surveying Engineers". Later the technical superior school was renamed few times, in 1864 as School of Bridges and Roads, Mines and Architecture (based on the older technical school of Gheorghe Lazar, from 1818), and the name "Politehnica" was introduced in 1920 when the university was renamed Polytechnic School of Bucharest. Politehnica University is classified by the Ministry of Education as an advanced research and education university. Teaching is conducted in Romanian and at the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages teaching is conducted in one of the languages: English, French and German.

😠 One star for the history behind it. Academic repution at international level: almost doesn't exist. QS Top University Ranking 2022: #1001-1200. THE(Times Higher Education) Ranking 2022: #1201+. Academic staff: low-skilled, nepotism at large scale, corruption. Administrative staff: low-skilled oldies...

😠 Unfortunately, the education system leaves much to be desired. Leaving aside the pre-clinical internships, where it is taught after slides made on the run, out of boredom, the clinical internships are carried out according to the corridor (the order of hospitals for clinical practice) "drawn by lot"...

👍👍 People say it has a bad reputation for being a private university.. But it's approved by the ministry and it has quite a lot of suucesful programs..
