Loved the flavor and generous portion. Flavor was on point and prices are reasonable. This place is huge and has plenty of seating for large parties. 1 large bowl should be enough. Usually not a fan of congee but don't pass up on this spot!

Nice location. Food is ok. Reasonable price. The chairs have no backrest so we can not sit long time.

When you arrive by Grab or similar taxi, you’ll be stopped by 3 security guards a couple of stores ahead of Thành Da in front of another duck porridge store. If you aren’t specifically looking, it is easy to end up eating at the wrong store as they look nearly identical. Thành Da’s porridge has mung beans in it which was a first for me. Adds an interesting texture element in otherwise textureless chao. Duck is tender and quite meaty which is a pleasant surprise as duck in many other places tends to be dry and ‘skinny’. Served with their ginger spiked dipping sauce, fresh chopped red chilis for spice, and a side salad. $200K VND for a dinner for 2 as you see in the photos. Not cheap for Vietnam but tasty!

This place is definitely an if you know, you know— type of place. Apparently my family has been coming back to this place for years, and I had the pleasure of trying it myself when I visited Vietnam this year. Let me tell you, this is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. At first, I was skeptical because what’s so special about duck congee? But after taking a bite of this meal, I was blown away. Something about the duck and nuoc mam combination is immaculate. The flavour of the two really complimented the congee. I dream about this meal every day and if you are in the area, you should definitely try it.

Come back to this restaurant after long period of time. Everything still perfect as it is. From the parking staffs to the waiters are all very friendly and alway appear to help whenever you need them. They have the best duck dishes that I ever tried in HCMC. The price of course a bit higher than some other duck meat restaurant but at acceptable level. All the dishes here are good. Car parking available opposite with the place with very helpful assistance of the staffs. Everything is perfect

Stopped by this restaurant to try their signature duck salad with congee. You can also pair it with glass noodles soup. The duck was tender, a perfect pair with ginger fish sauce and Vietnamese cabbage salad. The congee had a bit of duck smell and was more on the watery side. Service was very quick. There is indoor seating with AC if you prefer.

Yummy steamed duck, tender and juicy. They have a very simple menu, with base options like porridge, glass noddle and vermicelli.

We had a great experience with this restaurant. Tender and moisture duck meat. Soft duck blood cake and excellent dipping sauce. The service is great! They serve the food quick and hot.

Duck was great, not sure how they prepare it but no gamy flavor at all. I tried the congee and it tasted great. The salad was very refreshing and the fish sauce had a nice blend of salty/sweet/sour. The duck you get tasted fine, but definitely an acquired taste. Over all worthwhile trip to visit and taste the food here.

😠 It's a street full of pubs. That's about it. Blaring musics. Girls dancing on stage. Tourist. Not recommended. Too noisy. But what really put me off is the people... There can be up to 5 persons grabbing my arms my bags to lead me to their pubs. I have to constantly struggle to keep their hands off...

😠 They have tried the best to serve the best their chef can cook the Margarita Pizza, however either they do not know how to make pizza or making fool out of customers.
