Nice sunset view. Very expensive food. Very inefficient kitchen. $25 for a very small and average tasting pizza with not much on it, that took 1 hour to make. It wasn't even busy. Seriously, there were 2 others in the restaurant before us that had small orders. After 40mins the guy before me complained that his order was taking too long. Polite staff but really ridiculous to take an hour to make 1 pizza. There were 4 staff on. One making pizza ever so slowly while talking, one watching him and talking, one washing glasses and talking and the other standing at the till and talking. I won't be coming back and I'll be telling my friends not to go here either.

We had a few beers together and a great dinner at Piha Cafe with a friend! They have several local beers and kombucha on tap, as well as bottled drink options. They have a great coffee bar, and good options for brunch, if you prefer to go there earlier in the day. Our dinner was pretty fantastic! My wife had the risotto, which was prepared perfectly and flavorful, and I had the baked flounder dish served with veggies and hand cut chips. The flounder was flavorful, moist, and delicious! The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered our drinks at the counter, then they were quickly delivered to our table. Our entrees took about 20 minutes, since we were fairly early and the kitchen had just opened. The restaurant has free parking out front, indoor and outdoor seating, and even a charging station if you have an electric car! We were not disappointed at all, and will definitely return here for drinks and dinner soon! We also want to try out the brunch menu and coffee, too. They have pizzas on the menu, and available for carry out, also!!

It is a lovely place to go for breakfast and lunch, dinner. Service was good and didnt have to wait too long. Piha is right next to the cafe so u can walk aling our beautiful ocean beach. The road there, rhough windy is a beautiful drive. People are aloud to bring theirdods to the cafe as long as they sit outside in the closed in outside seating

Maybe it has been a good place to eat in the past. Staff very untrained and took more than an hour to get a coffee and a pizza. Sad to see nice places like this in these conditions. Hope they can get it all back together one day.

Great pizzas, awesome beer, unparalleled location, super friendly staff...stop reading and just go there. We visited last evening after the Mercer Loop walk. Super hungry, so opted for the chicken chipotle pizza... terrific crust, sauce & toppings (love coriander). Beer was much needed after the long hike. Our order for fries got delayed and we were a bit tied on time so the staff promptly refunded us. It's small acts like these that really stay with you and Piha Cafe sure did a great job. We would visit again for sure.

Friendly staff, easy to order, very nice food. Small carpark and parking across the street. Lovely eating area outside with a great view. Will go again next time I'm in Piha.

Good range of cabinet food, even late in the day (kitchen closes at 3pm) on a summer weekend day. Menu reasonably varied. V good coffee & some food local beers. Open, light, indoor & outdoor seating is comfortable & not too crowded. Lots of staff, friendly, prompt service. Food is a bit pricey, but it is well out of town.

I don’t usually review but felt compelled to because I’m right now eating probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of pizzas in a lot of different countries and places. Amazing!!!

It's a 50/50 for me. The burger I had was OK, Coffee was good as always, but nothing else springs to mind. Only wished for the most basics of things, like cutlery and sugar on the table and more staff presence. Still the best option for a bite.

We came here to walk our dogs. It was a pretty busy lunchtime at the café. We queued for about ten minutes and were told that all the food on their menu would take up to 40 minutes or more to be ready. To save time, we end up with the ready to serve food in the cabinet which wasn’t that bad though. Again, probably because they were too busy, their waitress could only say”I’ve really got no idea”when we want to know when our order would be ready. The café’s got a very good location and you can have a beach view when you sit at its outdoor area. There were a flock of sparrows flying around. It could be a bit annoying when they were flapping around the leftover on tables. Would like to come back and try the food on their menu.

Quaint little coffee shop and cafe with a nice view. More expensive than I would have hoped, but being remote, it makes sense. Decided instead on just a little carrot cake cupcake to tide me over since their choices of small bites wasn't the best (old looking pizza and $5.50/slice didn't seem worth it). This desert was good at least so I'm well content.

👍 Forgot to photograph the main, but all was delicious! You can pay extra to sit in the dome pictured - it costs $60 for dinner so we opted to just sit inside. Staff were friendly and attentive. The two or three course option is well priced if you are dining Sun- Thur.

👍👍 Titirangi again! The cafe is just right at the corner exceptional location. Coffee is good I enjoy it. Tried the lunch special, Red Wine Scotch Steak, not bad actually. $25.5 a bit pricey for a lunch but once in a while loving yourself isn't bad.
