Visited on a week day on a particularly nice spring day. Free to park and plenty of spaces, lots of dog walkers. Elevated position afforded nice views across the Black Country. A beautiful war memorial sits proudly on the site, nice peaceful and respectful. The walking route isn’t that long but a couple of circuits makes up some distance. Recommend if you want a quick easy walk with a nice view, a refreshing retreat away from urban life. Thumbs up 👍

Breathtaking panoramic view of our beautiful city, Birmingham. This is a place that I highly recommended during the day time. On clear days the views are amazing at day or at night. Would be a 5 star, the only thing that detracts is as it gets darker it attracts a lot of people coming to smoke in their cars. Still very much worth a visit on a sunny day.

A nice spot to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. However, it is frequently spoilt by boy racers and other undesirables. Being be highest point in the Midlands it has some nice views, particularly away from the main parking points.

Great for a winter walk, unfortunately paths are very churned up at present. Muddy.

  • 4/5 Michael M. 2 years ago on Google
Stunning view of the surrounding area, it's a truely beautiful site and worth a visit. Only reason it's not 5 star is it's attracts alot of younger crowd who likes to play music loud and smoke some wacky backy, unfortunately scramblers have are regularly there damaging the grounds.

Nice wide open space with plenty of parking. Great looking War memorial on the top which is nicely kept to remember the fallen. A few picnic benches for extending your stay to enjoy the views.

A lovely place to wander.... I was looking for a dark sky location for some astro photography and the monument here will make for a great composition. There were a few ice cream vans which weren't expensive which was nice. It seemed a popular with boy racers though :)

A fitting war memorial with a 360 panoramic view .

Safly the trees now obscure what was once a great viewing area. It should have been controlled more instead of being left to become overgrown.

Great views ..plenty of dog mess tho,a hang out for the local weed heads who can't use a bin. Speed bumps big enough to engage low range to get over. Great for plane spotting as it's on the approach to BHX.

Incredible spot FREE all welcome, especially if you are local. Simply drive in and park to explore around. Spectacular views, panoramic 360 almost. Shame about the punks, drug users, and disrespectful dirty scoundrels, leaving litter. They probably can't even read this. Just a warning to all good law abiding citizens. If you can ignore the mess left behind, or accasional tyre screeching thugs. Surely should be policed, or monitored. For us to enjoy, fabulous views. Stunning short walk will give you the best views ever. Check out what I managed to capture with a brief stopover. Dramatic, left me humbled & speechless at the splendour & beauty of our world. Love it share it respect it. 🙏

Nice location to watch sun set rise or sun set, being highest point in Birmingham area. Good dog walking around perimeter. On a clear day you can see several counties including Welsh border. Good parking but beware larger vehicles exiting at the bottom of a quite windy narrow road.

  • 5/5 Alistair T. 3 years ago on Google
Always good for a walk. May not be easy to access in snow/ice due to the entrance and exit roads being steep.

  • 4/5 Siddique H. 3 years ago on Google
A little disappointed that its not too high and not much to do there. The walks are minimal and not too taxing. Plenty of picnic benches and mud free trails. No toilets or other facilities anyway but plenty of free parking. Great views all round.

Went stargazing on Saturday, although it was a bit cloudy, it was fantastic. I highly recommend going there at night, on a clear sky.

This used to be a great place to go to relax and chill out in your car but the gate shut now in the evenings after sunset so you can't look at the cityview anymore. But it's still a really nice place to go for a walk in the daytime.

👍👍 A good park with play facilities, sculptures, basketball court and a bandstand. The pathways are all in good order - it's about 1km circular route. The outdoor gym facilities are also excellent - two areas and both in good condition (see photos).
