We were surprised by the very limited menu. We had Greek salad and chicken lemon rice soup. The salad was fresh and good and the soup, although a bit salty, very tasty. The restaurant was clean and staff efficient and friendly.

This is my favorite National. The service is always fast and the staff is always very pleasant. This location is huge and has a separate bar attached you can get beer or mixed drinks from. The restaurant / bathrooms are very clean and the food is fresh. They have a sign as you walk in asking people to show patience with their current staffing issues, but we didn't have any problem with speed of service during our visit. Will definitely be back.

We typically love National for the coneys and hanis, but I was really craving breakfast and got their french toast with strawberries. It was so good, amazing comfort food! But most of all I love the servers and their hospitality. You always feel welcomed and taken care of. It truly feels like a local joint where you feel at home.

Brought my kids here a few times now. Every time, we leave full and real happy. Each time we have had a different server and each time, THEY WERE GREAT! Kids and I were very happy with our food. It came out hot and quick... and tasted great.

Great place for the whole day. Our server Betty was fantastic. Reminded us of the great waitresses of the old days. Very kind and jovial. Food tasted great.

This was the first time since 2019 (due to the Pandemic) that this group of Retirees from a GM Staff got together. The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic for this gathering. The Coney dogs are good but the crispy chicken bacon salad is THE BEST. Ya gotta give it a try! The service was a little slow, with only one server to wait on 29 people but she did an admirable job under the circumstances. Everyone loved their food.

The National Coney Island on 121/2 Van Dyke is a nice place to eat. It has good food and some of the service is good too. The place isn't full all the time, so don't know why it took so long to get our food. The waitress was nice and plenty, but there was 1 waitress that was rude to us when we asked to warm up our apple pies. She stated that she warmed them up, but were cold, when asked to warm them up a little more her body attitude wasn't good and she had personally that she didn't want to be there? I like here and other restaurants we have been too.

Received great customer service from Megan, and the breakfast combo was tasty; crunchy bacon, perfect hash browns and over-medium eggs.

The staff was very nice and did a great job. The food was hot and good. Sadly, the restaurant was very cold, and the bathroom was filthy. I was very disappointed to see it so dirty since the rest of the restaurant didn't reflect that. It makes me wonder how the employees are able to wash their hands well if the doors, walls, stalls, and counters are so dirty. I hope someone does something about it.

Asked for well done fries got home fries were still frozen in the middle Haniel was dam near. Still frozen spent 1 week in hospital with major pain never will I ever go to this 1 again I think the employees were drunk from going in the bar

So National is mine and my boyfriend's favorite Coney Island! We've tried others and always just come back. This particular location does NOT disappoint! It doesn't matter what time of day or day of the week, busy or not. The food is so good every single time! Hot and fresh!! No matter what it is!!! Friendly staff and just an all around fantastic location! Stop by and you won't be disappointed!!

SARAH WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST WAITRESS IVE EVER HAD! I cannot express how professional, polite, friendly, and amazingly accommodating she was for my family! Her smile- man, it lit the room! You could definitely tell she LOVES her job so much! She deserves a raise and a promotion ♥️ no kidding! I bet she’d make an amazing manager with her problem solving skills, quick react time, and customer service knowledge! This girl gets a 10/10! Y’all should be grateful you have someone so awesome representing your company!

You have to try the Hana wraps! They are the best thing there! Also the rice puddin desert is to dye for!
