Me and my fiancé loved coming to this place but today we ordered our usual tacos and ceviche and they really disappointed us... tacos weren’t what they used to be. But eatable and the ceviche tasted horrible very watery and it did not taste fresh. we called and asked if we could possibly get another batch or our money back and we were told there was nothing they could do. I was very disappointed after coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and the costumer service being absolute garbage. It’s sad.

The service was fabulous I honestly can’t think of a time in my life i’ve gotten better tasting mexican food! It was SO GOOD. I recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!!! the spicy salsa in the red plastic bottle was perfectly spicy and tasteful and made my tongue BURN in a GREAT WAY!!!! the guacamole and homemade chips are so good! And the quesadillas with corn tortillas and lime are so gooddd. and the piña agua fresca was delicious and refreshing.

When I go out to eat, I don't want to be excluded because I'm not a local...I want what the same foods, drinks, free appetizer (seafood broth) etc as everyone else. The service wasn't very good, and all my food including my whole fried snapper was EXTREMELY Bland, No flavor, not even salt.... I've never in my entire life had Bland Mexican food. Honestly the ONLY delicious food that I had at this restaurant was the free seafood broth that I had to inquire and ask about and then request to have some too. My frozen margarita wasn't good either....waste of money. I won't return and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you very obviously blend in as a local....

Tacos and quesadillas I got were absolutely phenomenal!! Seriously top tier when it comes to real authentic Mexican food. So many different options on the menu and the good comes out pretty fast despite how busy it usually seems! My new go to pick up spot for Mexican/hispanic since I moved into the area.

This place is the worst for food. I have eaten at some decent Mexican restaurants in Waukegan but this place is something else. My date was very unhappy because of the reviews that this place scored a 4.1 overall. For some people this might be the best food u have eaten or u were just hungry overall. The point for me was there was no flavor in my tacos with avocado. Just terrible and i am not coming back

If I can rate them 0 I would! I Order a whole bunch of tacos and I Was missing 7. Called them to tell them right after I noticed it. The lady was nice but then minutes later Felix or Felipe called me back making a big deal over tacos that weren’t even that good. Apparently I had to count my tacos before I distribute them to my family. I wasted over $100 not $2. I would not waste my time nor money ordering from this restaurant. I would recommend El Paraiso or La Guadalajara.

The food is pretty good for a small Taqueria. I had ordered tacos de asada and they were really good, though I feel like the salsas they use could be a little spicier. The servers are also really nice! They were interacting in an inviting way and it didn't feel forced. I love the atmosphere this place has too, like a classic Mexican restaurant but mini! Overall this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to even though I've only been here fairly recently. I recommend.👍

Me and my husband were here yesterday and we ordered a few things food wasn't good at all nothing compared like the one used to be in lewis we were very disappointed when they served the food in paper plates but the worse experience was when we ask for the check the waitress came and she told me it was $74 dls and i ask for my receipt and she immediately went by the cashier and started scratching the check with a pen she looked at me like thinking she caught me. it looks kinda fishy because she came again and gave me the check i started making math and it was wrong it was only 52 dls plus taxes then i approached to her and i told her and she said oh I'm sorry i charged you 15 dls for the canned coke ..like really she knows what she was doing i know we all make mistakes but by the way she handled the situation seems like it wasn't the first time because since the beginning when she had the receipt with her she shouldn't have to go by the cashier maybe she thought i wasn't gonna ask for it she played dumb talking loud and telling to other waitress ooh i charged them 15 dls for a coke like pretending was the first time doing this so please always when you go to a restaurant ask for receipts I'm sure she do it to other customers because they don't ask for the receipts just an advice for everyone .

Goooooodddd Tacos! And Can't Forget About The Great Micheladas To Cure The Hangover. Don't Forget To Ask For Your Free Sample Of Caldito De Camaron (shrimp soup). Very Good Service, The Staff Is Always Smiling and Very Attentive To The Customer's Needs. Also Make Sure To Try The Shrimp Coctel.

Great place since the renovations. Very eye appealing, plates are expensive so be ready. Service was ok, more time talking to the chefs than checking on the customers. The food was ok we got the shrimp cocktail; it came in a small disposable plate for $15 and it tasted like clamato and ketchup very bland flavor. My wife and I use to go here all the time for them to. Also got the tacos. Great tacos but they are $4/each. Sad that they falling out as they were one of the original restaurants that still going in Waukegan.

No rice on the menu, no complimentary chips and salsa, food was very very bland and dry. Pricey for what you’re getting. Chicken looked like there was not a single drop of seasoning on it. Do not recommend

The food was good, a little under seasoned. The red sause was nice and spicy. The server was nice. I just spoke a little English

No better place for a hangover. Make sure you ask for the small bowl of shrimp soup. Its got a spice to it and will settle the stomach. Also their micheladas are amazing. Oh a big plus to this place is that they carry Bohemia beer, try it. Very small place with great flavor that hits all the staples of Mexican food.

Very generous portions and friendly customer service. The restaurant is quaint in size, very cozy but all the essentials are covered. The food was very well made, definitely recommend.

A very bad experience, I almost never do this but today I did feel very uncomfortable and angry. First they didn't have chips and salsa like in many places, I'm seven months pregnant and I was dying for a Horchata and they didn't have it!!! in a Mexican place? ¡wow! apart from the fact that the menu is super limited they do not think about the children, there is nothing for them and what bothered me the most is the fact that they served on paper plates this does not help the planet at all, we drove an hour and a half to be on the beach and we were hungry and finding this was horrible, I didn't eat, I don't recommend it, I didn't even try the food, my husband liked at least something good, the waitress was good but that doesn't change anything!

Paper plates?!?! Plastic silverware???!! I got the vegetarian burrito. I was supposed to come with lettuce tomatoe beans and sour cream. They left off the beans, it was drenched in sour cream and arrived cold. Salsa was SO bland!!! Won't go back! If my bill is over $100 I want a real plate and real silverware!

Way too expensive for OK Tacos . They had no rice or beans food was bland . Restaurant was nicely decorated. I would stay away from this restaurant . They are overcharging for everything Guagomole was $10 what a rip off . I wish we never found this place .

Great hole in the wall restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. Prices are reasonable and the food tastes great. The place is small so expect to wait for a table, take your food outside, or take it to go. Nice friendly staff who are attentive when you dine in. 10/10
