Do waste your money! I been going there for more then 7 years and now i won't be coming back. I thought i would give it a second try and it still the same. The food is nasty ( too dry). All the table are not clean, the waiter didn't give us our folk and spoon, we have to ask for it and when she did she went and grab dessert spoon for us only. Most table are full of dirty dish and all the waiter were just sitting and chatting. When u need them to take away your finished plate u will have to get up and ask. It getting supper dirty and all the staff are so unprofessional and lazy. Food were all over the floor. Kids were runibg around and grabing desert with their hand. Please don't waste your money if u want something good. I will not be going back. That place has been so nice and clean and the stuff were so nice and friendly, but not anymore.

The five stars is strictly for the staff who keeps this place afloat. My waitress Grace was the only waitress handling about 40 - 50 tables by herself. She did it with a smile while she bussed her own tables. Then to find out corporate does not provide them with vacuum cleaners. They have to sweep around customers or buy their own vacuum cleaner just floored me! Grace would not say one bad thing about the company but I am praying they get her some assistance or she finds an employer who will appreciate her. Grace made my day and assured I was taken care of. Food was above average for a buffet. If you are seeking a kid friendly environment where the family can pretty much have their hearts desires with moderate food selections this is the best place in the area. Update August 7, 2023 - The tables needed attention but excellent for a buffet in these timed and for the price.

Golden Corral is a fantastic family style restaurant masquerading as a buffet. The servers are friendly and the service is great. But what you really want to hear about is the food, right? The food is actually pretty tasty for a buffet. The variety is exceptional for the price no matter how much you eat, they just keep bringing more fresh food out. You’d think this would make for a messy environment, but you’d be wrong. The place is kept clean! No macaroni on these floors. Gather your family and go check them out.

Most Horrible experience, we will never come back! Cashier in front was suppose to give us utensils, our drinks and a red tray but do not. He told us instead our server will give it to us when we sit at our table. When we sat at our table, the server ignored us and did not introduce himself immediately. We sat for about 10 minutes and server never showed up. So we went to get our food and return to the table but the server didn't show up with our drinks and utensils. At this point we were very upset because we had no utensils to eat our food with. So we had to walk up to the cashier and ask him for our drinks and utensils. The cashier was who was on his phone seemed to be very upset when we interrupted him and asked him to get our utensils and drinks. Keep in mind, everyone else who paid after us got their drinks and utensils from the cashier. During the time we ate, the server only filled our drinks one time! Food was old and very bland. Food looked and taste like leftovers and reheated. Food was not refilled, just stirred into another pan to be served. Steaks we're previously cooked and reheated when requested. Very disappointed in this buffet. We use to come here alot but it's definitely going way down hill. 0 stars!! I had to give one star to post this experience.

As a local resident, I had high hopes for the Golden Corral, but I was extremely disappointed with my experience there. The restaurant was filthy, with dirty tables and a sticky floor, and the food was cold and tasted old. The service was appalling -- I waited over 30 minutes for my food, and no one seemed to care about my experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time or money at this establishment. But wait, there's more...The lady in the bakery was moving multiple food items around WITH NO GLOVES. UMMM, safety/health violation anyone? Can you say cross contamination? The kicker??? A mouse in the bathroom. A freaking mouse. I left. In would have told a manager but everyone, once again, had disappeared. Believe me, I'm calling the health inspector first thing in the morning. And yeah, I took pictures.

One thing that’ll always make me quick to patronize Golden Corral is the variety of selections and the kids never complain. Having two children with two very different appetites it’s hard to make sure everyone is accommodated and happy with the options they have available. Service at this location was a little shaky but nothing that would make me say I would never return.

The food and service has gone downhill over the last 5 or more years. I stopped coming here a couple years ago after some consistent bad experiences. I tried again a few days ago. The food was eh! Some things over cooked or you could tell was sitting way too long and a lot of trays sat empty. The bathrooms were disgusting and over the whole place could have been a little cleaner. My server was excellent this time though.

The “general” manager is so rude and very argumentative! I would not recommend. They are not accommodating and very hostile. There was a mix up with our food & price. We asked one question about the price difference and the manger told us “they are not charity case” like we didn’t have the money to pay, we just didn’t understand the price increase. Overall, If you want to have lovely dining experience buffer style GOLDEN CARROL IS NOT THE PLACE!

I Love Golden Corral , but on this visit the staff wasn't very friendly and seemed overwhelmed. When I inquired about tomatoes I was basically brush off and was told he has to ask if he should cut some up . When I asked to have my steak medium well , I was given well done and told it was medium well . I just accepted it being that I didn't want to argue about it , even though I knew it wasn't. Being that it's a family style restaurant the people there weren't expecting a large crowd ( on a Sunday ) .

Pretty much everything tasted old. All employees were more worried about there phones minus the salad bar prepper ans the dessert makers. I came in at 445 pm the soup was crusted over the food tasted old or expired. I love golden carrol always have but this one did not meet standards

I am not been here in many many years, a very happy a friend asked me to go, and was very pleased with the breakfast. The bacon was perfectly cook, scrambled eggs were really good. I typically do not like plain scrambled eggs, you know no cheese or garlic but these had a really good flavor.i didn't want to add anything. Also they have these little Waffle looking things, and with whipped cream and strawberry stuff on top it was so good! I was very impressed. What was most impressive was the customers service. The men and women employees were very polite and I overheard them talking to each other and they seem to really work well together. There's a couple of women in particular , that not only were pleasant and nice but you could tell that they took pride in their work and we're happy. The positive attitudes of the workers, spilled over to customers and sent good vibes through the atmosphere. I overheard two ladies interact with customers in jovial ways and it was just, really great customer service. I have a high standard of customer service I provide, and it's nice to see others with that passion and standard. Great Job Golden Corral Saturday morning staff!

Its fine. Staff is friendly, the place is kept as clean as you can expect a buffet. Saw a kid touching stuff and they took the tray back right away to replace it. Breakfast I think is the best line up, weekends at 8 to 11.

Last visit was last week and I probably will never return again. The workers were nice and tentative but the food was not as good as it was in the past visits. Also kids were picking up the food utensils and dropping them and trying to place them back for usage. I think places like this needs to have rules in place that children should not be allowed to go to the food bar alone. Thank goodness they refunded my money after only being there for less than 10 minutes

Went early morning for breakfast this past weekend and the bathrooms were filthy. It was 830am why are your women's room at that so nasty?? I didn't eat anything after that:( If i would have known before i would have probably left. I had my own sanitizer by the way. And one stall was locked that looked like a clean one and the staff probably did that. LOL but Really clean up your restaurant Bathrooms.

I went with a party of six for a birthday, and I'd give the experience a solid "average" all around, except for the lady who was taking care of the tables where we were at, who was very pleasant and quite the dedicated worker! Some of the benches look like they've been a cats scratching post with plenty of rips and tears and holes in it. As for the food, if generic had a taste, that is how I'd describe the majority of it. The one redeeming item is that their blueberry pie actually had a really nice flavor. Some empty items weren't refilled for the duration of our stay or were left extremely low as well. I will day they could probably afford more drink options if they didn't overfill each glass, easily wasting 2-3x the amount that would even fit. If you want a buffet and don't expect anything special, it's a decent option.

Had a wonderful lunch on Tuesday afternoon. Our server Jerry was friendly and quick with drink refills. My favorite dish by far was the roast beef. So tender and perfectly seasoned. Must be a holiday special, because I've never seen it offered before. Personally recommended by a member of management. FYI Waukesha Woodman's has a $2 coupon on the back of their receipts; valid only at this location.

We went here for Thanksgiving and had a great time with friends, but it was so busy and the people that were there, not with us, were complete ANIMALS!!! They were fighting. 2 women fighting physically and I had my 5 and 14-year-old boys with me. I was embarrassed for them. I wouldn't ever go back! But the server was great and tried to hold his own. Management tried as well, but they were not prepared at all lol. I usually don't write a bad review, but I figured this one needed put out there!

Super friendly waitresses on top of helping you keep your cup full, and your used plates gone. Not all dishes are super amazing (as with all buffets) but I highly recommend trying the "awesome pot roast" and the fried chicken. A plate of each of those is worth the cost alone. I wish I would have tried a steak but we were on a long road trip and I'm kinda shy and didn't want to bother the cooks behind the counter. Maybe next time. Highly recommend if you like nostalgic American buffet experience!!

We finally chose to take the opportunity to enjoy a buffet! After these many long months, it was a great relief to see that a dining experience like that, with multiple food choices in a kid-friendly environment, had not been lost through the pandemic! Their Covid protocols were top-notch and the staff made sure that you felt welcome and taken care of at all times! The food was quite tasty and plentiful and refreshed often. We will definitely go there again!

Went here after going to VA Hospital. The restaurant was clean. The fried chicken was raw and bloody at the bone. As usual since pandemic manager is doing multiple jobs since his help calls out and needs to get things done. But he still needs to make sure food prepared correctly so people do not get sick. Usually go to golden in Oshkosh, appleton, but they are not open probably for to help is issues as well.

I mean, it's a golden corral...so my ratings are compared to other Golden Corrals. Honestly, the steak is really good for a buffet place, I've seen people rave about burgers but I wasn't super impressed. Fried chicken is great, and there's a great selection. Everyone is friendly, it's clean, staff is helpful.

Rolanda the manager was absolutely a doll and had amazing customer service! The place was packed and it’s not the staffs fault but she made sure we had a table immediately and checked on everyone every 15 minutes or less. Because of her I had a really great experience!

Quiet friendly place with a wide assortment of dishes to try. First taste of fried white fish was not warm but did get in on the second batch. Fried white fish, hush puppies, mixed greens, pasta with sauce. Then had fresh spinach with salad fixings, baked chicken and dessert chocolate cake with white frosting and cherries poured over and two small peanut butter cookies. Waitstaff was pleasant, however, we'll stick with the one on Layton where the food turns over more quickly.

I liked the food. There was a lot of options to choose from. The restaurant.was clean and not very crowded. When I got there there was some small waiting before I could be seated but since my family and I had to wait the waiter behind the counter let us be seated without paying and sad w could pay at the table instead of waiting for the person who was suppose to take the payment.I was happy about this decision. There was no rushing to eat from the waiter who can around to collect the dirty dishes and ask us if we wanted more to drink. He was a very nice person. Overall I was pleased with the visit to Golden Corrals. Thank you for a remembered experience.

The food was good and they took good precautions for sanitation. They have sanitizer every where and gloves to wear while getting ur food. We went when they were changing from breakfast to lunch which meant we got to have both. 😋 The place was clean and the employees were friendly.

Need to have experience chef on payroll. Steak chef had no clue about the temperatures of different steaks smh. Golden Corral needs to change meal sometimes same food for years in the same spot.

I usually tip 50% at Golden Corral --- what with all the plate pickups and coffee refills, but today I had to fill my own coffee (from the get go) and my plates were only picked up once. They started to pile up. I speak a little Spanish... the waiter and the omelette & salad bar employee spent 5-10 minutes ordering their own breakfast and then the waiter put on his coat and left the restaurant to get it. He then fixes a drink and went back to the "drink" station and had breakfast. I tipped a dollar and it was too much. Sure I'll be back but the gratuity will only reflect the service provided.

It was awesome of them to be open Thanksgiving! Food was great, it was busy when we arrived so I can understand why we didn't get refills on our drinks till we were done eating, but like I said, it was understandable. I would go again

The salad bar alone is the best in town. But we always enjoy having a great selection of sliced roast beef, baked or fried fish, pulled pork, various kinds of chicken and all kinds of favorites. Good dessert selection too, topped off with soft serve ice cream. The staff do a fine job and are very friendly. Use a coupon from the back of a Woodman's receipt and get $2 off. For $15 per person all-you-can-eat, it's an affordable favorite of ours.

A big Sunday breakfast is a staple in our household when family is together, but it is a treat for me to not to do all the cooking and cleanup. Three generations of morning favorites and tastes make for a pleasing all at once meal with no dish washing for me! All basic breakfast items were excellent. Variety and quality, along with added toppings and sauces made for a fun Sunday morning.

  • 3/5 Jacob H. 1 year ago on Google
Fairly good selection. And the food was pretty good. They boast that all the salads are fresh and they have a person nonstop chopping. They even have a side party room as well. Price was super reasonable, went for lunch on a weekday. Bathrooms were falling apart and pretty gross.

I was so disappointed with our visit tonight. I'm not sure if they were short staffed, but plates and soup cups weren't stocked. A lot of the food was either empty or almost empty and was burnt from sitting too long. The ice cream machine was broken, and so many desserts were out. No one was refilling anything. Tables were filled with dishes, and there was a lot of garbage on the floor like napkins, straw wrappers, and food. We were there around 5:15pm and there were people, but it wasn't packed.

  • 3/5 Christopher H. 10 months ago on Google
Our family rented the back room for after a funeral. The server was super nice and had silverware ready for us once we got there. The manager did a head count then it was time to eat. Most of the food wasn't labeled. Some of the food u could tell had been there for awhile. So we all waited til fresh food was brought out. Not alot of vegetarian options. They have a salad bar but you can only eat so much of that. Kids were getting food with their bare hands. Some of the workers had on gloves. With such a big party we had to wait for drinks. I wish this place was like it used to be.

Food was fresh and hot. Service was good. Side note...we were there early and no toilet paper in one of the stalls. These should be checked multiple times a day. And the restrooms could be alot cleaner....need updates!!!!

Hadn't been here in a very long time. Decided to take a very dear friend here. The two people at front counter very nice & pleasant. Wasn't busy & quit a few of the tables very messy. We were there for at least half hour & our server didn't come around until after that. The meat sections weren't filled up & had to wait quit awhile. For what I paid I was disappointed. I like vegetables, but that wasn't all I wanted. Will not be returning.

My husband and I arrived around 8:55 a.m. By the time someone came to check us in and take our money, it was 9:01, at which point we were told that we had just missed the early bird special, which would have saved us several dollars each. The food that should have been hot was warm at best. Our server took a very long time between visits to get us coffee and never did ask how our food was. Blueberry pie was quite poor. Definitely not what we were used to!

I don't go eat buffet very often but when I do I am picky. So I decided to give this location a try and it didn't disappointed me. Upon arrival, parking was a breeze. I went during the morning which is breakfast time and it wasn't costly. I notice while getting food is that the employees work as a unit. I also notice that the boss was even helping out for example cleaning up trash. I gave me a very nice vibe especially the waiter. She was very nice and on point. Yes I did leave a tip! The food overall was great nothing dry. By the time I was done eating I enjoyed the service and the time being there. I do recommend this location if you haven't tried it yet. I will be coming back even though I am 20 mins away sadly. I hope this review help you deciding whether on going or not. Thanks for reading my review. Peace ✌️
