This place is really great. Second time I went here, found it by accident while exploring the area. The steak (ossenhaas) tenderloin is amazing. They serve it in a little cast iron pan with melted butter, mushrooms and a charlotte onion. Truly in perfect balance with each other. The staff is very friendly and highly skilled. Aaltje has plenty of outdoor seating, same as indoor. They area is very nice to explore and Aaltje is located next to the canal. Highly recommend to come here for snack, drinks, lunch or dinner! Enjoy!

Nice place, but the staff is not too friendly (certainly not the lady with glasses) and even if it is someone's birthday, 0.00 hours are not met, let alone the 1.00 hours as stated on the website.

A bit out of the way, but quite amazing. Best food I've had in the Netherlands.

A fantastic place to have a special family dinner out, or celebrate the end of the work week with friends. The staff is great, and attentive. The food is excellent here - classic old home cooked meals. Make it your regular stop when you are in town!!

Very nice restaurant. Great food, great personnel in a well designed restaurant. Really gives an authentic feeling. The woman who served us must be the best service I ever received. Never seen someone being so enthousiastic but not too enthousiastic. Very nice location too. If it is warm joy to enjoy a dinner on their terrace.

Good food for the more responsive guest and nice service. Toilets were clean. There are enough paid parking spaces in the area.

We ate various dishes and desserts with 5 people. Everything was very tasty, compliments to the chef. Dishes were all very tasty and exceptionally tasteful. Probably the best restaurant in Holland so far for us (we tried a few). Very nice and fast service. We will definitely come back when we are in Weesp.

Such a nice place, we use to take guests from abroad to have good Dutch dinner here!

Had a good filet mignon. The only down side was that the waitress telling us that they wanted to close earlier, whilst they should be open till late according opening hours. This is due to less busy evening than normal, but still not really costumer friendly. Felt like being rushed.

I cant find anything negative about this place and the people that are working there. The atmosphere is very nice. its big inside but it feels cosy. The staff is amazing. They notice you when you come in, are very polite, are quick with serving the food and take time for a little chat eventhough it can be busy. We celebrated my boyfriends birthday there so the staff arranged some small fireworks and sang him the birthday-song. There were 3 other men who celebrated their birthday there as as well that evening and they did the same for all of them. THE FOOD: the menu is small (which I like). It has traditional Dutch food and there is a choice of fish/meat/vegetarian. All Fingerlicking-good. As a desert I would suggest the cake with the warm/melted chocolate in it or the truffel with a cup of coffee. We ate here a couple of times and we have never been dissapointed. When friends from abroad visit us, we always bring them there and so far they all loved the place and the food too. Thumbs up. Go Aaltje. Go Weesp.

Delicious dinner with my wife in this Bistro restaurant in Weesp. Great buzz of a full dining room, but still able to have good conversation. And good service, even though the kitchen was clearly very busy. The menu offers lots of interesting choices at reasonable prices. Friendly and accurate service by our wait-person. All in all, an excellent evening.

Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff even under the pressure of having to serve dinner to everyone before 20:00. There could have been a wider choice of vegetarian dishes. I went for the venison which was excellent as was the warm chocolate cake for dessert. One can choose a side to have with the main course. A "plain" mashed/creamed potato would have been nice as would have a side of seasonal vegetables. We had a wonderful meal!

As long as we come to Aaltje, we always get a good welcome, good atmosphere and good food. My husband doesn't want to eat anywhere else. The service is always friendly and correct. Keep it like that!
