Smoky J is a very good option to eat ribs in Aruba. They have many options for customers to choose from. The food is good. I particularly go every once in a while because is very busy. I would suggest scheduling to go early and in small parties to make sure the tables are available faster. Of course you can find local beers and enjoy with the ribs.

Staff was very friendly, location is great for people watching. Jamaican Jerk Chicken was great. Pulled pork was not up to our standards, mainly due to the very fine, small, almost blended texture as opposed to hand pulled as we're accustomed to.

The ribs are good but should not be confused with barbeque. They are grilled and either sauced or covered with dry rub. The Dutch potatoes are awesome. Nice atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly.

Went for early dinner with 2 teenagers. We split the loaded fries and they were a hit. I got the ribs and wing combo and opted for Buffalo sauce which to my surprise had very little flavor. The extra hot papaya sauce on the table saved the day and was fantastic on the wings. The ribs were very tender but needed more sauce. The "best burger ever" was a good size but did not live up to its name. Not bad but lacking flavor. The shrimp skewers and coleslaw got a thumbs up. Overall good experience and would go back.

The experience is always outstanding! We had Alex and he was a lot of fun!! Super friendly and great sense of humour. The staff are always great here. The various sheik dishes were superb and the drinks, on point. The only thing that was not so great was the wings - tasted a little dry and like they had been sitting for a while before they got to the table, I’d guesstimate at least 5-10 minutes. The only other thing was that as the night went on we had to wait longer and longer for things like a beer, or the entrees. Really terrific atmosphere and certainly would recommend visiting.

We had the dry rub rib and burger. Both are so so, probably my least fav in Aruba. The rib is a bit dry inside, the coleslaw has way too much sauce. The potatoes are greasy.. the burger is big, but tastes so so as well, the best part is it’s well-fried French fries.

Food was great. Had the ribs, steak, and red snapper. Strongly recommend ribs and red snapper, both were really, really good. Prices and portions are very, very reasonable. Wouldn’t hesitate going back. It was one of my favorite restaurants in Aruba.

Excellent service and excellent food! Prices are affordable. Place gets packed so get there early. Tables and decor is pretty cute and relaxed. Servers are attentive and they keep your glasses refilled. Food as delish. They truly give justice to the one happy island vibe!!! We recommend!!!!

Ooowee! The jerk chicken wings paired with the pink iguana was a hit! If you’re a “colada” head like myself, this is the perfect drink! It was delicious!! Couldn’t go to this beautiful island and not try the jerk wings either. The fried Mac and cheese balls were also really good! No complaints at all! Go check them out!

Our food was good and portions I thought were very good sized for the money and you could easily share the meals. My husband ordered the ribs he thought they were pretty good. I also tried my husbands ribs I thought they were good, light sauce that I liked and the meat came off the bone and very nice and tender. I ordered the jerk chicken being one of favorite things to order since I grew up eating jerk chicken. Sauce was a little different but still very delicious. We both ordered rice and beans the rice is just plain white rice no seasoning to it that I didn’t like but the beans were yummy and had a great seasoning to them. We also each got a nice salad that was okay. We ordered the fried onion appetizer that has a sauce that was delicious I would definitely get it again. I also tried the restaurant house fries with onions on them I was not a huge fan of them and wouldn’t get them again they are a soft sliced potato. Overall we thought it was a okay bbq place and we would maybe go here again.

Ordered the ribs our first visit there, which were amazing, and then went back 2 days later for all you can eat rib Tuesday. Nicest servers on the island. It's an outdoor patio, so it can be hot. Highly recommend.

We had seafood most of the trip, so we wanted something different. Their ribs were delicious! Decent prices as well. We got an appetizer then split a rib dinner. Loved the outdoor seating area. No wait in the busy area.

Let’s get the easy stuff out of the way. This should be SIX stars. I have been in an all inclusive hotel for 0 nights and this was hands down the best meal I have had so far. The food was amazing, the service fantastic and I was needing a wheelchair when I left, I was that stuffed. A true gem on the island. Well done to the team.

Love it! Love it! Love it! I almost gave it four stars, because of the water with a lime slice ,didn’t really like it🤔 But seriously the food was great and their bbq sauce was 😋. I had the chicken and ribs combo -WARNING- bring your appetite your going to need it. (see pic😋) I am definitely going again when I get to back Aruba (hopefully soon 😁)And the outdoor dining just adds too the experience.👍🏽

There was a lot of hype surrounding this place and I was honestly disappointed. While the calamari strips were good, and my wife's chicken caesar salad was surprisingly delicious, the Paradise Burger I got was quite underwhelming and flavorless. I did try some Mahi Mahi and Red Grouper fish from other people in our group, and they were delicious, but their prices were simply too high for me to have purchased. Speaking of high prices, I was hoping to share a meal with my wife to save money, but Smokey Joe's charges you $6.50 if you share a meal with someone. To me, that is utterly ridiculous. I will not be coming back here if I ever visit Aruba again, but if you do go, I would suggest you be prepared to spend a little extra and get the fish meal. Do not get the burger.

First time eating at this restaurant. I must say the food was delicious. On Tuesdays they have all you can eat ribs and they are by far the best ribs I have ever eaten. The BBQ sauce that they make on site is fanatic. Also the shrimps were so good. This is the place to eat for all meat lovers.

This place is always packed for a reason! Awesome service. The ribs are to die for. I'm allergic to smoked sauces and the fact that there are options and the ribs are grilled is like unheard of for me. I'm in the states so everything is smoked. The chicken rib and french fries combo was just too good. One of my favorite spots in Aruba! I will be coming back just for the food soon enough!

Short wait time. When we were seated, our food assistant was helpful with giving his opinion on which options were good to try which made our experience very easy. When our food arrived I realized I made a foul up by ordering the home fries. But King Lemonade asked for the regular fries for the save! The meat was falling off the bone, the coleslaw was delicious and the atmosphere was just right. People just out to have a wonderful time and enjoy the evening. Definitely a must try while you're out in Aruba. @according2teau 👽🦄

Drinks were delicious. Our server Francisco was really cool. Food I would give a 8.5. We had the Mac and Cheese Balls( I forgot to take a photo until there was half left, sorry). Bon Bon Shrimp nice lil kick, half ribs with home fries and coleslaw and half ribs with jerk chicken wings home fries with rice and beans. And finished with the delicious fried Oreo and ice cream.....

This place was slammed at dinner time (around 7:30) but the waitstaff and (lone) bartender never stopped hustling. We had to wait a while for our food but didn't mind at all because the staff here clearly were moving as fast as humanly possible. Hope the owners know how great their staff are and is compensating appropriately. For the food, I had the coconut shrimp plate which was good overall but some of the shrimp probably spent a bit too long in the deep frier. Portions were very generous. Atmosphere was nice, they only offer outdoor seating. My only gripe is that the 2 person tables are really small. It was like a balancing act to see how to maneuver everything so things fit / don't fall off. Would recommend Smokey Joe's to anyone looking for a casual eat at decent prices.

The pictures are a little deceiving. The salad that come with the grill fish is spoiled. I had to spit it out then rush back to the hotel for bathroom right after the meal. My son did finish big portion of his ribs four style. So you decide for yourself. It’s overrated in my opinion. I won’t be back

The calimari rings were good. The fire cracker shirmp wraps weren't crispy enough. The ribs were cooked well but the sauces lacked any real flavour. It seemed that the suaces were added on well after the ribs were cooked and not basted during the slow cook. Service was quick and friendly. The cocktails were good.

Excellent restaurant. Wonderful Server (Aurora L) and Staff. Delicious food. Opens @ 5pm. Between 5 and 6. Usually you can get a table. After 6. Fills up fast. I had the spicey Bon Bon Shrimp (Appetizer), Fish (grouper) and Chips (fries). They have an excellent Cole Slaw . Aruba Ariba (Signature cocktail of Aruba), great cocktail as well as their Key Lime Pie, for dessert. Establishment doesn't levy a service charge (unless a party of 7 or more) as do most restaurants in Aruba, so tip nicely, if the food and service warrants it. Cash or credit. They do have music not live, outdoor seating. Caribbean decor.

I really enjoyed Smokey joes, I happen to come upon this place by chance and couldn’t decide what to eat so we just figured we would give it a try and I’m glad we did! The portions are INSANE! I had the jerk chicken, my husband had the ribs. Everything was so good and tasty, My only regret was that I couldn’t finish the entire meal. If your in the area and can’t decided and what to eat give it a try you won’t be disappointed !

Seated party of 10 without reservation immediately however COVID required 2 tables. Service was very good as was the food. Ribs were OK but personal preference is less saucy so....Firecracker shrimp were very tasty. Smokey Joe burger with a pound of meat (beef and pulled pork) was very good.

OUTSTANDING food, very affordably priced for what you get!!! The staff went out of their way (both times we ate here) to make sure we had the perfect meal. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I'll keep coming back time after time. The coconut shrimp are some of the best I have ever had. The pulled pork is perfect. The ribs are so tender and juicy. NO COMPLAINTS.
