What an amazing experience! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We were surprised on how easy we were able to communicate with the staff. We used a mix of english and Thai (with the help of Google translate) and they were able to answer all of our questions and even crack a few jokes! The food here is next level, amazing, crazy delicious. We ordered the Chicken Khao Soy, the Shrimp Khao Soy, and the Pork Nam Ngeaw. Each one was utterly fantastic. However, my favourite had to be the chicken dish. Creamy, homey, and satisfying! The staff make the dish right in front of you!!!! I’m not joking when I say you NEED to try this place! The khao soi was not rich, the chicken meat was hard, the seller didn't seem willing to sell at all and spoke badly. The curry kao soi is so-so, chicken meat is a bit hard, no service mind at all. Not recommend !

Eaten here many times going back years. Good place for inexpensive and reliably tasty khao soi and nam ngiao, at 40 thb for a small bowl. Order one of each if you have a big appetite, or ask for the large size. Iced coffee and thai tea are 15 thb but FYI you can't order these without sugar, as they're pre-mixed. Servers are not friendly or unfriendly, they just bring food and take money. Food is typically on the table two minutes after you order. Nothing fancy going on here, just good food on the table.

Love the khao soi here! We tried the chicken and shrimp and both were delicious, perfect level of spiciness. The grilled pork was good too. The waitress came to our table fast and took our order. The food came out 5 min later. Awesome place!

By far the best khao soi I have ever eaten. Very simple, local and cheap eatery but not to be missed at lunch time when staying in Chiang Rai. You may not pay attention to the rude staff, it's still a Thai food dream!

Khao soi is a signature dish from the north. This restaurant is very famous for local people, but the taste was not strong for me. The soup was quite light and not too much curry taste like the color.

Our first Khao Soi spot upon traveling to Northern Thailand. We went there 3-4 times within a week of staying in Chiang Rai. The Khao Soi was delicious. On our last visit to the restaurant, my gf went up to pay, and the lady snatched the money from her hand in a very rude way and did not say “thank you” or anything. This small event really made us bummed, as we had been starting to call the place “our Khao Soi spot”. So I guess the moral of the story is- go there for delicious Khao Soi for 40THB per bowl, but don’t interact with the staff more than you have to. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Delicious curry noodles, the rich coconut milk curry goes perfectly with the crispy noodles

This shop serves Thai north noodle style (khaw Soi). Cleanliness is OK. Taste is good. They have chicken, pork and shrimp noodles. Can park car in front off shop.

This was my first visit as I was on my way to rent a bike. It seems to be a famous store, but it felt normal. I ordered kanomcheen namgyo, but The essential dokugyo is not included!? It seems like the store I go to has closed, so I can't help it, but I don't like the Namgyo that doesn't have Dokugyo in it ✘ I don't eat there often, but it seems to be famous for its Khao Soi, so I plan to come back and try it.

Come read the review later. If you read it first, it won't come at all. I agree with this comment. “The chicken khao soi is hard. The seller didn't seem willing to sell at all and spoke badly. If you're hungry, come see this. The deliciousness has disappeared. I do not recommend it.

Local eatery serving breakfast and lunch, family run, fast, cheap and efficient, food and noodles were great, we went for late lunch and was pretty much empty, but can be very busy during rush hour

Good food even if you will forget it the day after, because it's the same of thousands of restaurants like this in the north of Thailand. At least prices are fair. Service and location are more than simple.

The chicken Khao Soi here is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Flavorful without being too rich or heavy. An absolute must try. So good we ate here twice on our trip!

My experience with the northern-style khao soi at this establishment was unfortunately not up to par. While the flavors of the dish were decent, the overall atmosphere and service left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the place could be improved, and the atmosphere was just fair, lacking the cozy ambiance one might seek for a relaxed meal. In terms of service, there's room for improvement in attentiveness and efficiency. Despite these drawbacks, the khao soi itself showcased some authentic northern flavors. With a bit of attention to cleanliness and service, this place could elevate its dining experience and better highlight the deliciousness of its traditional dishes.

Fantastic Khao Soi from a local restaurant. These woman are working hard day in and day out and you can taste it in the meal. We have been back to their spot many times, even as a pre dinner snack. Would recommend to anyone visiting Chiang Rai.

We were on our way to another restaurant when we passed by por jai. The Khao soy looked good so we decided to give it a try. We order the khao soy chiken and tge Khao shrimps. They were the best we had so far. It was spicy and served with lime and fried salted onion. If your ic downtown chiang rai. I recommend you to stop by for a quick bite.

Quick eating with a unique taste 😋. The broth is lite, yet has a has a good amount of flavor. this meal won’t take long, anticipate to be in and out in under 30 minutes. P.S. This location is very close to the clock tower.

I love this place, very authentic Northern Thai food, famous for their Khao Soi and Nam Negow, Nam Prik Ong, Sai Oua sausage and other Northern Thai delicacies. Since I ate here quite a lot during my stay in Chiang Rao I got to know the owner and staff so was treated like a local. The owner is related to the famous White Temple artist, so a number of his paintings are on the walls.

Maybe one of the best khao soy I've ever had. The chicken is really good and broth is amazing. Super cheap too only 40thb per bowl.
