This is my favorite restaurant in Thailand. The Penang curry is out of this world — cannot be missed. The owners are so kind and the 2nd floor dining is a sweet atmosphere. We went here four times during our visit and were impressed with the whole menu! Also don’t miss the Penang curry pizza — wow! Visiting from USA 🇺🇸

What really makes this place outstanding is the friendliness and hospitality of the people running the place. The food itself I'd rate 4 stars for the most part. It's not a total WOW, and some of it is a bit of a miss, but some are very good. Much better than the average tourist restaurant that you find on many places of the island—had a few Thai friends with us and they liked the food too, and thought it was fairly priced for the location. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood. I will come again.

A very warm welcome awaits at you Lae Lay Restaurant. Its elevated position provides a cool respite from the heat as well as giving partial views of the sea and a position from where you can watch the comings and going’s of daily life in the street below. It is also fun to watch the busy open kitchen. Staff are so smiley, friendly and polite. Kuhn Bun the owner runs a very tight ship and Kuhn Dollar’s megawatt smile can brighten the darkest of January days! The food is nothing short of excellent. We made it our mission to work our way through the entire menu and what a mission to have. Everything we ordered was excellent and they will happily adapt traditionally spicy dishes to any strength you wish. The pad Thai is one of the best we’ve ever had. The curries are delicious. Highlights for us: every curry on the menu, the shakes (esp the Thai strong coffee frappe), pad Thai, calamari, chips, papaya salad, satay chicken, chicken cashew nut - basically you will not be disappointed with anything you order. Presentation is also always excellent and the photos on the menu do not do the food justice. It was definitely a highlight of our holiday trip. We spent a month in Ao Yon and think we ate here at least 20 times. We are very sad to leave and really hope we get to return.

Yummy food. We tried their papaya salad with fried chicken and sticky rice, which is my favorite. Mixture of textures n sweet, sour, salty and spicy! Everything all at once! Pineapple fried rice was pretty good tho may need a bit seasoning on the chicken pieces. Their pad Thai was pretty good tho I find it a bit sweet. Overall, staff are friendly and accommodating. Pleasant experience. Got bitten by insect twice I was there, do put some repellent around this area.

We love coming here. The food is AMAZING and the service is awesome! I’m vegetarian and they are always helping me finding options for me and they are super kid friendly! We totally recommend it.

Wow! I came here based on the Google reviews and it did not disappoint! The fried fish was our favorite dish of the night. Service was great and everything was so delicious. One of our favorite meals of our trip!

Followed by reviews we chose this place for dinner. And we were so much satisfied with the service and food! Portions were big, everything was tasty! We enjoyed the terrace, kindness of the staff and home atmosphere.

Friendly staff. Glass noodle seafood salad was delicious and spicy…. Good to have watermelon drink to counter the heat! Tom Kha soup was absolutely wonderful!

One of THE BEST food spots in Phuket. You’re gonna be served with authentic Thai dishes (few pictures attached). Everything is tasty and just on point. Service is phenomenal and very attentive! We even were able to get the tasty Butterfly juice to go. Overall hardly recommended!

Don’t miss this place if you’re staying in the area!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming they make you feel at home and the food is divine! We ordered pineapple fried rice, fried calamari and a mango strawberry smoothie.
