We drove ~45 minutes to this shop based on the reviews and it lived up to the hype - fantastic experience! They were very accommodating to our young daughter, who had specific expectations. When she didn't see exactly what she wanted in the shop, they helped her create her dream bracelet from the various components, including a mabe heart-shaped black pearl. They then hand-made it for her. The tour was very informative and the shop was lovely. Fantastic experience and the surrounding beach is peaceful and beautiful as well. Highly recommended!

Spending time at the pearl farm&shop was an amazing experience for us! We didn't think we would stay such a long time but Tom and his family made us feel extremely welcome. The tour was informative and given that it wasn't rushed we could ask as many questions as possible. The shop showcased beautiful and unique jewellery pieces. I saw many innovative designs including the necklace my boyfriend purchased for me. The necklace is adjustable so the pearl heart can become a longer or shorter pendant depending on liking. I find the different shapes of pearls such as drop and heart in different colours fascinating. Also I've never seen a black pearl before. The whole family was taking care of us not only by providing us with information but also drinks given the high temperatures. We ended the day by going to a nearby restaurant Tom recommended to us. Overall it was an amazing experience we won't forget and we hope to stay in touch with Tom! He is very dedicated to all his customers and a lovely and intelligent person to be around. His dad started the family business 50 years ago and self-taught himself the whole process. Despite all difficulties along the way he was able to preserve the uniqueness which so many businesses and shops miss nowadays. We wish the family all the success and highly recommend their services to everyone!

The hosts showed us the farm and disclosed some fascinating details of the pearl business. All the family members know everything about pearls and gave valuable recommendations on how to take care of pearl jewelry. The choice of pearls is quite extensive with a wide range of colors and sizes of pearls. We bought a wonderful pendant and a bracelet. And we will definitely come back for amazing pearls. What a fabulous experience. Love this family owned pearl farm and shop it was founded in 1973. I customized my own design and it was beautiful above my imagination. The family was very educational. We enjoyed learning the step-by-step process of growing pearls. Wonderful all around experience would definitely recommend..

Simply the best experience we had in Thailand!!! We came around 8pm wondering if they will even have time for us but we got the whole package! The presentation of making pearls, the nicest chat and after buying pearls we even got gifts for my whole family!!! ♥️♥️♥️ The prices are great (when you know that these are real pearls, not some china fakes..) and the owner and family were so nice that I will return next time just to visit them 😊 I am so glad that at least one place i Phuket still resembles the iconic Thai name; Land of smiles!!! If you are anywhere near, this is A MUST STOP!!!!

We've been to UNG Pearl Farm in November, and we bought some pearls for us and for our family, which then became amazing Christmas Gifts! The quality of the pearls is outstanding: so many sizes, shapes and colours - I've never seen rainbow pearls before! Yet the best is not the pearls (which were amazing nevertheless), rather the people there. The UNG Family took extensive time to educate us on pearl making, and we also got to know each other quite a bit! They made us feel welcomed and they even suggested a very good restaurant nearby! It's always nice to find a pearl like this place and so we'd absolutely recommend a visit to the shop and the amazing pearls!

A cute little shop with a long history of pearl farming. Beautiful pearls in all sorts of fascinating colors, including black. Bracelets, necklaces and ear rings of all kinds. The owner family is very hospitable and were patient and giving advice as we selected the products we wanted.

Very nice owners, they gave us good discounts and gifts when buying (gave us a small bracelet and a mother-of-pearl spoon). This is a great family-owned pearl farm business! The family running this business is very friendly and will give you a tour of the farm for free! Their pearl jewelleries are very unique and one of a kind since it's handcrafted themselves. They can customise your pearl jewellery per your preference in about 2 hours time. And since there is also a beautiful beach beside the farm you can have fun at the beach waiting for your pearl jewellery to be customised! Do support this family owned business!

What a truly lovely experience by a family who are so passionate about their trade.  It is authentic, the range extensive, and they will custom make pieces for you. You choose the braid colours, pearls, spacers and you have a very special piece, or you can buy off the shelf.  They are hard working, honest passionate people and it far out weights the glitzy bright light stores. You see the raw product, how it is grown and harvested and how the business had to start again from scratch after the tsunami.  Do visit, the owners are so lovely, welcoming and friendly and after 50 years know everything about pearls, we will return and highly recommend to all. I’ve visited UNG farm and shop and was welcomed not less as a family member. Tom did a wonderful tour, explained all you ever wanted to know about pearls and their production. His father was so nice to give us a live demo of how they handle oysters. In addition their store has huge variety of pearl jewelry. A definite must do in Phuket!

We stumbled on the UNG Pearl Farm by accident having walked from Cape Panwa - mad dogs and Englishmen out in the midday sun!! We are so glad we did, wonderful to see a family business offering personal service. We were given an excellent guide as to how the oysters and pearls are grown and then excellent service in the showroom, necklace made to measure and free gifts included - thank you. The brothers speak excellent English and were very patient. I highly recommend a visit to the UNG Pearl Farm if staying in the Phuket region. To top it all off a lift back to our hotel - what fantastic service!!

I was lucky to stumble across the store while walking on the beach. I was immediately welcomed by the kind owners. On the first day I was served by the owners son who introduced me to the process of making pearls. He answered all my questions and showed me different styles until I was happy with a pair of pearl earrings- they were so beautiful that I wanted to buy a pair for my mom. As they didn’t have any left to resemble the ones I liked, the owner very thoughtfully asked me to come back the next day as she will oversee to create a similar pair. She asked me to leave the original earrings with her so she can get them to be identical- I was impressed by the customer service and attention to detail. Needless to say, I am overjoyed with my purchase and I know my mom will be as well. If you want a special, and good quality present of your trip to Phuket I’d highly recommend this store!

If you are thinking of buying pearls in Thailand you must visit this wonderful shop before you spend money elsewhere. I had already written one review for UNG Pearl Farm but my wife and I recently went back to purchase gifts for friends and family and had such a great experience I wanted to write another. As I said in my first review, I have been visiting or living in Thailand for almost 20 years and have bought all sorts of things in that time. But no other purchasing experience has been as pleasant as here. The family who owns the farm and shop are such lovely, genuine people. There is no pressure to buy, they just want to give you the product you'll be happy with. If you are concerned about the quality don't be. We had our first purchase, (a full necklace with 7.5 millimetre pearls), evaluated by an Australian jeweler for insurance purposes. Their comment was that the lustre, colour and surface quality were excellent, with very good nacre (thickness). Although the pearls were not perfectly round, they were classed as "near round" and were very uniform in shape. Overall the pearls were of a very high quality and the price we paid was extremely good value-for-money. Our second visit was to buy earrings for friends and also have some costume pieces made. Once again the owners were so patient, explaining all the various options and making excellent recommendations. Theses pearls were also of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. If I could give six stars to UNG Pearls I would definitely do so and cannot recommend highly enough.
