I enjoyed my shaved ice and my experience generally very much. More importantly though, I have a tremendous degree of respect for business owners who are able to listen to suggestions from their customers, among others. In the end, it is their business, and they can choose to give those suggestions further consideration, or not, but listening is key. You can't grow without changing, and you can't change without ideas for improvement, whether they're coming from yourself, a consultant, or a customer. This business owner is going far! Looking forward to further expansion.

Tons of fun flavors of shaved ice for the adult who wants to partake in an ice cold boozy beverage and the young (and young at heart) who want a delicious shaved ice. Let's face it, shaved ice is shaved ice, not much variance between vendors but what sets this place apart is it's energy. The excitement is stirred by the amazing location in old Town Wichita and moreover the proprietors who served the shaved ice. These two ladies were magnetic and fun and hilarious. The best part of my experience was meeting the two of them take the kids sit outside enjoy the hustle and bustle and traffic of old town!

Fantastic place with lots of fun people. The staff and owner are very friendly and fun. Come often and enjoy their unique shaved ice with alcohol, chill atmosphere, and yard games like giant Jenga and connect four plus many more!

We love Funky Monkeys Shaved Ice! It’s a hip little spot near the arena that serves adult shaved ice. They have many different drink combinations to choose from, or you can make your own. The ceiling is all outdoors, which is kind of nice on a cool night. My only criticisms are that it’s a little pricey, and they do have a water cooler available, but the water was hot. Overall we had a great experience and have been here several times.

Fun place to hang out. Super friendly staff and tasty 21+ shaved ice. Cornhole, oversized Connect 4 and Jenga to add to the fun. Try this place.

What a fun place! Music is great✔ atmosphere is great✔ location ✔ service ✔ and of course the shaved ice (: I really liked the fact that they had virgin and alcoholic options as well. Personally the wedding cake is the best. Wish we had found Funky Monkey sooner!!

Alcoholic shaved ice, anyone? Fun to have at least once! Pretty standard downtown bar, with the exception of them having shaved ice (which you can have with or without alcohol in). They had fun drink specials for their Halloween party.

this place is fantastic!! def try it out. you will come back a lot. Shaved ice looks very white due to its small water particles. Added Flavored syrups are absorbed by the ice instead of surrounding it. There is rarely a need for a straw for a properly made shave ice product, since the flavors are in the ice and not at the bottom of the cup. Although the traditional American flavors are common, shave ice in Hawai'i is often flavored with local ingredients such as guava, pineapple, coconut cream, passion fruit, li hing mui, lychee, kiwi fruit and mango. Hawaiian shave ice is traditionally served in a conical paper or plastic cup with multiple flavors and with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and/or adzuki bean paste at the bottom of the cup. Sweetened condensed milk drizzled over the top is sometimes called a "snow cap". This style of shave ice is common on the north shore of O'ahu, as well as on Maui and the Big Island of Hawai'i (where it is called "Japanese style"). Shave ice has its origins in Taiwan, as early as the 7th century AD. Japanese immigrants imported it to America. They brought it along with them when they came to Hawaii to work in sugar plantations. After leaving plantations, they took up new professions. But by then Shave Ice & Snow cones had become immensely popular and part of Hawaiian culture.
