My husband and I were celebrating our 44th anniversary this weekend, and I discovered this gem of a place on “Romantic Restaurants in Wichita,” and Bella Vita Bistro did not disappoint! It provided a delightful, relaxing atmosphere, with prompt and attentive service. We enjoyed the cheesy bruschetta bread appetizer as well as the in-house dipping sauce. My husband ordered the crispy chicken Alfredo, and I had the mushroom Marsala veal over pasta—both were quite delectable! We topped off our anniversary celebration with fantastic desserts. We highly recommend this restaurant and definitely plan to rerun in the future!

Original dated scenery but your not paying for the view food was excellent would advise reservations do to popularity I had the special wich was rack or lamb cooked medium with mashed potatoes and the house veggies the taste was exquisite my compliments to the chef

Been here twice and the food was really good. My youngest son wanted to go back for his fancy birthday dinner lol. They treated him like a little prince and sang Happy Birthday to him. Wonderful service and a romantic spot for date night.

We got the mussles, lobster bisque, seafood pomodoro and prime rib wellington. Service and food was amazing.

Bela Vita was a wonderful surprise! Every single item was superb. The place looks casual but the service was much better than in most fancier places. Chicken Bella Vita was sensational, perfectly cooked, richly flavored. Cannelloni crepes were beyond amazing. This was an exceptional dining experience and a remarkable value, can't wait to go back.

This establishment is on point everytime. Great environment, service (front/back of house), the menu and specials are just simply overwhelming satisfying. You always want more or a to-go box so you can wake up and make sure it wasn't a dream. The Chef entertains the guest with his presence and will sarinade you with his vocals if the mood is right. I highly recommend this place and would choose this spot over many other "fine dining establishments" when it comes the Northern Italian/French/ Continental cuisines.

Very delicious food, drinks and great service! The outside does not match the interior.

For starters, the Long Island Ice Tea was totally top shelf, the best I have had in a long time. I have had many in the past several years that were so watered down I stopped ordering them. Rachel, our waitress (who by the way was excellent) recommended it. I took a chance and was not disappointed. My wife wanted the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Rachel recommended trying it with the fried chicken instead of baked. We took a chance and again we were not disappointed, it was so so good. I really wanted to try some desert but we were so full. This was My first time visiting Bella Vista and will not be my last. What a hidden gem, what a pleasent surprise. Make sure to make a reservation because the secret is out. Tonight they had live music, a classical guitarist by the name of "Howard Glanton", he was fantastic, staying with the theme...top shelf he was, the cherry on top of our evening.

The atmosphere is nice. It's kind of more for romantic evening atmosphere. The food and service were great. Although I would love my duck to be a bit medium instead of a bit overcooked but it was still very good.

There was no wait. Service was fast and friendly. Picture shows the best Chicken Parmigiana I've ever had. I didn't have room for deserts but they looked delicious. Maybe next time. Ive been to many different Italian restaurants and they hit it out of the park on food and service. It's family owned and ran. Can't go wrong coming here.

Everything tasted so fresh and the ingredients were wonderful! Well worth the price for a wonderful date night.

My family and I had such an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing and the waiter we had (I didn’t catch his name) was even better. He made my 18th birthday feel so special and he was such an amazing and funny guy. I have never once left a review in my life but I felt the need to because I could not recommend this place more. Plus I had to brag about the waiter :) .

Much better than I expected in a Kansas strip mall. Attentive servers, some excellent wines, nicely presented appetizers and a delicious entree with a sauce well-balanced for richness and acidity over clearly homemade pasta. I would definitely go back.

It’s rare that 6 of us go out to eat and every one of us loves our meal, this was the case with our visit to Bella Vita. We all ordered different menu items and they were all delicious. The service was excellent. Well done, Anthony! We are restaurant people that are not the easiest to please, I’m excited to say that I found a new place to frequent on Mondays when our place is closed. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

My Sister Debi and I used to eat dinner at Bella Vita Bistro often. Every time we ate here the food was awesome and the service was fabulous. We are 3/4 Italian so we know good Italian food. My Sister is now gone, I haven't been here since she passed. I would strongly recommend eating at Bella Vita Bistro. Keep up the great work. May God bless you always! 🙏

Would never have thought such an awesome restaurant was tucked into that little strip mall. Great food, love the atmosphere, and call ahead for a reservation.

Nice little place for date night. I can't believe how many times I've driven by and never noticed it. Food was out of this world. I had the veal parmesan and the missus had shrimp Alfredo. Best Alfredo sauce I'd ever tasted. The bread you get is addicting. Only downside is we waited over 45 minutes for our food. I think we got forgotten about. But they were super busy (we had to eat at the bar because they were completely booked), so I don't hold too much against them. I will be going back. Just going to make a reservation next time...

Why haven't we been here until now. Absolutely fantastic. We had a party of 6 and everyone said their meal was delicious. A great gem of a restaurant hidden in plain sight. You can't miss trying this one.

I was a little apprehensive when a friend suggested this place for dinner. WOW! The restaurant is such a hidden gem. The food was incredible, and the staff were attentive and like family. I had the Marsala with chicken. A great rich sauce with depth, but not heavy like so many are. The meal comes in several stages and each is wonderfully presented and timed so we weren't swimming in dishes. I went on a Tuesday evening and it was still full. My only regret is that I didn't leave room for desert. Maybe next time.

Christmas Eve and busy...happy we made reservations! Delicious food, served with a flare! Presentation and flavor were more than we expected!

We didn't plan on being in Wichita Ks on our 50 Wedding Anniversary..but who does.Any we were visiting a sick relative on the west side of town and saw Trip Ad review of this place. In a small mall near a vape shop, it didn't look so inviting but we went in and were treated very nicely. Service was good, Italian food was very good. The grandkids got served very quickly and we enjoyed the entire meal...even split a desert. We didn't mention it was our anniversary because we didn't want to be showered with gifts and free wine.A great experience after a hard day.

First time going to this restaurant. Heard good things from friends and decided on a whim to check it out. It was bust and didn't remember that prom was still going on. Luckily there was a table that didn't show. The hostess was really nice. We got seated right away. We sat at the table for several minutes without anyone coming over. Our server was an older gentleman. He made idle chit-chat with us. But he misgendered my kid. So that was a little weird. We ordered the bruchetta for the appetizer and my daughter ordered a drink. Which he had no idea what it was, but it was featured on the drink menu. We also placed our food order. Several minutes went by and he brought the oil for the bread. Someone else brought out the bruchetta. It was delicious! Several more minutes went on an we finished the appetizer. We noticed that the larger table of people who arrived AFTER us was getting bread, and entrées before us! After almost 15 more minutes Our server said he forgot the bread and he would go get it. Which he did. Several more times he misgendered my kid and my kid started to get upset and shut down completely. Food was brought out and it was decent. After almost 2 1/2 hours there waiting on appetizers, bread and food and our upset kid we were ready to go. So we asked someone else for boxes. We went out to the car and my husband stayed to pay the bill. I find it a little distasteful when a server looks at the tip on the check right in front of the dinner. I get it that it's prom season and it's busy, but there could have been better attentiveness. I would give the place an 7.5 out of 10. Just on the slow service alone. It's good, but probably won't be back in.

Good Evening, Everyone who enjoys really great and well made food… My team and I visit Wichita very often and I am glad to let you know that this is BY FAR the best Restaurant in Wichita, in comparison to any other in town… This is really authentic Italian cuisine, made fresh…! THE ENTIRE MENU IS GREAT AND DELICIOUS… Highly recommend this Restaurant for someone that wants to enjoy a fenomenal dinning experience…!!!

Really, I was expecting better with the high ratings on google. There was an awful, stale stench while walking in through the entrance which made me think twice if I should dine-in or not. The food here can be hit or missed. My Bucatini, and the meatballs, were under season even with the added salt while the alfredo was spot on with the seasoning. For most, the food and drinks will taste great. For others, I think you'll do well elsewhere. The atmosphere was a lot darker with dim lighting. This is great if you're wanting to just relax and eat, but it was a bit too dark for myself. The portions are good, and the bread was uninspiring. The waiters are knowledgeable and friendly but I didn't see much smiles on their faces. The venue will be fancy and homey to most, but it could make some feel out of place. Would I come back to Bella Vita Bistro? Probably not, and I think Gordon Ramsey would agree with me.

We had read reviews and were looking forward to a very nice meal but was so disappointed in it. We won't go again! The chicken Parmesean was so bland and cold along with the potatoes, and the snow peas were overcooked. My fish was cold and sitting on a bed of colder potatoes. We felt bad for the waitress cause she had several large tables to take care of. To many actually! And we feel that we could have made it better at home.

This is a lovely, intimate restaurant with wonderful staff and a small but amazing menu! My nephew had the lamb shank and I had one of the veal offerings. Both were traditionally cooked Italian food (which I’ve had in both Italy and NYC) and I enjoyed the quality and flavors immensely. The fresh bread and house olive oil/balsamic/parmesan dip was great as well!! I would definitely recommend this place for a date night or special occasion, and I will be back!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Absolutely PHENOMENAL. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. My fiance and I have been in town visiting family for a week and eating out every night at the highest rated restaurants. I am a vegetarian so my diet is slightly restricted. At Bella Vita I was able to eat something delicious (not just a salad!). I highly recommend the RISOTTO BALLS as an appetizer.

I visited this restaurant six years ago when I was in town and thought the food was wonderful. So I made a point of revisiting last night expecting the same experience. Well I was extremely disappointed. The atmosphere was the same quaint and romantic. The waiter was professional and timely. Unfortunately, where it all went wrong was the food. We started our night off with the stuffed portobello appetizer. The mushroom itself was a bit rubbery but you really won’t even notice that because it’s stuffed full of overpowering sausage. The delicate taste of the mushroom is obsolete. Honestly, if you close your eyes would think you were eating microwaved pizza. The entrées arrived plaited nicely. I ordered the chicken Bella Vita which came with the green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken itself was a rather small portion but that wasn’t the problem. It was very dry and had almost a pungent flavor. I took two bites and I had no desire to take any more. The green beans tasted like they were soaked in sea water. I took one bite and almost choked on how incredibly salty they were. OK, mashed potatoes how can anybody mess up mashed potatoes right? Lol The mashed potatoes were so thick and gummy and bland it was like chewing on what I would imagine school glue texture would taste like. So now let’s get to my husbands meal you would think one of us would have had a pleasant experience correct? He ordered the vodka tortellini. He is a New York Italian and couldn’t turn down pasta. The pasta came out and from its appearance it looked to be properly made. Although, with just one bite I immediately spit it out into my napkin. This might be a bit crude but honestly it’s the only way I know how to describe the taste. I swear it tasted exactly like what my children’s dirty diapers smelled like when they were babies. I’m not sure if possibly one of the ingredients they used was rancid or what the issue was but I’ve never tasted something so repulsive. My husband is a 6’6 man who loves his groceries but even he refused to eat this. We spent $100 and barely had more than two or three bites. We did let the waiter know we did not care for the food which was obvious from our plates barely being touched but we went ahead and paid and left. I will chalk this up as a very disappointing lesson learned. I gave them one star for the atmosphere and one star for the waiter.

Hands down the best Italian food in town. I’ve been here probably 30 times, I try and get something different every time and every time it’s the best I’ve ever had. Pasta, steaks, soups and everything In between is the best I’ve had anywhere. Why is it so good? I couldn’t tell you why or how but damn it is good every time.
