UPDATE - we returned to have lunch. I ordered the Pollo el Hango and he ordered the Crab and Shrimp burrito. Both were phenomenal!! First timer at Puerto Vallarta and it won’t be our last. Tequila chicken and the four tacos platter (I can’t remember the name) were absolutely delicious! The thing that surprised me most was the bean dip that they bring out with their chips and salsa. I’m not a bean kinda gal, ever. But I devoured two sauce bowls of this thing. Must try! Service was exceptional! Heard they even have a brunch with 10 cent mimosas. Will have to stop by and check that out!

I always drove past here and never stopped in. But finally I tried it for the first time. The food is amazing and cheap! And we had wonderful service! I highly recommend this place! My new favorite place :)

Very good! I loved my taco plate. Their sauces are amazing! We had the jalapeño poppers when I say they were hot, that’s an understatement… my husband looked like Edward Cullen stepping into the sun after taking 1 bite. So if you don’t like hot, I don’t suggest that! Everything else was amazing. Service was great!

This was a very pleasant experience. Eaten at almost all the Mexican restaurants on the west side and must say this has been my favorite by far. It was seat yourself but didn't take long for our waitress to bring us chips with a bowl of piping hot bean dip and salsa. The portions were good, the authenticity of the Mexican food was on point and the prices are affordable for a family meal. I had the carnitas taco and chicken mole enchilada with rice and beans. Each rice and beans side you have multiple choices. I chose Spanish rice with pinto. My daughter had the crunchy shell corn chicken taco with the same sides as mine. I had a tall draw of Dos Equis that came in a cold mug 🍺. Very refreshing! I will definitely be making this my regular spot for my mexican dining experience! Well done

*Updated review* 10/04/2022 Went back tonight for the 2nd time for their national taco day special. The waitress was didn't know about the special. We ordered our tacos and I ordered a margarita. The tacos were good, I enjoyed the chicken and the pork tacos. The service tonight was maybe having an off night. I never did get the margarita I ordered and they never refilled out chips and salsa. They were not busy either. Tacos were good though. Went for the first time tonight for dinner. The place is pretty small and seat yourself. But the servers were all very friendly and helpful and service was pretty quick.They bring out chips and salsa and bean dip. The salsa was pretty good. The beans were just beans. Added a bit of salsa to them and they were 👌. We got the crazy nachos for appetizer. I liked that they have 3 different meats which helped my decide which meat I liked best to get in my burrito. They could have stood to have more cheese, but were still good. I got the smothered carnitas burrito with both red and green sauces. It was very good and super filling. My husband got the steak chimichanga burrito. He said it was very good too. We well definitely have to come back.

Warm beach side ambiance with cozy seating and great service, I opted in for the salmon which was amazing and definitely delicious, great grilled veggies n salmon was cooked to perfection, flaky n moist, the balsamic glaze was a nice touch. Highly recommend, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area.

Incredible carnitas and very affordable. I always order the Taquiza plate which includes 4 tacos, skirt steak, seasoned chicken, carnitas, and shrimp. The margaritas are also SO GOOD!

Very small inside but very good food! We got the bacon wrapped jalapeños and chicken quesadillas and steak quesadillas. Sweet waitress too!

I was look for a taco salad close by and this place was on the list. I order a taco salad with rice and beans and it was soooo good! This second time I ordered the seafood enchiladas with rice and beans- another excellent choice. They have great food, a quiet atmospere, great service, and drink specials everyday. Try this place, it's great

This is a fantastic place to eat. I can't recommend the street tacos enough. We also had some ceviche and house margaritas. 5 out of 5 for sure.

Went to their Sunday brunch buffet for the first time, and all I can say is wow! Food was really, really good, loved the seasonings on the Prime Rib. They were very busy, but our server Carlos took wonderful care of us anyway. The value is frankly ridiculous, with the price compared to most other brunch buffets in town we weren't expecting all that much, but we got one of the best brunch meals we've had in recent memory. We will absolutely be back over and over again. 10 cent Mimosas are only a bonus on a very, very good meal. Highly recommend.

We have been many times and the food is great. Some of my favorites are the chicken mole enchiladas and the street tacos that come as four with different meats. Went last night and we both got the salad in a shell and they were great. I got the blackened salmon added to mine and it was good.

Ordered the steak fajitas, not sure what we received but it was a mess of greasy peppers and onions, only 5 chunks of meat that looked like it had been boiled. They also left all the seeds from the peppers which was unappealing and bitter. 2 tortillas were included which had obviously been warmed on a dirty flattop. Also ordered enchiladas with mole sauce....they came with no mole. Can't say I recommend this place....food used to be great till this happened.

Lunch at Puerto Vallarta is always a success! The food is full of layers of flavor and the prices are fantastic.We love the Chimichanga with Mole, Chili Rellenos and Chicken Rellenos. They are a wonderful alternative to higher priced cuisines in the style with the same amount of deliciousness. The only problem is that they looked closed or are visibly easy to see that they are open. We skipped past the building many times but never again it's a favorite!!!
