Our family really enjoyed the visit here. Favorites were the planes on the airfield, the control tower, and the kids area with airplane toys and simulators. Don't miss the real airplane motor crank on the first floor, from one of the early planes. It's a challenge to get going and makes a terrific noise, very exhilarating. Tips: Bring quarters if you have little ones so they can ride the old coin-operated plane rides. Bring hats or an umbrella for the sun on the airfield. Grab a guide pamphlet at the entrance. It tells you the names of the planes outside. There is an elevator that makes most of the museum wheelchair accessible, but the control tower is only accessible by a narrow stairway. Overall, fun and quite inspiring.

Spent about 1.5 hour here. If you’re into history this might be good place for you. Kids enjoyed it and the local history of Wichita was pretty interesting.

Love this place. Always has friendly and fun stuff. They have options to rent venue for b day parties or weddings and they have endless amount of space. They put out new exhibits pal the time and then tower view of the city is priceless. A must go!

There’s a $9 entrance fee per adult person. A pretty cool museum. Make sure to pick up a scavenger hunt paper while you walk through the museum! We enjoyed searching for the answers throughout our walk and learned a lot from it.

I love the historical Art Deco architecture and the history. My husband is the one most interested in the planes, the engines, the machines themselves. He focused on all that, and I saw art in the polished wood props, the gears in the gunner's optical sight, the photography. It was interesting reading about the Tuskegee airmen, the women of WW2, and I always enjoy seeing stories about Amelia Earhart. There's a lot to enjoy. Even areas for children to learn and play, though on this particular cold windy weekday in winter there were only a few other adults besides us.

Great Aviation Museum! The building and aircraft are all awesome to experience. Live being able to go up in the Tower. The 737-200 and 727 were both open and able to be entered when i visited. Definitely worth the visit.

Visited the museum on a recent trip to Wichita because my boyfriend wanted to experience some of the aviation history. The museum is inside a cool art deco building. There are planes outside that you are able to look in and stand next to. The highlight of the museum was going up to the air tower and seeing the view. Probably a more fun experience for children. Museum was not busy for a Wednesday afternoon; realized when we got there that Tuesday’s are buy one get one free on tickets. Good place to experience the aviation history of Wichita.

Awesome setup, spent a few hours could have spent a little more even! Kids have a fun play area upstairs where they can do flight simulators and sit in cockpits etc. We have a 1 1/2 year old, 8 year old and 9 year old and they all loved it. Great customer service, there was a gentleman upstairs who was extremely helpful in telling us facts and history of the planes and people.

Some great exhibits inside but the aircraft outside need some serious maintenance, the local manufacturers should be donating to the museum to aid in the upkeep.

We used the Sunflower Summer app for our trip so I'm not sure how much it would typically cost. The kids had a great time. They were prepping for an event so our trip was cut short, but we still had plenty of time to tour the museum. It was cool viewing airplanes land and take off from the control tower.

Thank you for a great visit. The people at the front desk were just lovely. The museum and the building are amazing such a cool design and the ceiling paintings are fantastic. Good exhibits but in reality the building steals the show. Outside is a B52 that needs a lot of help. This is a small museum and some local folks or aircraft manufacturers that are RIGHT next door need to step up and spend a little time and energy and help out this plane. No excuse for the condition of the BUFF. Not the museums fault they have the budget they have and are doing a great job.

Little Aviators on Friday mornings is a great activity for parents of small children. My little one had a blast and didn't want to leave! So much fun with a lot of information to learn! The gift shop is also the most reasonably priced one I've ever been to! We will be back again and again

Historical Aviation museum in a historical location! What’s also great about this place is that it can be rented out for events. Weddings are great here and so are events like a stringed quartet. It makes for great acoustics and a beautiful back drop for an event. During the day, I’ve enjoyed talking to some of the volunteers that help out on restoring aircraft and help run the place. This place is a great visit. I hope people continue to support this place so it can keep growing. Worth a visit!

This is a great place to take children to explore! Hands on exhibits, flight simulators, many planes to look at, and some to get in and pretend to fly! Also, many history lessons throughout the entire facility. Multiple levels 8n the building to explore!

Literally the best part of my trip for 10 bucks and for a good hour and a half. I had so much fun. And being able to get close with the planes was the highlight.
