DD had been mentioned to us in the recent months but this was the first time we stopped in for Sunday Breakfast, out of the blue. I cannot say enough good things about it. I don't know what mix they used for their waffles but dam they were the best tasting ones I've ever had. So yummy, no syrup was necessary, although I did dip some pieces in the syrup and it was delicious. The hubs had the Pig and Pepper omelette and said it was very good. Coffee had a great, flavor and not bitter at all. We will definitely have to try their lunch/ dinner soon!

This is a great place to get exactly what you would like. Substitutions are allowed! They were very busy so we ate at the counter. Great choice! Great service! Great food! After the silverware comes out of the dishwasher they inspect and hand dry each piece! Highly recommend this place!

So my 2nd time visiting the D.D. and unfortunately it was disappointing. The service was slow. Our food was cold. I ordered a steak medium rare. Attached is a photo of the steak. And in my experience this was obviously an old steak that was gray before it even touched the grill. I'm all for supporting small loc businesses but I can't if the quality isn't there. Come on D.D. DO BETTER

Nice quiet diner with fast service and home cooking. Salisbury steak was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes are 100% homemade ! Just the right consistency. Mixed vegetables needed a little extra seasoning for my taste. Be sure to save room for fresh pies! The green chili breakfast burrito sounds delicious!

Great customer service! Part of our order was missing. They delivered it to our house!!! (Which is right down the street) But I was shocked! That’s the kind of old fashion customer service we’re missing these days! They went above and beyond. Delano Diner is our favorite breakfast place. This is another reason why!

I think they had a recent remodel. Everything was clean, the tables were in good shape, and the menus were clean. The food was delicious! We had the Air Capitol omelet, side of biscuits and gravy, and kids chicken and waffles. The syrup is my favorite syrup ever. The chicken strips are not too heavily breaded, and they're moist. The kid's cups with lids that they can take home are super handy to have around the house! Friendly service. Delish looking fresh cakes at the front. The only thing I would say that could be better is that the omelet was fairly small and a bit skimpy on the fillings for the price that they charged for it. $12.99 for an omelet with two pieces of toast and hash browns. I wouldn't mind paying the price if it had seemed filling enough to be worth it. The omelet tasted good, though. I signed up for text messages and got free coffee, so that was a bonus!

I just moved back to Wichita after 22 years and I'd not been there before, but friends recommended it highly they drove from a long way to get there. I had the chicken fried steak, it was absolutely delicious. My friend had a chicken fry also and he loved it. His wife had a pork tender sandwich that the meat on it was big enough for three sandwiches easily, she loved it. I'll definitely be back, it's one of my new favorite places in Wichita and I've got a lot from when I used to live here. Friendly fast service, great food, great prices, can't beat that. It' nice to be home from Colorado and food like this is one big reason why.

Quiet small diner. Good for couples and small groups of 4 or less. My husband and I ordered the Delano's Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger. The sandwich consists of 2 cheeseburgers with lettuce, pickles, onion and tomato between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with fries. It was a lot to eat! They have a cake/pie display when you enter. I did not partake of the options but that chocolate cake looked delicious! Next time, I am ordering breakfast!

Great place, super clean. Delicious food with a large menu. Service was so pleasant. Finally found a great dinner in Wichita.

Excellent diner for the Wichita area, just west of Douglas and Seneca, slightly father west of downtown. A Delano treasure that I’m no longer missing out on, that recently offered me excellent service and food on my first visit back in awhile. The Green Chili Breakfast burrito came highly recommended and was greatly enjoyed, extremely packed with bacon, eggs, cheese, and pico. The dining areas are clean and spacious, with a pleasant restaurant atmosphere. The Google menu section for the place does desperately need updating because the pricing has jumped significantly from what I looked at before visiting. I can definitely recommend DD as a great food choice to every Delano local and all of Wichita.

Went here for a birthday dinner. There were 8 of us, but the staff still got our orders fairly quickly. There were drinks forgotten twice and we were left unattended for at least 15 minutes. The food was okay for a diner, but there was no jelly packets on the tables for the toast. But still a pleasant experience.

Normally have Veggie Omelet and Hash browns for breakfast. It is absolutely wonderful. Ate lunch there today and had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. Lots of really fresh veggies, lots of flavorful grilled chicken. Service was great, food was absolutely excellent. Highly recommend. Hidden gem in downtown Wichita for sure!

I was there to celebrate my sister-in-law's Birthday. It was a good celebration. The restaurant was very busy and was very short on staff. However the lone waitress was doing her best to stay on top of things. Although my meal of chicken & noodles arrived cold, the waitress made sure it was heated thoroughly and returned it to me quickly. It was delish! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. The servings were large; leaving plenty to take home for the next day's lunch. I would certainly return for another try.

The food was excellent.. Was seated quickly, drink served promptly. However guess server was not let known they seated a guest. Finally a very friendly server from next area checked on me, and promptly took my order.. However when food came out an item was missing, I mentioned it they young lady that had brought food it out just rudely sat it on the table.

Biscuits are fire! Definitely going to recommend it! (Edit) popped in for a 2nd visit. The meal was epic as I expected. The service was fast and friendly. The environment was clean and quiet even though it has open kitchen. Still going to recommend it, for quick morning pick me up. Thank you guys for your wonderful service and the great food!!

Service was quick. The food came out very quickly and was really good. The breading on the chicken fried steak was crunchy and held up under the gravy. This was a first and I believe I would come back to try some more foods.

I wish I had a picture of my breakfast. It was a simple eggs over medium with country fries and bacon. The thing is, they take even the simplest meals seriously. Everything is cooked to perfection. The sandwich you see is a pork loin. It would feed a family. He said it was delicious and his wife said that her breakfast burrito was best she’d ever had.
