Great way to loose weight ( second time in a month I threw half of my meal in the bin). I'm reviewing the takeaway here, not the restaurant which was great last time I ate there. Disinterested staff got my order wrong again. Chips were bland and very dry ( I had asked very clearly for salt and vinegar). Sausage ok, but bizarrely wrapped in two different wrappers. Overall, way too much packaging. I asked for sausage and chips, that's some chips in a box/paper with a sausage on top. It took 10 minutes to serve me my very simple meal(chips were ready, sausage in the warmer). I'm going to find a chip shop where a nice person takes my order and slaps it in container, takes my money and I'm out the door. You don't need a chain of command to serve fish suppers. Here your order goes through at least three people before you get served. Disappointing as it used to be great, if a little pricey, but I'm more than happy to pay a bit more for good quality food and timely service.

Wow 🤩 this has to be the best fish and chips in Luton. Fresh, tasty and lovely large portions. The restaurant is well designed, great seating layout and a very welcoming environment. Staff are very friendly and offer a good service. Overall I loved my experience there.

There is a lovely ambiance here, the novelty of a nicely furnished fish and chips restaurant is a definite crows pleaser. The quality of the fish is spot on, portions are generous and well presented. The only downside for me is that the staff are very robotic and not very welcoming or friendly. Front of house/hostess staff should take note of this - a smile and a warm welcome for paying customers is always a winning combination. I always get the feeling when entering that i, the customer, have to please you in order to be able to eat at your establishment, when it should be the other way round, you should be making it welcoming for me to come and dine there. This has happened on the past 3 occasions and nothing has improved. It's a shame because it's lovely otherwise.

MAY 2023 UPDATE Once again a splendid meal here. Service by Maani was great. Curry sauce tasting excellent and different from last time. Need to go back to having the fusion fish than cod in my opinion it is much better tasting and less oily. PREVIOUS VISIT Still one of the best fish and chips in town and well worth the visit. Fantastic decor and cosy ambience. Generous portions and always left feeling full, had the house made onion rings coated in their lovely batter for the first time it had a nice crunch to it and a lovely addition. The Wigmore Classic basket meal is my go to now.

Award winning Fish and chip shop with amazing award winning fish and chips, I had the Haddock very tasty, fish was moist batter slightly soft, and chips were amazing, very delicious food, great range of burgers, kebabs, including cheesy chips, a must visit, if visiting the area, Great friendly staff too.

We visit this place first time and we were not disappointed. We ordered 2 cod, 1 large chips , small curry sauce and frickles. Everything come to £19.18 . Fish taste nice and fresh . The batter was little greasy. Our chips were very nice and crispy. Curry sauce was lovely and frickles were very different but good to. We enjoyed dinner from wigmore and definetely we will come back try some more different options. Good food for reasonable price.

Went here on the spur of the moment as on a day off and really glad that we did. Great food with large portions. Alternative beers as well as a few mainstream. Had a beef and a chicken burger with sweet potato fries. All cooked from fresh. Will definitely be going back again. Service really attentive and the kitchen is open so you can see clearly that everything is done to order. Second visit which was to celebrate my wife's birthday with my son and brother in law. The food was just as good and we tried totally different meals. Really recommend the restaurant.

Although I was apprehensive at first ordering Greek at a fish and chip shop, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the culinary excellence that was presented before me. I recently indulged in the mixed souvlaki, an absolute delight for my taste buds, that instantly awakened my senses. The tender, juicy chunks of chicken and pork were expertly marinated, infusing each piece with a harmonious blend of herbs and spices. Every bite a celebration of the Mediterranean. But wait there’s more. A soft and fluffy pita bread, provided the ideal vessel to wrap around the tantalizing meat. With the star of the show being the tzatziki! Creamy and refreshing, this tangy yogurt-based sauce elevated the entire experience. Its coolness paired beautifully with the sizzling meat, adding a delightful zing and hint of garlic that left me craving more with each dip. And to finish what better pairing could I have asked for but to be presented with a chilled Greek beer, truly transporting anyone who eats there from Luton to the sunny shores of Greece. Chips were undercooked 4 stars

We entered the restaurant/takeaway for the first time on 03/07/22. We were very impressed with the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the whole place including the toilets which were clean and smelled lovely. When we arrived home with our 2 large cod and chips they were presented beautifully and we're delicious. Not the cheapest you can get, but definitely very good value for money. We'll done!

Lovely decor,lovely staff, but definitely very overpriced ! They have an over 60's which is £1 cheaper (£11.95) or there abouts....the portion is very small so should be much cheaper, the restaurant is owned by the same people in the takeaway chippy a few shops away...and I'm pretty sure it's not nearly £12 for fish and chips ! We paid nearly £38 for 2 small fish and chips, 1 onion rings, 1 freckles tea and coke ! It's fish and chips at the end of the day, I should have been brave and just left. I do not recommend this restaurant based on the price I feel ripped off.

Just had breakfast there today, fantastic service, great food. I had the pancake stack with bacon which was delicious. Would strongly recommend Just had the chicken souvlaki today, the chicken was so moist and lovely served with a really creamy but cool tzatziki...delicious again

Such a hidden gem!! Needed a place to work for a couple of hours before picking a friend up from the airport. The owner quickly made a special effort to find me a table in a gorgeous quiet corner where I could plug in my Mac. The staff were immaculate, friendly and welcoming, Ravi served me and was brilliant. The food and drinks was beautifully presented.

The BEST fish and chips place I have ever been to! I have been coming here for well over 2 years and never have they disappointed me. Over that time I have told many of my family and friends to visit this restaurant and everyone has loved it. The service from the very first day I went till today is still the best service I have ever received in any restaurant. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is top quality, and fresh. The service is really quick. I would definitely recommend this place. PS: This place also has the best Mojitos (ask Barbara to make them) and also the best Mocha (ask Panny to make this!). I would definitely recommend everybody to go to this restaurant. :)

It is with great pleasure that I can submit my feedback for Wigmore Fish and Chips Restaurant where we organised our son's First Holy Communion at the end of June for 30 guests. Even the logistics of the organization was a pleasure. The restaurant is very clean, the food delicious and the portions are large. The atmosphere of this place is very friendly. The staff is doing excellent work. The owner agreed to bake a cake for us, which was delicious and beautiful. We're very impressed how professional and organised is the crew. It was a very good decision to make that event in this restaurant.

I have been there many times, but today I had a 0 grade service even though I had a large order. I don't understand how the staff can behave like this. I arrived, went to the bar and the girl there said she would come to us, after which we went to the terrace. after 10 minutes of waiting, seeing that other customers were offered the menu, we went to ask for it too. I ordered, the food was brought, but without forks, knives and napkins. We had to ask again. Dessert was missing from the children's menu. The manager was not interested, I think it is more important to finish the day and get money, customers are not important to anyone in this restaurant. even though I live in Wingmore I do not recommend this restaurant, you pay and leave nervous even if the food is good, I have never seen service like this anywhere
