The owners are absolutely rude people. I watched them hit a girl in the back with a door. There are roaches crawling everywhere inside and outside. If your a couple you get charged more than a single person and they make you pay by person plus the room if your a family. They over charge for you to stay when there is mold all over the walls, cracks in their foundations. The room I had when staying. The fridge didn't work and I didn't even get a microwave for the months I was here. They stole money off my card multiple times and up charged and never gave me the money they stole back. Will definitely be reporting them to the BBB and shutting them down!

The worst motel to ever stay in. The staff is very rude and my room was very dirty. I originally paid for a 7 day 6 night stay for $440.00. Then I paid for an additional night for $67.74. It was paid for with my credit card. They charged me again, for $33 after I have left the motel. I called them this morning to address the situation about the charge. The lady at the front desk kept telling me that I paid 1/2 of the room in cash and they charged the other 1/2 on my card. Which is not factual, because I never paid for my room with cash. I always used my card for payment. We argued about the charge, then she tells me "Why are you worried about it, it is only $33. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

OMG, STAY AWAY..if you care about your health and just plain respect yourself as a human being, FIND somewhere else. There are other hotels and motels with similar pricing that has better conditions. This place is terrible!!!! Roaches, mildew smell, rude staff, manager is rude and lies. There was a hole in the wall as well. Furniture was water stained. Dirty bathroom. I complained when I saw the huge cockroach and the night auditor refused to change my room. He told me to wait for manager in the morning which was terrible. There was a huge roach crawling and another one dead and I had to stay. Manager lied about being a manager and didn't address the issue just saying when pest control would come some day after we check out which didn't help my stay, also refused refund or discount. I also could hear cars passing by all night. This is the truth!!! It deserves a 0 or a -1, it is so bad!! Oh and iron board is dirty and air conditioner taped in wall. They do not have central a/c. Just the unit. Take your time and find somewhere else!!!

This is by no means a 4 or 5 star motel. But... It's super cheap, convenient as far as location but it has a roof, a toilet, a shower and a bed. It's definitely not fancy. It is what it is. Locals know exactly what you get if you are going to this motel.

Do not stay here. This was the grossest place I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay. They moved our room after I reported the toilet seat covered in black stuff. Our new room had 5 dead cockroaches, black dirt littering the counters, carpet that was clearly not vacuumed, stained sheets + towels, and a bathroom sink + toilet that have clearly not been cleaned in the last week. A sad excuse for a motel. Budget friendly does not mean disgusting.

The service is horrible, absolutely horrible. The rooms are filthy, wires showing in walls, mold, roaches in the room. The TV, half the lights and the fan didn't work and the sink leaked all over the bathroom. I turned the water off and told them in morning. They told me to just leave the water turned off off on the line unless I needed it!!!!!!!!!

This place is disgusting! 🤮 It’s INFESTED. Roaches, bedbugs, stains everywhere, STENCH. Stench of old cigarettes, unwashed human body, GROSS cologne. Vagrants wandering the parking lot. You DO NOT want to stay here.

Absolutely awful. There were bedbugs and when we told the lady she refused to believe us until she came and saw for herself. She also refused to give us a refund because we decided to stay somewhere else.

The Carolinan Inn is a inexpensive motel that is pretty outdated but offers weekly rates that are very reasonable with a location that is close to everything in Wilmington and several beaches on the coast of North Carolina. Don't expect to much from this motel in the way of service or amenities it's a cheap motel that is conveniently located. The rooms are large with big closets but small bathrooms. Personally didn't see any bugs or problems but not for everyone.

Dirty old motel, didn't stay. From reading the reviews, this place is a dump. Glad the area is going to be redeveloped, and this place will be torn down.

High in price but low in quality the maintenance person don't know anything at all the place needs to be tore down an a new place put up its the nastiest place to stay in wilmington you'd be better off sleeping in your car or on a park bench just the absolute worst place to stay in the Port city

Reserved the room online, but when I arrived they did not care and just rung us in as walk up customers. Saw them do the same to other people who were arriving behind us as well. That wasn't an issue tho. Upon entering the room, every thing on the walls was crooked which was odd but not a deal breaker. Nothing was plugged in, had to plug in a/c unit for it to come on. Knob was broken so you couldn't change the temperature. Stayed cool, but coughed all night because of the moldy smell and it was just plain old musky. Everything I brought in there smelled like the room when I left. The worse part for me honestly was the mini fridge. As soon as I opened it a retched dead fish smell came out of it and I almost threw up. I slammed it closed and didn't open again. I also went out and bought a couple of blankets and pillows because I was scared to sleep on the bed at that point. I've stayed at some pretty seedy places and I hate to say this was the worse. If you're looking for a shower and a bed, this is for you. But that's all they have to offer, and even that is pretty gross. Enter at your own risk.

Wish I could give this hotel a ZERO. Couldn’t go inside to pay, had to stand at the door and wait to be checked in. Got the key to the room 116. Walked in, stayed 10 minutes. Door didn’t have a lock on it, bathroom window can be opened from outside due to no lock being on there. Refrigerator stunk like a dead fish was in there and removed prior to us arriving. Got all 3 kids out of there after those 10 minutes. Went back to the front door where you have to check in and checked out. Told the man at the door that we were going to find somewhere else to stay and everything that we saw wrong with the room. He didn’t seem to care. Just told us to call the manager to see if he would give us a refund. We didn’t get a refund but we got charged again. The manager said that we broke the sink when all we did was check the window. Highly recommend no one staying here.

⚠️ Do NOT COME HERE!⚠️ THE WEBSITE IS MISLEADING . No pool , junkies . The room is horrible. They will double charge you. The management are thieves, if you stay over 80 days ,they aren't supposed to charge you taxes. But they do & won't give it back. So we'll take them to court. The so called management think they can talk to you anyking way they want to. Inside the roof is black mold. There is just to many bad things to list about this place.
