The monument and surrounding area provide a lot of historical information in a visually pleasing way. The airplanes are a big hit with my children, and we come here often so they can run in the field and woods. There are a couple geocaches in the park as well for added enjoyment.

Great museum. A hidden gem.

I have lived in the Winnipeg area most of my life, and I never realized this park existed. It's a nice place to visit and see some of the Airforce's planes and equipment. Everything is within easy walking distance. There are plaques describing what you are seeing at each display.

Excellent displays! They have static displays of the F-86, CF-100, CF-101, CF-104 among others. Only Canadian fighters they're missing are a CF-5 and CF-18. Should totally consider adding those to the grounds to complete the collection. :) Very peaceful to wander around at night too.

The air Force heritage museum park has nine aircraft on posts: * Cf-86 sabre * Grumman anti-submarine aircraft * F100 Canuck * Cf-101 voodoo * Canadian passenger jet prototype * Kiowa helicopter * Harvard trainer * A small single engine trainer * CT-133 silver Star (looked a lot like a p-80 shooting star to me) * A retired NORAD/DEWline radar antenna You can walk right up to each aircraft, walk under them, touch them. Parking is free. Furthermore, there are some granite plaques commemorating the rcaf training squadrons, and a map of the various training bases. Depending on your interest in military aircraft, you can spend ten minutes or so hour here. It's definitely interesting, and the price is right.

Great place to check out some fairly recent history. Went as a family and between all the planes to look at and the park and picnic area our young son was occupied the whole time. Some planes and walkways could use a bit of maintenance, but overall it was a lovely place to walk around.

Pretty cool little park with planes enough to satisfy anyone who has an inching for aviation! Super easy to get to and walk around, every plane has a nice description attached to it as well and they have both old and relatively newer trainer planes!

Learn some history about the RCAF and planes ftom the past. Quiet little park near the south gate of 17 Wing.

A little smaller than expected but fun and free. Nice picnic tables are available. Worth seeing and visiting at least once to learn.

Great displays with information plaques. Not very many planes which is why I didn't give 5 stars.

My husband and I liked all the planes on display. We stayed in the park to have a little picnic. We enjoyed our time together as it was quiet and able to take our time checking all the planes closely.

It was great. I took a few grandchildren who were quite excited to see the displays.

Great place to picnic along you like pokemonning it's usually some sort of nest has stops and gyms lol The planes are a cool piece of history

This place is great to visit specially if you are an aircrafts lover, I was impressed with the fact that there are a lot of planes in exhibit wich is more fun for the kids...

Nice hidden gem with a play area near by.

This is an outdoor museum of 1950s through 1990's aircraft used by the Canadian military. It's a nice place to visit if you have a passing interest in military aircraft and the weather is pleasant.

Really cool place to check out some retired military aircrafts, it's like an outdoor museum in a park, so it's free to visit and parking is free too!

So much fun to walk around here and look at the planes on display as well as the planes taking off from the airport! Very dog friendly, and right by the walking path.

Good place to make a quick stop and see some old war planes. They are mounted do you can't get to close. No facilities but does have a kids park near by.

Great collection of former candadian air force planes before you enter the base. Pieces of Canadian history. This is worth a stroll or at least a drive by. Some rare aircraft to see. There are two more off site on Ness and on Portage. Great hidden gem.

Great way to pay respect to the people who serve and are still serving the people, sacrificing theirs lives for the good of humanity. Salute. There are history and information on every aircraft.

A lovely outdoor "museum" of vintage aircraft . A snapshot of days gone by, a nice place to visit if you're in the area. There is ample parking, but could use a handful more picnic tables, as it is a nice place for a picnic.
