A standard pub with a wide range of food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and there is a good atmosphere when it gets busy.

We hired the external cabin for an afternoon 40th birthday celebration and were pleasantly surprised at what this great venue offers! Despite not having any closed doors the venue is kept cosy and warm by several electric and gas heaters which really do help to create a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and promptly replaced the gas cylinder when it ran empty. We ordered pizzas from the menu which were all delicious and went down well with guests. Overall this is a great place to host a private party and I will be recommending to friends!

We went in for a drink on a Friday evening before Christmas. It was so busy. Nice bar service. They had a panto outside in a marquee, which wasn’t expected and was a lovely surprise. We paid and watched, it was good fun and not planned. Good atmosphere in the busy pub.

Very cozy, nice staff. Ideal for a drink. Sunday roast wise, still some work to be done imo. Not impressed by the Chicken & Beef mix in the picture (some veggies come on the side), Price £17.

Dave the landlord always so welcoming and friendly. Booked a table for a Saturday and he even called and asked if we could do half an hour later just so we weren’t disturbed from the rugby, so thoughtful. Always good food and lovely atmosphere 😊

Used to love this pub, especially for the rugby. However, realised today its card only, just another establishment conforming to this disturbing society we live in. I'm quite capable of paying card but I just don't like not having the option.

Handy, friendly pub when visiting Wokingham. Beer is still great (40 years on!) and it retains the classic pub feel. Sad to see the TVs inside (could have kept them in the tent?) and the party food was a bit limited. Staff were great.

Highly recommend this place, the manager made us feel really welcome and Tom who served us was absolutely fantastic and went out of he's way for us! Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic staff

Semi chilled lager at 5.10 a small bottle...dumped on the bar, not even served, by a surly looking barmaid. Seated area grubby, cushions look from the local jumble..food a shambles. The pub itself is cosy but like being in the UK 30 yrs ago !

Great location to watch the football today, booked a table earlier in the week and it was reserved and ready. Great service at the bar, even though really busy. Wanted to stay for Sunday dinner, but vegetarian option was not suitable for me. ( I have a nut allergy and only option was nut roast).

Always busy when I have been there and this was no exception being Sunday. That said, accessing the small bar ensured speedy service. Chose not to go for food but it looked good, just a bit busy.

Service for food was awful. Server had no idea what he was serving us and handed me a plate that was so hot it actually burned my fingers. And the burger gor the price was awful. It tasted like it had been frozen from Icelands or something. Very disappointed!

An awful burger for £16.50! Could have got better at a Spoons. Disgraceful. Food wise The Ship has gone downhill . For just a beer it’s still decent though

Great Fullers pub with well kept beer but a word of warning ⚠️ it was card only no cash

Reasonable range of good beers. Always very welcoming and the outside heated beach huts are excellent for a warm cosy evening outside.

Really nice & cosy pub with a good range of drinks. It was busy as the football was on but we still managed to find a seat. We will definitely return if we’re in the area again!

Really lovely meal here tonight. Chicken and cous cous salad. Nicely done! Always think of this as a place to drink but the food was great

Great traditional pub with a reasonable selection of beers, well kept. Also does food, but I haven't eaten there. Lots of sheltered outside space.

Went in for a quick pint. Sat outside and they had lots of places to choose to sit. I can imagine it would be good to watch the sport here. Will be back!

Great pub. Nice real ales (Fuller's Pride and ESB) Quick service. Not been here for years, but as good as I remembered. Cannot comment on food as never indulged. Thanks.

Quaint pub with large car park and outdoor seating. Provides cook meals. This was one of 2 pubs recommended in Wokingham.

Went here for lunch yesterday and it was wonderful. So well looked after by Tom & Lara - thank you. Even the landlord came to say hello which was nice. Food was great, we had the burger (amazing!) and ham/egg/chips - all very felt really safe too. COVID processes are flawless & Christmas decs looked wonderful. Please book in for a meal - you won’t regret it & the pubs need us more than ever right now!!

Really helpful and friendly team working there. Decent ales, sky sports and fireplace. They put loads of effort in to make sure we had a good sunday roast, ensuring what we wanted to have was on the menu and even turned the F1 on the TV when the football finished (despite it causing them to need to reset the whole system). Will definitely be back.

😠 Get 1 star for correctly putting us on a table so we could watch the Ire v Eng rugby. Beyond that - truly awful. I pre booked a “bucket of 6 beers” but as it turned out they didn’t have any (non-lager) beers - so they couldn’t fulfil the order. We eventually ordered drinks and food through their QR...
