Good fish sandwich and fun place to go. It can be a bit loud and hectic so don’t expect it to be a relaxed meal. Drinks are sold separately by street vendors walking around the tables.

Stopped by here to try Balik Ekmek this afternoon and while the service was friendly enough, I was quite disappointed by the sandwich. I mostly received a 6 inch piece of bread with onion and lettuce. The piece of fish was tiny, nothing like the filets you see in some of these other pictures. Sorry I didn’t remember to take a photo till after I started eating! 😂

Great place for local fish kebab. It's simple but tasty and for 50 tl you get a solid dish of fish🐟🥙

Bread is very thick and hard. They will come over and serve you a cup of red Turkish pickle juice. You can liken it to apple cider vinegar but it’s a very acquired taste. Staff are helpful and quirky. They do understand you’re a tourist and will help you out a bit with sitting and ordering. But if you can, find a place that has the fish in a wrap than the thick sandwich.

Sandwich was good enough I guess. Fish and bread were fresh. Hard to enjoy the food though when the one male staff member thinks the best way to bring in customers is by shouting aggressively at walkers buy from a distance, waving them in, and giving them a threatening glare, like they'd be sorry for not buying food here.

Happy! Much better than I imagined. Don't usually like mackerel, but this is grilled to just the right temperature so that it is soft and tender. Lots of lemon juice or pickle juice and pickles make this simple sandwich one of the best street food items I have come across in Istanbul.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere is very unique. The service was also very nice.
