Very popular spot for locals. You order what you want, they bring that to your table. Once the dish is empty they will keep bringing it over until you tell them to stop. Many complementary additions such S, soup, rice, tea, veggie sticks, Burmese tealeaf salad etc. As I was traveling alone in the private tour, I invited the guide and driver to the table. All the amazingly tasty dishes for 3 people with many second and third servings was about $12!

So crowded at lunch hours. Some food items sold out. There you can sit and eat on 2nd floor like traditional style.

Each dish has its own style and taste. On top of them the vegetables soup is the best. Excellent service. If you are expecting a traditional Myanmar cuisine this is the only place in Yangon.

You can get variety of Burmese cuisine here. The taste is not the best in town but it is enjoyable as for me. And compared to its competitors, it is affordable too. And I feel like they have a lot of generosity with refilling your cuisine. Other shops do not offer such kind of service.

This restaurant is an all-time-favorite Burmese restaurant. If you are willing to try Burmese dishes without worries of any diarrhea or sickness, this place might be it. Food: in my opinion, they have the most authentic Burmese dishes. Not Shan state food, not Ra Khine food, I mean authentic Yangon dishes that most Burmese eat easily in Yangon city. Some dishes are oily as they are meant to be and most are truly delicious. Service: waiters are really friendliest people. They are very kind. They refill your dishes when you have eaten it all but only charge you for one dish portion. That's the most generous act in restaurants in my experience. Another thing is, they prepare dishes very quickly. After 3-5 minutes, all dishes including rice plates, water cups, green tea cups, and soups are all at your dinning table before you settle down in your seats. I was really impressed. Moreover, they treat free green tea salads along with jaggery candies. Environment: I won't say it was quiet. There were many customers too. It was more like very causal Burmese restaurant. It is definitely not a place to work and relax or have a long conversation with your accompany. The place is very localized. Food, plates and cups seem to be clean but everything is not modern styled. Parking: there are a couple of parking spaces. I would say about 5-7 cars can park. Overall, if you are looking for clean, reasonable priced and authentic Yangon dishes, please visit this place. Sharing is caring. Great local Yangon food. Quite expensive and oily food.

Absolutely lovely. Other traditional restaurants are not that hygienic because they're run by old guard. but Aung Thu kha is in a different league. Hygienic and absolutely Tasty Delicious food. With A majestic hospitality. The servers and Waiters make you feel straight up royalty. The hospitality is awesome. The chairs and Tables are at good correct height. The utensils are good. It's also good to take picture as there are lots of good Aesthetic Myanmar traditional paintings on the wall. All in all, Aung Thu Kha is one of the restaurants that makes food feel like home and gets That warm & fuzzy good feeling in ur belly. 10 out of 10. My only regret is that I was too busy chomping down food and forgot to take pics. Fml haha

The foods are tasty, there are several foods in this restaurant. But you need to go early not later than 1pm because you can choose the type of foods what u want to eat between 12pm to 1pm. If late, there are less food.

A decent Burmese cuisine for lunch mostly. Not sure about dinners. FYI, another building in the back on this restaurant is cleaner, decorated with paintings and better lighting.
