Kandawgyi Park or also known as Kandawgyi Nature Park, was built during colonial period. It’s located in Yangon, Myanmar. Not too far from Shwedagon pagoda. There are some restaurants located inside that offer nice views and decent meals. Great place to picnic with friends and family as well as chill on the weekends. Peaceful environment for walking workouts.

Big park on the edge of the Royal Lake. Great to walk around and enjoy this respite from the city streets. Best enjoyed during the cooler parts of the day. There is no swimming, no football, no cycling, no selling, no music and most importantly no sex in the park! Go one morning for a very pleasant walk around the lake and take you time in this park to just enjoy ...

The renovated bridge is so much better than the previous half-broken and dangerous one. There are more rubbish bins along the bridge and it's very clean now. It's good to walk and run in the early morning and evening. You can start walking from Signature entrance or Kandawgyi entrance.

Great refreshing place for relaxing and doing exercise. There is walk way bridge inside kandawgyi lake inner rim, also ring road around the park. Wide parking lot and famous restaurents around there. Good to go with family and kids. Best place for walking exercise near downtown.

Morning walk or evening walk on the bridge around the lake is the best. You can also watch sun rise and sun set view from the some where between the bridge.

When I arrived at Kandawgyi National park, I saw some people are doing exercises actively but it is not crowded. One of amazing view was some one or two people are roaring something. Actually that's one of yoga exercises. You can see peaceful views in there, such as lake, greenery grass and trees and also Birds.

I have been to many city gardens around the world and the atmosphere here is surprisingly the best! It is always a joy to come here. So many children running and playing with their friends and/or parents. Live music from an amateur street performer. People taking pictures for Facebook (or me for Google Reviews). I want you, the person who reads this review, to put this place in your bucketlist if you are going to Yangon. You will not regret it!

Peaceful and quiet. It is not too far from Shwedagon paogda. You can walk around the lake, sit on the grass. There are many old trees and natural birds in the park. You can observe the daily life of local people in Yangon, maybe even talk to them, they are so friendly and happy.

A park in ghe heart of the city, for people to enjoy. The park is surrounding the lake, and can enter from multiple entrances. I entered from the pagoda road side. Entry is free, and parking is free. I remember they used to charge (the other side). Park has jogging trails, connecting bridges, green grasses, interesting trees and benches. Many young/adults/old folks hang out. It is relatively clean, but many people do litter a lot, just like the rest of the country, which is a sad thing to see. People come with expensive cars and come picnic, and leave trashes behind. This has to change. Along with many other bad things in Myanmar, including the junta government, of course. Sorry about the political rant. There are many established restaurants within the park itself, and they are mostly good, a bit more expensive than other places, but many has quality. All in all, it is a good park to hang out.

It's windy, shady and pleasant. It will give you only natural and authentic beauty of Yangon. I think they should plant more trees and flowers and need to improve cleanliness of the garden and pool.

Calm and quiet. You can create fun moments. The pool and the trees will refresh your mind. As a park rule, do not take dogs with you. Do not ride a bicycle in the park.

The walk way around the lake is the best and most suitable for morning walk or run. A lot of trees are there and recommend for outing or picnic if you like to do it in town. Some restaurants are there but not selling alcohol.

The lake and the bridge is so refreshing for people who want to escape from daily covid news and fear. The width of the bridge is enough for social distances rules. Thank for the people and YCDC who make the bridge and lake clean even in this pandemic. The lotus flowers are another gifts for visitors.

Scenic and peaceful. Of the several entrances to the park, I recommend the one in front of the Yangon Zoological Garden entrance, which leads directly to a boardwalk that offers amazing views of the lake, the Kandawgyi Hotel, and the imposing Karaweik Palace. Be careful at the boardwalk as there are loose wooden planks and large gaps between them. There aren't a lot of places to run to when it starts raining so it's a good idea to bring an umbrella or a poncho. Bring food and water if you plan to spend many hours here as there's very few food places nearby.

Be careful when you go there alone at night ❗ This place is good for walking and relaxing in weekend. But keep in mind " don't go there alone". I saw some post on Facebook that a few people gets robbed by thief. I don't wanna say bad things about this place but if you go there alone, be really careful. Life is short, so have fun.

Nice garden and promenade alongside the lake and a small temple. The floating path is sometimes broken and thus dangerous. Maintenance is required.

Opened again after long period of corona pandemic. Thick green nature, clean air. It was so nice atmosphere. Crowded with many visitors. But the inside park was dirty. It was so messy with plastic bags thrown away by visitors without thinking. Parts of walking road covered with bird's secretions. Need cultivating the public morals of visitors.
