Really nice place. Stunning view over the river. Perfect place for afternoon drinks, especially with the cocktail offers. Will definitely return on our next visit

Nice and relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday evening. They do 2 for 1 cocktails which is a bargain!! Food was good too. Our table had a selection of main courses and starters. Couldn’t take a photo as we ate it too quickly!!

If you're looking for somewhere to go with colleagues after work to celebrate something or meet a group of friends, it's fab, as staff are friendly and accomodating, booked a table for our group no problem, wow-factor cocktail trees are brilliant for a group and the atmosphere nice and buzzing. Never eaten there, but can recommend for social drinks.

1 of our favourite places... we had bottomless brunch yesterday for my 40th Birthday and they really looked after us. There was never a moment we didn't have a drink, they kept an eye out and everytime we were getting low another 1 appeared like magic. Thanks for making us feel special.

Pre booking is a must as it gets very busy. We originally had booked a festive afternoon tea but it wasn't available on the day. The staff handled the matter great and can not be faulted especially Ellie. Comfy seating and great views over the river. 2 4 1 cocktails availability with plenty of choice. Only downsides were the sandwiches. They were dry and rushed and the filling was everywhere. Also I reported the lack of toilet paper in most of the women's cubicles and it still hadn't been rectified over 2hrs later. Will visit again if in the area.

The 2 for 1 on cocktails were good.the bakewell tart was my favourite. We got a birdcage for lunch which is average oven type food. Fairly busy and thought the app was a bit long winded so just went to the bar.

Had 2 fabulous cocktails! Sat on a table overlooking the river with the bi folding doors opened up! 💥 we had a sneaky preview off the new cocktail menu! 1 x Solero and 1 x Tongue Twister! The service was awesome! N I can’t remember the awesome bar made who served us! Thankyou so much xxx

We loved our bottomless brunch, great value, excellent service, tasty burgers and friendly staff. Tom was our main server and we couldn't fault him, we never waited for a top up or drink. We have been before and will come again.

First time I've been in a slug for years. Feels more like a cross between Revs and Spoons now. Staff were friendly enough but cocktails here certainly aren't an art. Done as quickly and efficiently as possible with no craft or passion. Menus sticky and falling apart. Didn't stay for long. Cheap enough with a good view on the river.

Fabulous bottomless brunch here at Slug & Lettuce in York. Tom was very attentive & drinks were served frequently. Food was good too. Definitely worth the money. Will be back again

I ordered the plant based brunch with an added fried egg and it was delicious! The slow roasted tomatoes, the vegan sausages and focaccia bread were very good. Only downside would be that the music inside the place was a bit too loud. Helpful staff, good prices and good vegan options. I highly recommend it 👍🏼

Amazing experience, our servers Alicia and Emilia @ York Riverside were fabulous!! Wonderful ladies, amazingly service and kept our drinks flowing as much as we needed! Will definitely return ASAP!!

Food is great, we ordered a lot of vegetarian options which did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and friendly, but the music was quite loud... So just a warning. Great visit. Thank you for taking the time to respond to this review.

Came in for a brunch with friends. Liv was our server and what a lovely experience it was. Very pleasant and cheerful personality with efficient service.

Went for Bottomless Brunch around Christmas, the venue (Slug and Lettuce Riverside) was packed and our server Becka was outstanding. She was friendly, attentive and made sure we were well looked after! For service alone I couldn’t recommend enough

The bar service was amazing and the lady who served us really made some amazing drinks But the food was terrible we ordered Hallomi bao buns -(the buns looked and tasted like they was thrown in a chip pan and had a tiny bit of grated hallomi on it) Crispy king prawn skewers -( what was well over cooked and you could smell them from the over side of the restaurant very fishy was definitely off) Crispy chicken boa buns -(the chicken was good but the buns looked and tasted like they was thrown in a chip pan) Sweat potato fries-( you could taste dirty burnt fryer oil on them so the fryer definitely wasn’t cleaned in a while) The waitress who brought the food out didn’t once come back and check if our meals are okay or if we needed anything else even know we have pushed full plates of food to the side and trying to get her attention to please take the food away ended up waiting 50 minutes after food has been served to speak to a waitress and couldn’t so we lefted very disappointed and hungry Also the restaurant/ cocktails area wasn’t busy at all they was 5 table of 4 people or under and I can’t believe the service could be that bad when it was that bad inside and we went on a Monday as well The only thing what was edible what we was served was the gummy shark inside the cocktails

Superb huge busy pub. Food snacks are pretty decent also. Nice cocktails drinks. Enjoy the atmosphere.

We booked for a Bottomless Brunch for six of us. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING regarding our experience was absolutely superb. Never done this before so I was thinking the staff would be slow with drinks service. But let me tell you it was totally the opposite. Our waitress, Natalie, couldn’t have done anymore for us. So polite, friendly and approachable. The same can be said for all the staff members who were working Sunday 2/7/23. We travelled over from Leeds for the day but I can tell you we will be back. Thanks to all the staff for making our birthday celebrations an experience to remember.

We booked in here for a bottomless brunch and it was fabulous! Becky, Jorja and Rachel looked after us for the two hours we were there and made sure our glasses were never empty! Lovely setting and very attentive, friendly staff

Dreadful bar. Maybe this is why it was very quiet on a Saturday night. Despite better judgement I went here with a group of 12 people. Door staff were excellent-very professional. Queue at the bar was insane. Bar staff seemed mostly interested in serving the female clients first. Of particular interest was a young man, tall, brown hair, early 20s, chewing gum non stop, who purposely ignored my companion 3 times. I actually timed him and it was 16m to get served. Floor was sticky. Chairs dirty. Tables not cleared and piled high with dirty glasses. Toilets, wow, stunk beyond belief. Filthy, paper randomly scattered. DJ was awful. For some reason he wasn't aware that he was exceeding the max volume of his speakers so all the music was distorted and not pleasant. We spend a lot of time out in bars and this one was on the VERY poor end. No match for its sister branch in Leeds.

Went here for a lunch with my team yesterday. Restaurant is located at the riverside and has nice views. The place is very nicely decorated. Nice cocktails and food. Only downsides are that there is table service and you have to go to the bar to order food and drink, and food comes out at different time for 5 of us.

We called in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing.We had booked a table but had to wait quite a while for our food.Lots of people watching while you do wait and the place was filling up nicely for the evening.Great choice of drinks and the tree of cocktails look amazing.
