Thanks to others leaving their reviews for the Blacksmith, I had four lovely evenings here whist in Holland for the GP. Wish I could bring this Pub & host (Justin) home with us. We will return and in the meantime if you fancy a good beer, no banging music, local company, then head to this gem of a boozer👌🏻

Very quaint and charming. Come here and you will meet Zaandam old-timers- a warm and friendly community crowd. Justin, the owner/bartender- is cool and welcoming. (You may have a problem paying with a foreign debit/credit card, so bring cash.)

We stumbled upon this absolute gem. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and such a huge choice of beer. My husband and I fell in love with this place. We will be back.

Very good selection of beers from all over. The service is amicable and knowledgeable.

Quite frankly I simply got deceived by the high rating and the word "bar" in the name into thinking I can enjoy a good bottle of wine here... But I really can't think of a worse place to drink wine. They offered a "choice" of two reds and I got charged €25 for a really poor €3 bottle 😕😕😕

If you like beers (or even if you don’t drink beers) and you are in Zaandam, don’t skip this place. Justin is a great guy serving up some excellent beers and large variety of beers/drinks. The people are friendly and it’s always a pleasure to be here chat with locals and of course with Justin 😀

Best special beer bar in Zaandam. Ask the guy behind the bar anything about beers, he loves to talk about it. Great to see someone with such enthusiasm. Oh, and do ask for the local Zaandam brew. It is great!
