Nice cozy place. We only bought coffee from coffee machine. Lady and gentleman were so polite and friendly, they let us make coffee even that they just closed the door. We were told that this was the first Albert Heijn shop.

One of the most beautiful places I have been to! A must visit when going to Amsterdam. It is a quick 1 hour from Amsterdam central and takes about 1.5 hours to cover

The start of the windmills area. Don't just admire the unique houses here but do cross the small bridge to the garden opposite. So beautifull

The Museumwinkel Albert Heijn is a charming museum and shop that celebrates the rich history of the iconic Dutch supermarket chain, Albert Heijn. The museum boasts an impressive collection of artifacts, photographs, and interactive exhibits that transport visitors back in time to experience the evolution of the brand over the past century. One of the highlights of the museum is the recreated old-fashioned grocery store, complete with vintage products and packaging, that provides a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Visitors can also learn about the company's impact on Dutch society and explore its journey to becoming a household name in the Netherlands. While the Museumwinkel Albert Heijn is relatively small in size, it offers an intimate and engaging experience for those who appreciate the history of Dutch retail and consumer culture. The guided tours and workshops offered by the museum provide an immersive and educational experience for groups and schools.

Oldest AH Dutch supermarket chain store in the Netherlands. The store has a charming and traditional vibe. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, the space is small to visit but nicely organized. Free to visit, coffee is optional and costs 2 EUR. Close by as location to touristic area, so why not give it a try?

We visited as a group of 3. Dont know the reason but the host a slightly older gentlemen greeted every other guests but completely ignored us. We could only guess the reason behind the discrimination. However it was enough for us to leave immediately.

Charming Museum decorated in 19th century era for us to see and feel how it used to be then. You can see some original pieces-like albert hein's desk. Though they don't sell groceries now , they sell coffee for 1 euro in the backroom. Reason being that albert hein is the first grocery shop in netherlands to sell coffee (those days in back laundry room).

Small, quaint museum showing some original items from the original Albert heine store.. of course AH is now found all over the city so it's nice to see how they progressed from this tiny store. They said it isn't the original store but they made it how it originally looked like. Ask the museum staff about some of the items there and it will be very interesting including the wooden beam above your head and the squeeze blower on the counter.
