Disappointed that hotel is rated as a 4*. There is no telephone in the room- when asking reception I was told "everyone has a mobile these days!" No mini fridge. No A/C or temperature control. BOTH lounge chairs on the terrace were broken completely - unusable. Several of the tiles on the balcony/terrace were not cemented solidly & therefore created a health & safety risk - dangerous. Cigarette butts on the ground of the roof terrace. As there's no ceiling lights in the main room area, it made it awkward for even light dispersal as there's only bedside light. For a 5 night stay I expected better considering the rate we paid.

Great hotel for events, we have only been there twice but always like it. The staff are very friendly. The location is perfect, beautiful area. One time we were there for a dance show, for kids, but had a really pleasant surprise. The theater, sounds, lights and seats quality are great.

Had a pleasant couple of days here. A bit out of Utrecht but buses were reliable to make it work.

Had a great experience staying at Hotel Theater Figi. It was clean and their staff was attentive. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because there was no air conditioner. Aside from that, the Amrath has everything! A built in theater, a cinema, a bistro and bar, and it's in a great location.

I recently stayed at Hotel Theater Figi in Zeist, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the hotel's location, right in the center of Zeist in front of the Town Hall, was excellent, the overall stay was marred by significant issues that left me deeply disappointed. Upon arriving at my room, I discovered that the shower faucet was broken, rendering it completely unusable. It was late at night when I made this discovery, so I couldn't report the issue immediately. Considering the late hour, it was impossible to shower, making my stay extremely uncomfortable. I reported the problem to the reception the next day, expressing my dissatisfaction with having paid 180 euros for a room without a functioning shower. To my dismay, the hotel staff merely noted down the issue without offering any serious apologies or attempting to rectify the situation. This incident was not isolated; during my previous stay, I noticed that the bedside lamp was not working. While I dismissed it then, these recurring technical issues highlight a concerning pattern of negligence in the hotel's maintenance. What's more disheartening is the complete lack of commitment on the hotel's part to providing good customer service. I find it highly disappointing that the hotel staff did not make any effort to compensate for the inconveniences caused. A simple gesture, such as a discount on the parking fee for our vehicle, would have demonstrated their acknowledgment of the problem and a willingness to make amends. Instead, the hotel's response was dismissive and lacked the empathy one would expect from a service-oriented establishment.

We stayed for two nights on a somewhat business focused trip, and usually I am quite happy to get back home, but this time I could have stayed another night or two. The rooms are comfortable, though you might notice that they are slightly worn. I think we might have gotten a free upgrade, though I would not mind booking the same room again at a higher price. The lip of the glass pane of the shower needs to be replaced (I hadn't noticed it the first day, and during a shower water got through the gap left by the missing lip and drenched the clothes on the other side). The beds are comfortable. Auxiliary pillows are in the wardrobe. Additional blankets can be ordered at the reception (which we did so that we didn't have to fight over the single big one). The reception has generally been more than helpful, and I enjoyed all food that was offered on the premise. If we ever need to visit Utrecht or Zeist, we will definitely pick the Figi again.

Except for a false fire alarm triggered by another guest apparently taking a shower, it was a good stay! Surprised at the good value when booking early. Great breakfast buffet, though maybe not relevant if you're vegan, in which case there's options in town. Only took one picture in the room, I enjoyed the tub.

Awesome Location in Zeist, very central and close to many important places and highlights in Zeist. Around it are restaurants, bars, shopping opportunities and a park. Utrecht is 20 minutes away by bus. The hotel is located in the same building as the theater, and has a beautiful restaurant right opposite the reception. The rooms are fine, but on the practical side. You can enter the hotel at night with your room card (24/7). Great value for price!

Super charming hotel with good views of the square, if you book the Panorama room Solid breakfast. But cleaning was subpar. I found long hairs and dust in the bathroom, and a half drunk bottle of water. Miss!

Really beautiful hotel, rooms are modest but very clean and cosy. Nice film posters in the room, in theme with the hotel overall. Hotel lobby, restaurant and staff are absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend staying here!

Hotel location is very good, near a bus stop. Welcome at reception could be improved. Hotel room is spacious. Unfortunately, toilet had not been cleaned and it showed.... House keeping solved the problem. Breakfast buffet good.

Went here for coffee maybe something to eat but it is a restaurant with little atmosphere. Very business like. The cappuccino was okay, the service was aware of my presence and kept an eye on my.

Lovely hotel, need a bit of updating (bathroom tiles, no minibar fridge, little kettle - have to unplug to fill with the water or use a glass and when pouring not possible not to spill it - little details). Bed comfy, nice shower/bath tub, extra pillow in the wardrobe, lovely coffee machine, good selection of channels on TV also in English. Cinema dowstairs - great, unique addition. Very functional hotel. Staff very welcoming (breakfast a little older man was very funny, great character, made my day, buongiorno:)) One thing which perhaps hotel should acknowledge is when is very windy something is hitting against outside wall and it was so noisy that I woke up few times at night as it was constant (wind was around 40 though) For your information - had to pay tax on arrival which I wasn't aware of. Comes to around 6 euros per person per night. Lovely little town Zeist. We came to visit Utrecht, bus stop was outside the hotel which was very convenient for us. In general loved the place and I would definitely recommend it. With nicer weather would be great to get on a bike and explore this lovely area. I will definitely return.

Interesting hotel, and very cool movie theater. Kinda stuffy in the rooms. Really could use AC or a fan m, as well as a fridge. Staff were all excellent - friendly and professional. Tania is on top of her game, she deserves a raise 👍🏼

Rooms were adequate in size and were nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. However for the claimed adjective luxurious, I would expect Aircon also in the rooms and a Mini fridge. Was a bit distressed that the restaurant only accepts payment by card

Our booking was first cancelled by booking.com without a real explanation. Fortunately, Richard at the front desk was very helpful on the telephone and helped us to get our room via a direct booking with the hotel. This saved our travel plans. The hotel overall is adequate for a 4 star at this price. Strong points are a very high level of cleanliness, a generally modern feeling style (=floors, wall colours), and a location in the most beautiful part of Zeist. Weak points are the acceptable but not very good beds and the a bit old fashioned furniture in the rooms.

Absolutely loved it! The employees and the manager are just lovely. Always around to help you out, super kind and nice to chat with. If you're looking for a nice hotel where service is the top priority, this is the place to go! I've been here for PonyCon Holland as a staff member of the convention itself. Working with the hotel employees was well coordinated and nice. So yeah, nice people nice place. I'll definitely be here next year and I can't wait for it /)

Though the room is big enough the furnitures are simple. No aircondition so that you may feel a little cold in the late autumn.

I would never book this hotel again with children. 243€ for 2 adults and 2 children (2 and 4 years old) is very excessive. You could actually say that it is outrageous. However, there was nothing to criticise except for this price.

We enjoyed the suite with the balcony, facing a clock tower! Nice wide room with a view. Parking was very convenient and a good deal. Very convenient location - on a main street with great food and a bus stop which is within crawling distance. Minor minor issue: no heat. Comforter made up for it.

There were tea making facilities in the room but when I tried to fill the water container from the bathroom sink tap, the water was frothy, like the container had had detergent in it.

Very nice hotel, but as a guest you have to know that if you arrive at the trainstation, and wait for a taxi, the taxi will never come...., you have to book a taxi yourself... or call the hotel to ask them to book one... This is a time consuming situation, i waited 45 minutes before I decided to call the hotel which then called a taxi, which again took 35 minutes - not the best way to welcome one in the city of Zeist..

Excellent Hotel, great service! Staff are very friendly and the suite was really spacious and clean. With regards to the suite I think a small upgrade to the main TV in the room would be a suggestion. It's modern but not enough for a luxury suite. I do think they need to reduce or remove the carpark charge for guests, this adds €10 to the bill in reality.

Overall very positive! Breakfast buffet had a range of good options for me; my only minor complaint is that the juice frequently ran out and the cups were very small. The hotel is a short walk away from a very nice street of shops where I could pick up any little thing I needed. Noise isolation in the rooms isn’t as good as some hotels I’ve experienced, but I could only hear people standing in the hallway near my room, not people in other rooms. Bed was very comfortable. The single duvet was a drawback, as both my partner and I move around a lot when we sleep, but I understand this is more of a regional thing. (At least it was nice and big!)

Restaurant would not serve lunch until 1pm. No sign or notice announcing this. Just refused to serve. Hot/cold beverages only.

Pros: Great location! The hotel is located in a town that can be reached by bus from UTRECHT CITY CENTRE in less than 20 MINUTES, next to the hotel is the city hall, and a STUNNING CASTLE is within walking distance. A GENEROUS HELPING OF BREAKFAST was lovely, as well as LUNCH and DINNER served by the restaurant. The ONION SOUP was very special and the OMELETTE was smooth and tender. Should you try the SPARKLING WINE here as well if you would like. My room was equipped with A LARGE BATHTUB and FRENCH WINDOWS, and unlike most other hotels in the Netherland the WINDOWS HERE COULD BE OPENED. Receptionists here were very welcoming and were able to assist me in a timely manner. Cons: My room was not cleaned for two days in a row. On the first day I left my room at around 11:15 and put the label requesting cleaning on the door handle before I left. My room was not being cleaned on that day! The next morning at 10:40 those in charge of cleaning knocked on my door. As I was attending an online meeting at the time, I kindly requested them to come back in half an hour. They agreed to my request then, but they never came back to clean my room. A button of my shift was damaged during the laundry. Luckily, there was a sewing kit provided by the hotel. Thus, I was able to repair it myself. The small bag containing alternative buttons and extra fabrics which was anchored inside the inner pocket and the pocket square which was sewed inside the chest pocket of my jacket were missing as well, and it took them three days to finally confirm the loss. Therefore, after expecting my pocket square to come back for three days, I had to buy another one. I did not ask for compensation and still paid for the laundry as the items which were damaged or lost worth about only 50 euros, yet it was not a great experience apparently.
