Very relaxed park. A lot of flowers (depending on the season these change). There is even a playground for the kids. Quite a lot of stray cats and one or two stray dogs. Beware there are cars driving inside the park and some of them do drive fast even though people are expected to walk on the park alleys. The greenery and the freshness of this park were the highlights for me. Location is just beneath Topkapi saray and complex of museums.

Gülhane Park that meaning “House of Roses Park” in Turkish, is the oldest urban park of Istanbul and it is also one of the largest parks of İstanbul. There's suggestive and relaxing atmosphere and you can take a break on one of the characteristic bench inside the park. At the park entrance is possible to appreciate the " marble book " fountain with the jet of water in the shape of page. If you decide to visit Istanbul, you can not come here! I spent pleasant hours here though the best season to visit it is spring, to find the flowery landscape.

Nice park. Nice to see different sculptures and forgotten artefacts from Roman times. With snippets of history and information about each one. Beautiful park with well maintained gardens. Come here soak up the sun, sit and enjoy the best that nature has to offer.

Just off the main Sultanahmet drag lies Gulhane Park. It's really nicely laid out and houses the Museum of the History of Science and Technology in Islam - more of that in another review. The park is full of walkways and grassy areas interspersed with features such as statues (of Ataturk) and pretty water features. At one end of the park, there is a cafe which sells cay and other drinks at very reasonable prices and the waiters don't hassle you to buy more. It's popular with families and is a little area in which to relax away from the tourists' lines in the main square,

I went here with family and friends for a short late afternoon walk in the end of September. The weather was perfect - no wind and very few people around. Ofcourse all museums were closed but just walking around the walls of Top Kapi was an enjoyable experience of its own.

A quiet oasis in the midst of chaos in down town Istanbul. Plenty of seats to take in the gardens, water features, and numerous paths that meander throughout. The is a cafe for a nice break or take a book for a quiet read. A great short cut to avoid the traffic and crowds.

What a beautiful and loved park. The tulips are a delight to see this time of the year..all the colours!!! And then all the odd dogs lying on the grass, fast asleep. Well kept clean park with benches to sit and relax on when tired of walking. Parrots, herons and crows in the tall trees, all competing to squawk the loudest

A wonderful park near some of the most famous attentions in town. Even a month after the fest of the tulip festival it was still full of colour. Many places to relax, strangely not too overcrowded. Has some stone dresses for posing, fountains and huge trees. Seems rather newly made.

Gulhane Park is a lush oasis in the heart of Istanbul, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling city. Its well-maintained gardens, historic fountains, and serene pathways make it a delightful place to unwind. Whether you're seeking relaxation, a leisurely stroll, or a picnic with a view of the Topkapi Palace, this park has it all. A must-visit for nature lovers and history buffs alike.

Beautiful park with a nice playground for the kids. It’s very close to the main attractions and spice bazaar so it can get very crowded. There are two cafes but we didn’t try any. It was clean and well maintained.

It's a beautiful place to spend time out of the busyness of the city, and ending at the Golden Horn. At this time the tulips are out so the color in the park is magnificent. There are walking paths on many levels which helps keep it not so crowded. There are many seating areas for stopping to rest and observe. There is a cafe in the park as well as street food vendors and a tea truck, as well as toilets for 1TL. They were very clean. Do grab a Simit, a drink and wander this beautiful park next to Topkapı Palace

Great park in the historic city centre of Istanbul - Sultan Ahmed. This is not a large park, but well kept, large trees, benches, and seems to be popular with locals and visitors alike. It's also very close to the Blue Mosque. If you want to eat some hot chestnuts, grilled corn on the cob, or just sit in the shade of large trees and enjoy the day, this is certainly worth the visit! No entrance fees.

An oasis of calm and peace away from the busy tourist areas and main streets. Some fountains flowered areas with some beautiful trees, part of the park has some historic stonework and some archeological remains sadly I dont know any details. Also coffee shops and a cafe & Toilets. The walls of Topakapi Palace border the park on one side. Sadly there seems to be no escape for tourists from the hassle at the main entrance to the park from hawkers trying to get you to visit someone's carpet shop, etc they are predominant around Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia.

It is a beautiful and very clean and tidy park in the hearth of the old town in Istanbul. It used to be the private open area for the turkish sultan centuries ago. Its fountains are impressive. My family has new favorite place for a walk.

Gülhane park is not just an ordinary park, it has a lot of beautiful attractions. There are fountains, small little pools and bridges but also water shows and ofcourse, a statue of Ataturk. So nice to have such a park in a huge city like Istanbul!

Amazing garden especially in Tulip Season which is in April …so many great colorful tulips.. there are few cafes inside and a museum of the history of science and technology in Islam.. I have been in Gülhane before tulip season and it’s still great but now it’s another level!!

Such a lovely place. Went during the Tulip festival and it was beautiful. Has a playground for children, coffee shops and access to clean toilets. A lovely, relaxing place to picnic or just hang out. I'd avoid it during public holidays though, it's too busy.

Marhaba 👋 As humans, we often strive for perfection, but in nature, perfection can take on a different form. Despite its imperfections, nature remains stunningly beautiful. I was recently walking through a park and came across a group of trees that were contorted and bent in unusual ways, yet they still exuded a unique and captivating beauty. It made me realize that beauty can be found in unexpected places and that we should appreciate the imperfections we see around us. Moreover, the park was filled with the sounds of nature which I find incredibly peaceful and calming. The sound of birds chirping, the rustling of leaves in the wind, and the gentle flow of water in a nearby stream all came together to create a symphony of natural music that can soothe the soul. It was a wonderful reminder of the power of nature to calm and refresh the mind, body, and soul. 5 minutes far away from the blue mosque, also surrounded by fine dining restaurants.

It's nice park to walk around, enjoy the trees, etc. Rather quiet and well kept. You can find a small yard for kids to play around. Plus quite a lot of small historical tablets, fountains and other stuff to photo. The tiny cafe cabin in the middle of it is actually nice and cheap. Make sure to visit and take a breath after all the tourist shops.

Nazım Hikmet’in meşhur Ceviz Ağacı şiirindeki dizelerle anılan Gülhane Parkı; İstanbul’un nefes aldığı yerlerden biri.

Gorgeous place to sit for a bit, enjoy a light breeze and take in instanbul's beauty. You can sit in the grass or if you're lucky enough to find an empty bench you can really take in the sights!

It's a beautiful garden of Ottoman history and Museum of Islamic science. Try to avoid weekends. Nice and peaceful in the weekday mornings.

It locates in the middle of the most touristic area in Istanbul. It's a beautiful garden. Peaceful in the weekday mornings. avoid weekends evening as weekend are too crowded. Very nice quiet place to shelter from sun with fountains and flowers. Tall trees, flowers and presence of birds makes your soul relaxed. Be sure to walk all the way through the park, as there is a sea view at the end.

This park is a must place to visit. When you enter this park, you are covered with a special atmosphere, tall trees, many different paths and of course central alley. Me and my friend visited this place twice, during the day and in the morning during the morning run. I would recommend to visit this park in the morning for fully spiritual experience.

Been here a lot. This is my favourite place in Istanbul. At the end of the park you can reach the sea side and enjoy the waves. The park closes at 10 pm as far as i know.

This park was once the private gardens for Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. It is located in the Fatih neighborhood and is adjacent to the palace and all major sites such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. I would recommend visiting the park in the morning before 10am as you will have a more serene visit. Don’t worry about the large dogs you may see - they all seem to be docile and the plastic buttons in their ears means they have had their shots and been sterilized courtesy of the local government which helps keep down the stray population.

A beautiful and peaceful park along the walls of the Topkapi palace. One can enjoy a stroll in the sun, sit on the benches and read a good book, or simply just let the beauty of the place to sink in!

А great couple in the center of Istanbul. Tulip festivals are traditionally held here. It is beautiful! Lots of places to be alone. There are cozy and quiet cafes. The entrance is free.

Perfect place to just rest and relax on the couch or ground. Watch out for gull feces though as they poop from atop the trees. Also bring some 1 lira coins in order to use washroom. (Restarant inside the park sells bottle of water at 3 where you can get changes) A good respite from bustling old Town and visitors to nearby mosques.

Nice park to sit down and relax at your days off. This park offer a beautiful view and enough park chair. If you have baby this one could be the option. It’s free! You just need to scan your belongings and just go in. People spend their time taking photos and made memories here

Excellent place to rest even if it is crowded. There’s a playground, lots of grass to sit on, benches and shadow. Sometimes even nice breeze from the seaside. Clean and relaxing. We’ve spent few hours there just reading books and chilling.

The most beautiful park I have ever seen. If you are a person that likes nature you should go there and you can even have picnic there! It is a big park that has many restaurants near it. In front of it you can see the sea and both sides of İstanbul and the galata bridge. The prices are good there not like most touristic places so you should really go.

A very peaceful park in the middle of a busy historical Istanbul. You can come here to rest and recharge after seeing all the sites in the area. Many places to sit down and enjoy the beautiful trees and flowers. A mini Central Park! Buy some roasted corn and chestnuts here while you sit and relax! Enjoy being in Istanbul like a local.

Spectacular display of tulips in this week maintained park and garden with fountains and path ways. There's also a nice cafe where you can sit and watch the heron fly in and roost in the tree tops. We walked from one end to the other then out along the coat road

After walking around a busy square of the blue mosque, I stumbled on Gulhane Park. This was the old garden of Topkai palace now its open to the public. Lots of bences to sit relax listen to the birds, read, sleep, picnic or pet the stray cats. There is a playground for kids. There is a prayer room, cafes and toilets. Toilets are 1L using card only. Up from this park is another park, which is near the sea front.

This is a beautiful park right in the middle of the historic area in Istanbul. The park is big and hosts several museums, restaurants, kiosks. It is very enjoyable to walk through the park specially during tulips season. The kids will have fun too.

Accidentally stumbled into this park while trying to get to Topkapi palace, but it was one of our favourite parks in Istanbul. Nice walking paths, gardens, a bridge with some water fountains/ponds. It was decently busy when we went during the middle of the day, but the park had a sense of calmness to it.

One of the best places there. Trees are so big and nature, humans, animals are in harmony here. You have to use restaurants' restrooms in case you need it.
