We went to Sulemaniye Mosque and there we met Fatih, who kindly explained a bit about the meaning of the prayers and the basics about the mosque. Later it was prayer time so we were asked to leave and Fatih invited us to the centre. There we met Betul, Mihrimah and other amazing volunteers and had tea with them in the garden. It started to rain but we didn't mind since we were having such a great time. We learned so much about the culture and the islam, the volunteers kindly answered all the questions we had. We also learned a lot about my boyfriend's ancestors since they came from Izmir to Uruguay in the early 19s. We were invited with dates and since we never had turkish coffee before, they made some for us! We were also given brochures with walks suggested by locals which we followed the next days and absolutely loved them to escape from the more touristy paths. What else can I say, I fell in love with this city and its people. I recommend this experience to everybody who comes to Istanbul, and I hope to see everybody again in the future. Thank you so so much to all the volunteers for your hospitality!! Vero & Martin (Uruguay)

We were carried away by the interesting excursion by the centre's volunteer Aminah. She made a great introduction to the Muslim culture and answered all our questions. Her story was so gripping that we didn't notice how 2 hours passed by. The cultural info centre that has such wonderful volunteers deserves 5 stars.

Amazing place. Full of volunteers all over the world that are there to help you in understanding the culture and the religion. Questions and discussions are always welcome since they are very kind and super nice. We think that it is the perfect spot to learn more and to appreciate more this country.

Suleymaniye Cultural Info Center (beautiful Place) Meeting volunteers at the Cross Cultural Center was a highlight for me and my friends in Istanbul We were blown away by the hospitality and kindness that was shown to us right away. Not only did they provide us with information about the Suleymaniye Mosque, they also shared beautiful parts of their culture and religion with us. We were very happy and grateful for our experience there! Thank you all again so much

I visited the center and I enjoyed their warm hospitality. The people there are so friendly and informative, I really enjoyed the sweets and the tea they offer. It was a relaxing day and I got to learn about the history of the Mosque and the buildings that have the Roman/Ottoman style.. The markets are just next to the area as well.. If I come back to Turkey, then I have to come again and see the people in there, I gained good friends and teachers about the culture and the religion.

Me and my friend were visiting the Suleymaniye Mosque and a very kind volunteer Zehra came to us and offered her help and guidance. We asked her about the history of the mosque, about Islamic culture, Ramadan. We had very nice conversation sharing our views and thoughts, and then she offered us to visit this Cultural Center, to have some tea/coffee with baklava on the house. They were were kind, open and nice. It was such a pleasure to communicate with the staff and to know more about their culture. We left their Centre with a feeling of love and calm, we were filled with energy and positive emotions! I highly recommend to visit this place. They also invite people for dinners and networking. And this view! It’s gorgeous 🥰

A cute historical mansion with a gorgeous view and (you won’t believe it) a cistern underneath it! The volunteers are hospitable and they make regular presentations about their faith and culture to the tourists. It’s a great atmosphere, not to mention the free tea and baklava. Overall highly unique experience.

Excellent info center adjacent to the Süleymaniye Mosque. You can drop by or make an appointment in advance to visit this lovely place to pick up some useful information on the mosque and Islam as well as the old town of Istanbul. They serve you everything they have at no cost and provide you with complimentary literature. I was even served Manuka Honey along with high quality Turkish honey.
