I do understand that what happened was a one time event, which they were fixing as I was leaving, but the hostel had bed bugs and ticks. We found two blood filled ticks in our bed in a span of four nights and left. The hostel was nice enough to give us a full refund, but the money "saved" was less than the doctor's visit (blood test and antibiotics). I have bacteria in my blood, itchy red bumps all over my body, and a fever. The level of hygiene was beyond unacceptable. Despite this, it's a good hostel. A good social area upstairs, great location, and staff that was super friendly. Ps. The funky smell in the bathrooms is sulfuric, and can be easily removed by lighting a candle for one hour per day.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Horrible experience! No respect for privacy and horrible management. At check in, I was given a shared room instead of the private ensuite I booked. The night clerk said I will have to talk to the manager in the morning to rectify that. In the morning, I was “upgraded” to a private ensuite with “sea view”. Two days later, they enter my room without my knowledge, stuff my things in my luggage, and move it back to the shared room. The reasoning was: I was upgraded, but now they’re booked… There are many alternatives in the area, choose them!

It is a great hostel that is located in one of the most convenient places in Istanbul. Many of Istanbul's great attractions are within walking distance. The hosts are very accommodating and will help you with anything you need to have a great stay. I wholeheartedly reccomand this place. You don't need to look further!

The best hostel, I've been. Great location on the main street. Good price. Cheap enough for downtown Istanbul. And cool people. I met Rustam and he was very nice to me. Good view from the windows and terrace. I will come back 🖤

Me and my husband stayed there 1 week ago. I really liked the receptionist, he is always very nice and smiling:) We took a food tour, and it was amazing! The manager (guide) explained a lot about the city, his explanation was very interesting and he took us to many great restaurants. We were both glad to take the food tour 🙂 The hostel had good vibes, the location and view from hostel is great!

Very near to blue mosque and agia sofia. Perhaps just 50m away. Staffs are helpful. Facilities are great. The roof top cafe bar is a plus.

Great location, nice views, some minor down sides Pro’s - very close to main sites. 4 bed dorm nice. Pretty cheap bar with Bosphorus views. Good kitchen (BYO lighter), good wifi. Manager helpful with planning trip & local tips. Con’s - 8 bed dorm sucks (noisy from street, bathrooms dirty, and lock to dorm door broken), smoking inside of the upstairs bar area

I checked my bed in Room # 6 after 1 night because I heard that some guests who stayed in the private room left earlier because of bed bugs. And of course , is l also found bed bugs big and small. I told the manager and he said he would "take care of it" and he offered me a private room. I told him that I am not interested in staying. My roomate later told me that he spoke to the manager and the manager thought that I had made up this bedbug story because I did not want to pay for the room. My roomate said 2 hours later, they had already assigned my bed to another guest. I later met a traveler 1 month later who had said he stayed in Room #5 before me 2 weeks peior and he also had bed bugs. So #5 ,6 and private has bed bugs , and they clearly don't care and make no attempt to resolve the problem. See pictures below.

I really enjoyed my stay. This place is located in one of the best area of Istanbul, near the main attractions, cafés and restaurants. The hostel is clean, super friendly, has a roof terrace and is facing the Bosphorus which is super nice mostly at night. My room was very comfortable, spacious and had a private bathroom with a window. All in all, I would definitely stay there again. A special thank you to Ali and Seyf for being welcoming and helpful!

This place has bed bugs. We stayed here 3 nights and got bitten all over. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but on top of the bed bugs our room was directly below the bar floor, which apparently turns into a night club at night. They were blasting music until 2am most nights. If you’re looking for a quite and clean place, then I would avoid this place and the Sultanahmet area in general.

Okayish place. No hot water in the bathroom and washroom. The place is near the centre and Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque is a 5 mins walk.

A small hotel in a very good central location, many sights within very good walking distance. Public transport was also within 10 minutes walking distance. We felt like a small family Got everything as booked. Bright spacious rooms. Very clean rooms. All staff without exception extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. They take time for small conversations, give good advice on questions and are always available. Very big thanks to shakir who helped me to get to my next location ❤️ And also thanks to the entire team! I will definitely come back again!

Very friends and welcoming hosts, enjoyed my stay. Loved the roof top bar which has amazing panoramic view of Antolia side of Istanbul. Awesome location for tourist attraction, 5min walk to Blue mosque and Agia Sofia! I had to leave one day early after two nights and host very kindly refunded me 80% money even thought it was less than 24hrs notice, thank you so much!!

The staff of this hostel is the best! Shakir and Bugra were really helpful and nice. They made us feel welcome all the time, and they were willing to help us with anything we needed. The location is perfect, few minutes walk from Ayasofya and Topkapi and other areas of interest. Definitely recommended!

The location of this hostel is just perfect. Next to Hagia Sophia but still in a very quiet area. The staff is really nice too and happy to help with any problems or recommendations. Would definitely go there again!

Awesome hostel. I stayed here for a couple of weeks. They do dinner every or every other day on the rooftop terrace. They have pub crawls a couple of times per week. The hostel is small enough to feel family but large enough to have a social life. Bugra Sakir and Osman are awesome.

GREAT HOSTEL, PERFECT LOCATION, AWESOME STAFF! The hostel is located only 2 minutes walk from the blue mosque. It is in Sultanahmet, perfect location for a tourist visiting Istanbul. Kadir (manager) is the best! He will organise ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you need - tours inside of Istanbul, trips to other parts of Turkey - wherever! Good prices, really trustworthy and great people. What more could you want?

it is an excellent place I stayed here for about 4 to 5 days and the staff is very cooperative the location is very easily accessible to all the nearby areas and all this stuff and everything it is highly recommended for coming to Istanbul that they should visit and stay in this hostel. at first it is very close to hagia Sophia and the blue mosque and it is always a buzzing with the people around you apart from that it has a very close vicinity also like a roof top cafes and where you can enjoy after having a very busy day

My staying at this hostel was great. The staff is nice and friendly, always happy to help. The position is very central, 5min by walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagi Sofia. Around there are plenty of restaurant and cafes. They also arranged a taxi for us from the hostel to the airport. I would go back for sure! A big hug to the cutest dog ever 🥰

Nice hostel at a great location, only a 3 mins walk away from Hagia Sophia! The staff (both 2- and 4-legged) is friendly and super helpful! I stayed in the 6 bed mixed dorm on the 1st floor; it's a bit hard to get on the top beds (ladder is slippery), but you can get used to it after a while. I had some issues with the WiFi (signal wasn't strong for video calls), and especially in the mornings, you just can't connect (works at reception, didn't test anywhere else). They also organise socials (dinner, pubcrawl) for a small fee. I'd recommend this place for anyone who visits Istanbul on a budget and wants to be close to Old Town! Thank you!

Amazing staff! Super friendly. Ended up staying for over a week! All facilities were clean and spacious. Met amazing friends. Great atmosphere and very social even though it is the off season. Shoutout to Chi, Sakir, Sino, Osman, Kadir, Layla, Sinnay, and Milo! Definitely coming back!

I loved my stay at Cheers Vintage!!! Everyone was dope to talk to and hang out with!! Even Milo (the hostel dog!!)!!! It was so dope that they have offers if you are very flexible or have nothing to do. The location is great, you are right next to the coast of Istanbul looking at the other side. Great for easy routes. Also right next to some tourist locations. Definitely worth coming back!!!

GOOD :I have been here for four nights it was wonderful and good for meeting new people and friendly people. BAD : we heard voices front of our room and also behind room which sound come from that behind hotel I think.

We stayed for 5 nights in their private 3-bed room. We liked it so much that we booked it again for our trip back to Istanbul! The building is harmoniously colorful. Super clean as well. The staff is friendly and cheerful. Totally recommends !

Phenomenal location. I have been living in Istanbul for 3 weeks. You're not going to find a better location for tourist attractions. The facilities are nice. The value is exceptional. Very nice roof terrace with a chill bar. Suitable for all ages and people from walks of life.

Place definitly worth to recommend. Host is great, location couldn't be better, prices are reasonable. I had a great time visiting this place, however i had to remove one star as photos of rooms were picruring best ones, not all of them. Maybe you'll get something still comfortable but in a little worse condition (i want to say one more time, still in good condition, but not as on photo).

WORST HOTEL EVER. First, I booked two nights in a private. Upon arrival, they told me my room was under construction and I had to move to some disgusting hotel next door. They then canceled my reservation and still charged me $96. Staff was rude and hostel was extremely run-down. I’ve stayed in over 100 hostels and the business practices here were the worst I’ve ever seen.

I wonder how these places get so many positive reviews when they don't even offer the bare minimum. The internet always worked badly, the place was filthy and the people taking care of it couldn't care less. I asked if they had a lock and their answer was it wasn't necessary lol. The place is a mess.

Stayed here for one night. Seemed like a nice hostel, had more of a party-vibe to it rather than i home-vibe. The hostel didn’t take card atm, so the owner offered me not to pay and rather to leave a nice review.

I stayed here back In April 2018 during my first solo travel ever. First bad experience staying in this hostel where I have to stay in basement room with dirty room and messy bed. 1 bunked with 1 single bed. Rude receptionist who doesn't being helpful at all.

Fantastic location, near everything and a lot of restaurants. Private room is confortable and big, with AC and private bathroom. Also there is a terrace with sea views, we can recommend it!

Great stay here. Kadir and his lovely staff are really nice and helpful, especially for me as a long distance bike traveller. I could store my bike easily even for some days while I was away. Kadir knows the city very well and has the best tips. Highly recommended hostel
