I didn't go in because of the high price of tickets. By charging 1000 TL per person and being open 14 hours per day, 7 days per week, they are obviously trying to compensate for the huge loss of tourist revenue since Hagia Sophia was converted into a mosque two years ago. But by charging so much that hardly anybody will go in, they are making a big mistake. It's no surprise that they don't mention the entrance price on their website! They need to reduce the price drastically. 300 - 350 TL would be much more reasonable.

Not a museum, just a long walk through a bad documentary film. Do not visit! I wish I could give negative stars.

They are charging expats living in Turkey and paying taxes four times the local ticket.1000 TRY? No thanks. Overrated and totally unnecessary musuem. AVOID. It's a musuem that could have been a YouTube video.

I went during the weekends. The museum is mainly a crash course on Hagia Sophia's complex and lengthy history condensed into a sub one-hour experience. It's best to experience the museum before visiting the actual Hagia Sophia because you will be more aware of the details once you actually visit the Hagia Sophia

It's absolutely spectacular place. (I recommend to visit it before seeing Hagia Sophia. ) I visited majority of European museums and galleries and in my opinion none of them delivers such well designed, implemented and organized show. It should be visited by museums' curators and managers as a reference place to study how to organise effective, modern, multimedia exhibitions. It perfectly attracts kids' and teenagers' attention delivering necessary and sufficient information to understand why Hagia Sophia is such a unique edifice.

It's a very interesting museum, combining the theatrical and ancient artefacts. It began with about 30 minutes of visual graphics about the history of the Hagia Sophia, and after that, the artefact section. The entrance fee of 50 euro for foreigners was expensive though.

Yapı ve ihtişamlı görünümü ile verdiği intiba harikadır. Sultanahmet'e gelmiş iseniz Dikilitaş'ı da görürken şuradan da bir geçiverin derim. Mekân itibarı ile çok yakınlardır.

Excellent place to visit. In this museum they show you on massive projectors the history of hagia Sophia going from room to room. If you don't know the history of hagia Sophia, you will after this tour finishes.

Incredible experience. Video is super immersive. Be sure to turn the volume up on your headsets to make sure you catch everything. The narration is really cool and offered in multiple languages. I felt like I got a lot more out of this museum and then can experience Hagia Sophia properly understanding the history. Staff are really lovely too and guide you through the exhibits. Definitely come here on your trip to Istanbul!

It is a very nice and interactive museum. The museum should be visited before the Hagia Sophia Mosque for a better understanding of the history. Thanks to Ms. Saadet and Ms. Anna.

Bu bina Kara Para Ask (Netflix) icin Emniyet binasi olarak kullanilmamis miydi? This building is used for popular Turkish TV action-drama TV series, Kara Para Ask (in Netflix). It is my all time favorite Turkish film ... among one of the best overall also. This square is a great location for NOT only tourists to visit also for people like me, native Turkish.

"For us, as enthusiasts of Turkey as a tourist destination, it's crucial to return here and have the opportunity to discover new places to visit. We were pleasantly surprised by this wonderful museum, which opened not long ago. Hagia Sophia is a place one desires to revisit time and again. In this museum, we discovered many new facts about its existence. Audio guides in various languages, all the digital equipment working automatically, and top-notch service provided by the remarkable staff. Thanks to everyone involved in this project!😊🍀

This is a must-visit place before touring Hagia Sophia. You can hear all about the history of Hagia Sophia here. The content is easy to understand as it supports animations and many languages. The price is 25 euros, so it’s not cheap. However, I think the admission fee is absolutely worth it to understand the significance of Hagia Sophia in more detail.
