Can't miss. Best place in town. Unique vibe.
Stayed for a few night, the beds are ok with proper covers, not just a very thin sheet. Nice garden and small pool. Its pricey for the area, but service is good. You can go out and eat cheaper nearby. Remodelling going on at the moment
Nice location. Expensive hotel but service is mixed. The cleaning ladies and staff at the restaurant are very nice. But we did have good and affordable food during our stay. One waiter forgot to tell my mother her order was unavailable. We discovered it after waiting for a very long time. Ni kids menu. Staff at the desk are professional and accommodating but not particularly welcoming. Rooms were clean, however AC was noisy in one of the two rooms we occupied. This is not a place to rest because it can get quite noisy starting 8 am given the rehabilitation works going on. Swimming pool was quite nice but some young lady almost drowned (she had a sudden cramp) and the lifeguard barely listed a finger. One of her friends pulled her out of the water. The lifeguard told her later on that she could have swam back to the edge .... I was invited to park my car in the abandoned gas station at the front but my car was badly scratched while parked there. I don't know what to make of this experience but I doubt I would go back. The view is beautiful though.
Our favorite place to stay in Ziguinchor. Rooms are nice, bathrooms spacious. Minus 1/2 star because there was no hot water to shower. Minus 1/2 star because we sat at table for almost an hour and no waitstaff come to see if we wanted to order, we did want to order but ended up just going back to our room.
The location is magnificent, but several aspects were really bad. For dinner, we waited >2 hours for a mediocre meal served at different times to each person. The waiter told us there was no bread, and then we suddenly received bread later. We had booked the most expensive room because nothing else was available, but this had no mosquito net and we thus couldn't sleep because of the many mosquitoes and cockroaches. On top of this, they were renovating outside and the noise from this started early :-(
Forth visit to this place on a business trip. The more I come the clearer it is to me that the hotel badly needs a full revamp. Rooms are clean but lack modern equipment. Lights were not working. Electric box made a suspicious noise. The bathroom is…too old! The noise in the ground floor rooms start at 6am :-( and the restaurant is…limited. Dear owner, it has arrive the time to modernity our hotel please!
Excellent hotel with sea view. Rooms are best and comfy, view is amazing. Restaurant is also great, food quality is superb. Play area, swimming pool, gym are the best
Very nice hotel. Very good rooms and nice pool. Breakfast was just okay. Currently constructions at the restaurant ongoing (no constraints or noise in hotel), but storage of construction materials in hotel area / garden. All in all a bit too expensive, but would still recommend. ✅
Most expensive option in town but it’s worth it. There are more employees than guests when your visiting off season which means that the service is very good. Prices at the restaurant are surprisingly reasonable, the garden is beautiful and the sunset on the river is fantastic.
The hotel sits on the banks of the Casamance River. The open lobby is small and opens to a green area with a short river walk and a big pen with Peacocks, chickens, and Secretary birds all living in harmony. The rooms are set in a long row in one direction with rooms on two floors. The carved wooden door of each room displays its unique name. The rooms are small yet large enough for side tables, a small desk, and a TV with a few French stations. Bathroom is cozy with walk in shower and hot water, soap dispenser, and lotion dispenser. Bed is firm, with several pillows and mosquito net. Split system AC is reliable. Small refrigerator in room. The grounds are small, opening to a large riverside restaurant seating area, some covered with a solid roof and some open. Several dining areas break up seating into smaller units. Our group dinner included appetizer of delicious herb and cheese quiche or a tomato-based seafood soup, short on spice, flavor, and seafood pieces. Chicken or Captain fish main course were good served with respective light, herbed sauces. Our desserts included fresh fruit in natural juice, various ice creams, or a chocolate gâteaux or lava cake with vanilla ice cream, the best part of the meal. Service is attentive. The miscount in our pre-ordered meal was rectified with delivery of 2 missing chocolate gateaux. Good break fast buffet with egg station, coffee, 2 teas, including a local tea and several freshmade juices. Pastries and yogurt and honey Front desk personnel is very friendly and attentive. The gift shop across from and spilling out into the lobby offers unique wood sculptures and some from palm fiber raffia that I have never seen before, with a few true antique pieces.
